Firstly that's a pretty important item to be out of commission at a copy shop, but secondly, that was the whole point of calling first was to make sure they could do it!

I needed to have a box of books shipped from Amazon to the Lancaster area for a meet-the-author…read moreevent. I called the store BEFORE placing the order to confirm that they would receive it. The man I spoke with assured me that they could receive it and there would be a $5 charge for holding it. So, I placed the order and had it shipped to this store. The package was delivered by Amazon to the store on September 8. I got the notification from Amazon that it was delivered, and I called the store to say I was coming to get it. The woman I spoke with said they didn't have it. I told her I had verification from Amazon that they had delivered it. "The driver came in and dropped it on the counter, but I followed him out and gave it back to him." Why? I asked "We don't accept packages from Amazon." So.....the first person I spoke to lied, and the second person went OUT OF HER WAY to REFUSE the package. This is utter stupidity. All they had to do was hold onto the packages (it turned out to be two packages) for a couple of hours and they would have made $10 for doing nothing more than hold the packages for a couple of hours. Amazon would not allow me to pick up the packages from their location. So, thanks to this UPS Store I had no books for my book signing and lost hundred of dollars in sales. Steer clear!

When I asked how it could be so expensive, they were extremely rude. I ship thousands of items per year and know what materials cost. But the worst part of all was when I decided to stock up and place a really large order, my sales rep made a mistake and they sent me double what I ordered. Then they refused to take it back. I then offered to pay for half of the order to try and work with them but they also refused that. I really didn't feel like I was liable for this order and they then sent it to a collection agency for their own mistake. I tried calling them but they just kept hanging up on me refusing to work this out after they found out who was calling. Very upsetting and unprofessional.
