No one at the convention center or another nearby sign shop I've been despite multiple attempts over an hour long to fix it. A few minutes before 5 o'clock, I found FASTSIGNS. While they were closing imminently, "Grace" said she couldn't make any promises the sign could be fixed, but that I was welcome to drop it by for inspection first thing the following morning. A few minutes after 8 o'clock this morning, Grace called-the sign was fixed! Edon and Grace greeted me warmly - and because it was a "simple" fix (for one aquatinted with signs), they refused even nominal payment for their efforts! Then, choosing 100lbs paper became a Herculean task because they apparently have an overwhelming variety. Next came the supposed issues with our design and bleeds--the same design we've used flawlessly elsewhere suddenly had a myriad of mysterious issues. When we informed Debbie that we've done this countless times before without any problems and even sent her a screenshot of a previous invoice from the Friendswood location, she responded with, "You can't compare apples to apples." Ah, yes, because clearly, printing paper and designs in Friendswood is a completely different universe compared to Galveston. Who knew geography had such an impact on basic printing? Ultimately, we paid double for a lopsided design on flimsy 80lbs paper. Debbie convinced us to settle for what "everyone uses." Her justification for the inflated price? "This is Galveston." Ah, of course, the magical land where prices double and quality halves. 10/10 do not recommend this location. Save yourself the headache.
