I didn't want to pay more than the base fee of $6 (which she agreed to on the phone) and that the state says you as a notary can charge, so I went upstairs. The woman who was the notary was quite pleasant and took care of my notary service efficiently. I was told the charge is suddenly $10 and decided to just pay it as I got what I needed.
