Fortunately, I found a parking spot (not an easy feat, btw) and ventured inside. I was mailing a cat carrier to a friend who had leant it to me and I had created my own box for it. Not the best create-a-box job ever, and I was worried that it would be rejected. Never Fear! As others have noted, this is the best Postmaster in the world! He laughed and said "Homemade box?" Uh oh, I thought to my self and answered "Yes" to his question. " I love homemade boxes" he said! Whew! We had a good laugh together, and my friend's cat carrier is on it's way to Wisconsin! Hurray. We thought that closing time was early! We felt thankful that the postal employee still served him. I had already affixed a postage label to the package at home, so we had to pay $0 to the postal employee in person. My package arrived to its destination on time.

In fact, I will go out of my way to avoid all other post offices even if they are closer just to come here. No standing in long lines, no dealing with contentious people, no aggravation. I know.
