If I could give this location 0 stars, I most certainly would. I sent out a package next day to my daughter. A week later, she had still not received it. It had a worth of $300. They under no circumstances offered me insurance on the box. Apparently, it was "damaged" and they just threw it away. Well, THEY damaged it, and they didn't even let me know. Then they lied and said that my daughter refused the package so they threw it away. They told me I basically have zero recourse and to suck up the loss. I will NEVER go there again! read more

To be transparent, it is my first time at this location. Upon entering, there was a customer who brought in a USPS Smart Post that goes through the UPS network. But it has to originate (dropped off) at USPS. The cashier said he could take it, but she won't get a receipt. After she pointed out the UPS barcode, he said he didn't know why that was there, but it needed to go through USPS. She was annoyed but said okay. They finished the transaction, and the 3 young men chuckled at the interaction that just transpired. Which was silly because neither of them knew what the hell smart post was. Wouldn't have been nicer to just be knowledgeable and be kind. Instead being sort of a prick? It was my turn, and I had one large box. After in forming my cashier, I had to, and he asked if I wanted to go grab the others. Cool. Fair offer. I came back with 2 large boxes. No one offered to help. That's fine. I guess you don't have to. I've just been spoiled by kindness elsewhere. Upon returning to the same cashier. The recently freed cashier said he could help me. So I gave him the other box. But mine said " I'm already helping her". I took the box back from the other worker, but not before he told me to "learn to speak up". I will but only if he promises to learn about the USPS smartpost system. These were Amazon returns. At other places, UPS has no problem with me taping the barcode to the box because they don't want to wait for me to pull it up on my app. It was different here. He scanned it but was frustrated and said, "You may not want to tape these because they'll have to come off eventually." LOL. Honestly, I don't care. There's another UPS closeby. I went to ship my package today and the line was very long. I witnessed this blonde worker lady freak out on customers and employees saying they are taking too long and needed to hurry things along. I wanted to send some clothing to my hometown, which I had already boxed. The employees seemed irritated and rudely told me I had a problem with my box, it was an "irregular" size, and they would need to re-box everything. They also said I would need to pay for a new box and packing materials. I told them the box is fine, and I would pay the extra to get it to its destination. They insisted they could save me money, and they proceeded to dismantle the box, pulling the contents out, while looking and commenting on each item. They repackaged the contents in a smaller, square box, but the cost was exactly the same for shipping as the irregular box!!! They were extremely slow in the beginning , figuring out what size box to begin with, for replacement. I had to catch a flight, but I wanted to make sure they packaged everything properly. It is always a rude experience with this UPS, as it is with the one in Helotes, (owned by the same people). Poor understanding of how to speak politely to customers, let alone, deliver good quality service. It's always a waste of time, money, and energy, making it a worthless pursuit!!! read more

I went in to do a return on my lunch break. I was worried about the wait time but Virginia was so friendly and fast with the process!

Honestly, this is the worst UPS store I've ever been to. It's the closest one to me but I've never spent less than 20 minutes in line. Unlike a lot of customers I have my packages labeled and ready to go. I have asked several times if there is place to just drop off items that are labeled. There is not. It needs to be streamlined to have at least one person always accepting packages while the others help who needs printing or shipping done. Over the last year I've wasted hours of my life waiting for 20-30 minutes at a time. If you have things to send, look into FedEx or even USPS. They go a lot faster and have drop off available. read more

This little one stop shop is great! Not only do they handle all of my Amazon returns (sorry Amazon! Lol) but they also are very helpful when I need assistance with sending a package. During the holidays they were so kind and receptive, even with a line full of customers. Its about the blonde woman who has to be the owner because she is so unprofessional and incompetent anyone else would have fired her. The young guys who work there, (except one who is also awful), are nice enough and competent. I've been there many times for notary, they've been great- but I was lucky to avoid the blonde woman... until tonight. She'd been a problem before but I was lucky to get away from her, back to one of the young guys for my last notary. It was 5pm when I walked in with my forms organized and she took me and had a problem with every single thing. Stand here, no don't sit there, you need this ID, no that ID... she never saw anything like this before, and I kept patient and polite because why not? I was in no big hurry and I understand these forms have to be done correctly. I provided everything she asked and despite her insulting me, repeating several times that my out of state license wasn't "real", my passport wasn't good enough ID... why don't I have what other people have... and finally, she wanted me to write notes on my certificate to reference the document. I told her I need to follow the instructions for my company exactly, and she challenged me to show her the company instructions, which I did. First I asked her if she'd do the form without her little additonal notes on my documents if I showed her the instructions and she said she would. So I found the instructions. I had to wait for her to help other people. I waited patiently. She said "it doesn't say you CAN'T write on their form". She refused to do the notarization. Wasting my time for an hour. OK, I don't want to write on the form so I will go without them. Now she's yelling at me about how much of her time I am taking because SHE has work to do. And I don't? It's been an hour waiting for her and submitting to her unnecessary requirements with no complaint and her making me jump through hoops only to break her word and fail to complete the task. She refuses to complete the notary, to which I did not complain, because again, I was not in a hurry and its more important to me to do it correctly than to fight with a notary about how to do their job. There's other notaries, or I can come when there are rational staff there. But she was not going to let it go. Yelling at me as I left the store. My son and I were badly shaken by this rude experience. We'll go elsewhere. read more

I went to drop off a package the minute the lady which later i found out she's the owner. saw the shipping labels made every excuses not to scan it. she was rude and very unprofessional. I went ahead and let her know it's not the first time I've used a label like this and showed her what they've done prior and have been able to scan it. so she tried it and she was able to scan it. she was super upset I proved her wrong. I went ahead and apologized if I was being rude. which I wasn't. I was just trying to figure out why she didn't want to scan it. did she turn around and apologize for her behavior. the answer is not. Two guys were working but super slow. Huge line due to slow workers. They don't let you just drop off your prepaid and prelabeled Amazon return packages without waiting in line behind all the people who are there for things that take a long time. After waiting forever, when it was my turn the guy asks me what is in the package. I said Amazon return. He says he needs to know exactly the contents. I said none of your business. He says he won't take the package without knowing. What ever happened to the concept of Privacy??? They could ask if there is anything hazardous like the post office does, but beyond that it is a HUGE privacy violation UPS!!! read more

When speaking to the manager Angela, she was rude and very interruptive. At no time did she allow me to speak completely and had no customer service or management skills. When letting her know citing another company's policies is not only not proactive, but also reckless she became irate and belligerent. Companies change policies all the time, claiming you know what another company does ( that you dont work for ) and will do to a customer is unethical. I have nothing but positive things to say about the customer service provided at the Bandera Pointe location. Every time I walk through the door, I am warmly greeted by someone and again as I approach the counter. My experiences with customer service is nothing but quick and efficient. Yes; I realize that the employees are in a customer service position and they should keep up a happy disposition. However, these people are human too. They have bad days just like you and me. You never know what kind of day someone is having. What I would like to suggest is that "we" be the change that we would like to see in others. Instead of expecting a red carpet roll out; try to beat them at extending/initiating the greeting. Ask them how their day is going and bid them a nice day as you leave. I believe you would see a positive difference in their service. Try this anywhere you visit. You may be making someone's day brighter by greeting them first. On top of all of this; it is peak season for not only UPS, but Fed Ex; the Post Office and many others. Help them to help you. I back the "Blue" and the "Brown". Way to go UPS! Service was good....this is more of a WARNING! I was in a hurry and asked to buy stamps. So, I bought 100 stamps. I asked how much they were and they informed me there was a surcharge, and stamps were cheaper at the Post Office. When I got home I viewed my receipt...yep, there was a surcharge for sure! UPS charged me a surcharge of $22 on top of the cost of the stamps. That's a surcharge of 22 cents a stamp! That's just not right. I will do my best not to have to use the UPS store in the future when they do stuff like this. read more

GO TO USPS DOWN THE STREET. It's cheaper I swear. I was in a really good mood when I came in so I'm just now realizing how awful of a choice it was to come here. I paid 13 dollars to ship a few papers to San Francisco. I also paid 20 dollars to ship a deflated football and was charged 5 dollars for a box I did NOT need. I think the reason I just kept saying yes to everything was because I wanted to get the hell out of there. It took me like 30 minutes to get this done. I also was told I didn't need to put a return address in the box I was shipping which I found out later was incorrect and is now making it a hassle to get my ball shipped back to me. I paid 40 dollars to ship some paper and a football. Like literally how the hell? It was the basic shipping too. That's like 6 Dutch Bros coffees I could have bought and I deadass feel like I should be compensated but I'll just move on and never return to this retched placed again I guess. And side note the business owner likes to blame people and reply anonymously in a patronizing way. Dude needs to touch grass. read more

So on my first visit to this location I asked why they lacked the assortment of envelopes ... Employee's response: we're waiting on a shipment to restock. I went back a week later, still the same selection! Nicely planned, it was the same employee. I asked if they received the shipment to restock - letting him know that's what he told me last week... He was definitely confused and didn't say anything. Womp womp womp. This location just doesn't have what I need- I'm not paying for an extra large envelope to mail small cards so back to the Culebra store. 2 envelope sizes? That's pretty sad. Annoying: 69 cents to mail a regular item... Hello, stamps are under 50 cents. I guess I'll just use up all of those leftover 20 cent stamps from my wedding invites. I went to a title company to transfer of a car a title for an out-of-state vehicle and I needed a notary. The person that waited on me, "owner " was a self proclaimed expert. She argued with me about forms and what part of the line my name was on. All forms were filled out by title company and all I needed was a notary. I left totally frustrated went down street to another UPS and was done in 5 minutes. Don't go there! read more

It's a hit and miss at this store. Two of the front desk staff members are especially rude--Angela and Ariana. If you are going to charge for printing a UPS shipping label and using your laptop, charge me every time. I didn't even know you charged to use that computer to print a UPS label since I had never been asked to pay that until today. In addition to that, the sign is not posted in a conspicuous area (i.e. in front of the computer, or even on the desk top) and the notice on the computer's wallpaper rotates with other advertisement messages so it is not likely to be seen (unless you sit at the computer at just the right time). It took me less than a minute to access and print the label. It's not even about the money--the total was less than $2--but it was the confrontational and disrespectful way the situation was handled that upset me. Angela then responds to my confusion to the charge in a "matter-of-fact" way telling me "well, you should have been charged before"--as if it was my fault. I tried to explain the fact that I wasn't aware of the policy, and that I didn't see it posted anywhere to which Angela proceeds to say "it's right there." I repeat that it hadn't been enforced any other time I had gone and that the charge was minimal, but was met with Angela's "does it look like I care, pay up" face. Get another job if you don't like working with people. You represent UPS when you wear that uniform, and you failed at delivering the "impeccable customer support" that is espoused on your website. It's unfortunate that an otherwise positive overall experience with this store quickly turned sour over a $1.10 charge and an (a)pathetic employee. I just hope I never encounter either of them again.
