But, at the end, several people mill around behind counters, all busily engaged in tasks that are probably very important to someone, and no one looks the least bit concerned to close the sale. This business is just the right size, professional enough, with the required equipment/technology/skill to handle modern bikes, but small enough to call you by name and care about what they are doing for you. I have been riding for years, and owned a few different bicycles. Each year the bikes have gotten a bit better, and the needs for a competent professional to help me take care of them has grown as well. Very comfortable with trusting this business with our needs. I had taken the bikes apart to ship them on our move from MD, and put them back together. They were okay, but just a bit wonky. Alec returned them to like new condition, everything is smooth. He even fixed my wife's chain rub problem that we have dealt with since we bought it, and three different shops back in Maryland.
