For a place that's so busy, they are super fast and efficient and getting customer's in and out the door with a smile on their face. This has quickly become my go to store for all of my drop offs, which makes things super convenient because they will take packages for USPS as well as FedEx. Will NEVER use this store again!! They where the ones who opened my box and put foam in it and said it will be fine to ship that way, got my item and it was way beyond damaged. So how am I responsible for it? Also, the manager was very rude and unprofessional and refuse to talk to me like an adult one on one This store needs better management not to mention better works. People really need to be real about this store customer service it really is terrible and the workers lie to save their butts and are rude to you for writing a honest opinion, that is protected uner the first amendment. Took my Spectrum equiptment back o a UPS store with which they have a contract. Gave me a receipt for it to be shipped. As typical Spectrum says they did not get equiptment. Lost receipt in move his location says even with time and date they would be unable to determine a tracking number. Said they cannot reprint receipt. Also stated that they could not know where the equiptment was sent. Stating that an auo address is generated. They do not know where they shipped it. Not pleased with tracking system and customer service response of I dont know. What a way to run a business. UPS stinks. read more

I went here to have some larger framed pictures send back to my house in SF. The idea of flying with them just made my head hurt. I couldn't be more impressed with the friendly, helpful staff here. They also seemed to know what they were doing when they packed the frames up - bubble wrap, special glass tape, some foam peanuts and all the other little things that hopefully will keep my package in one piece. I'd be a fool not to write about my awesome experience with Jerome here. I'm in southern cali, and i was trying to get this limited collectible item from a Craigslist posting in this area. The seller was super protective of everything- can't send money online, no email, no phone, no address and was rather difficult to work with. I was desperate, and by long shot decided to try arranging the transaction through the ups store that can handle the packing and shipping to me. Jerome even agreed to help me pay the seller since the amount was so low. Talk about going above and beyond for someone he hasn't even met! I thought this was a sealed deal- how easy for the seller to go drop off the item and pick up his money, no leaking his personal info anywhere. Didn't even need to provide his name, only mine, but sadly it was still too much work for the seller and it didn't work out :( Bottom line is this place is as awesome as the reviews say, and I'd definitely reach out again if such similar transaction were to occur in the future. This store obviously has a great manager. You can always tell because all the employees in an establishment will be all equally professional. This place is jumping with employees ready to help. They even open the doors when they see you have a truck load of boxes. Just great customer service. They are always consistent meaning always warm and ready to help. Understand who you are dealing with here; "The UPS Store" is NOT owned or operated by UPS. This is just a franchise, formerly Mailboxes etc, that uses the UPS logo. Also, while offering the ability to ship packages from other courier services they do so at ridiculously inflated rates. They attempted to charge me almost $400 for a USPS large flat rate box shipping international. The actual USPS rate was in fact $91. When confronted with the extreme difference, the UPS store attempted to justify by saying their rate was based on dimensions and weight. Keep in mind that the $400 price quote was for USPS shipping, not UPS, and it was a flat rate box; you know, the ones literally with the tagline "if it fits it ships" They "lost" a package worth several thousand dollars and when confronted told me that although the kid that took the package recalled us discussing it being very valuable that they failed to enter the declared value. So, they charged me $90 for standard overnight domestic shipping with NO insurance of a package that weighed under a pound and fit in an envelope, a service that USPS offers for $21 with the same money back guarantee. Furthermore, rather than admitting their error, the owner attempted to insult me by saying I should have realized that there wasn't insurance because it was "only" $90 and insurance was $2 per $100 of declared value. In fact the UPS insurance rate is less than 1/2 that, the rates are right on the real UPS website for everyone to see. This store will claim they are "UPS" all day, they will also claim that the rates they charge are the same but they are not even close. Literally everything is inflated and overpriced. although the staff assisted me to mail a package, and paid for 2day shipping, there was a "mechanical problem" and it was not delivered on time for the holidays. I went back to the store LIVID, and the nice young man named Eric processed a refund of the FULL amount and I will receive within one week. However, the refund took 3 weeks. But once the refund arrived, it was NOT the full amount. I called the store and was advised it is the "fuel charge" that was withheld. My invoice shows the fuel charge is $3.70. This store refuses to pay the difference of $5.15. I have spoken with corporate and filed a formal complaint that I was told a FULL refund would be processed and I did not receive a FULL refund. The staff there is doing exactly as instructed to be kind a polite although condescending. I have left messages for the owners, with no response. So in conclusion, the store staff is sufficient, the owners are slackers in responding and the UPS overall is so-so. I will not be using UPS in the future, I will be using FedEx instead. read more

This store steals!! Do not leave until you see them package everything!! I left a few articles to ship from Glen Carbon to my home in California. The package arrived secure and undamaged. When I opened it up I was disappointed to see that they had not sent a vintage St. Louis Cardinal bobble head! When I called them they said this and that, and would make a claim for me. So I get peanuts for something my dad had given me when I was 8 years old. The "manager" was unable to resolve even though he said they have cameras and could see everything. They lie and they steal.
