I could tell most of the clientele here were coming for returns, and there were only two employees there. They definitely were trying their best to try to get the customers in and out and they did not seem like the happiest campers, but these folks are just UPS folks. Not expecting much out of them. I tried to make it easy for them by having my Amazon QR code ready and having it all packaged and shipped. It took a little while due to the line, but my encounter was quick and fast -- huge shoutout as I know UPS partners with a lot of clients; they're definitely doing their best.

So glad I did, because the notary was warm and friendly, interacted with my kids, was very professional and completed the notarization in a timely manner (and beautiful penmanship). It only cost $5 which was an excellent value compared to other places. Thank you Ms. P! Also, there is a small play area for kids at the front of the store with blocks, so very family-friendly. Around 4:45 p.m., I went in to mail a simple greeting card to British Columbia, Canada. The employee's first suggestion was to send it via FedEx for more than $70. The process didn't seem correct as she was putting it in a shipping folder, I questioned why and when I asked if I could just mail it with stamps, she told me no. I explained that I had mailed greeting cards internationally with stamps before, including to Australia, and only then did she change her answer to say she didn't know how many stamps it would take. She actually asked me how many stamps I wanted to buy, which left me completely confused. I said I didn't know which is why I came to a mail Center. I want to believe this was simply an honest mistake by someone who hasn't been properly trained. However, it's concerning that a business providing mailing services couldn't determine the correct postage or take a moment to look it up. Had I been an older or more vulnerable customer who didn't know to question a $70 shipping quote for a greeting card, I might have paid it unnecessarily. I left without mailing my card because I no longer had confidence in the advice I was being given. I've been a loyal customer because I wanted to support a local business, but after today's experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I hope the owner sees this as an opportunity to better train staff so future customers receive accurate information and don't leave feeling as frustrated as I did. I returned home and did an online search to discover that all I need is USPS Global Forever stamps (costing $1.75).
