Next came the supposed issues with our design and bleeds--the same design we've used flawlessly elsewhere suddenly had a myriad of mysterious issues. When we informed Debbie that we've done this countless times before without any problems and even sent her a screenshot of a previous invoice from the Friendswood location, she responded with, "You can't compare apples to apples." Ah, yes, because clearly, printing paper and designs in Friendswood is a completely different universe compared to Galveston. Who knew geography had such an impact on basic printing? Ultimately, we paid double for a lopsided design on flimsy 80lbs paper. Debbie convinced us to settle for what "everyone uses." Her justification for the inflated price? "This is Galveston." Ah, of course, the magical land where prices double and quality halves. 10/10 do not recommend this location. Save yourself the headache.

Had to finally write a review to pass along some accolades. First of all, you walk in this place, and you hear the machines hard at work. I've never walked in and not seen this place humming. I know they get big clients, but I've never felt like my small orders (a dozen hats or some button down shirts w/ my logo) were unimportant. Steven or Megan is always very helpful and good at suggesting products without trying to 'upsell' me, which I can't stand. They digitized my logo when I first had it designed. This means that they translate it so that the embroidery machines can punch it out onto the hat, etc. I didn't know that you had to do this, but they took care of it quickly and cheaply. I do have to admit that during some tighter times last year I called a place in the area (that will remain nameless) to see what their prices were on hats. Scribbles Embroidery beat them by 20% easily. Learned my lesson. One thing that I didn't expect is that they have a very large selection of products in their storefront. Over the years I have seen the place expand quite a bit, and their storefront is now pretty impressive. Last week when I was there, I handed him a shirt off the rack and said "order me 6 of these with my logo." Beat the heck out of just doing the catalog ordering like I have in the past. One day I'll splurge and get my logo on some drink coasters or koozies or something for my clients. They take care of that, too.

No one at the convention center or another nearby sign shop I've been despite multiple attempts over an hour long to fix it. A few minutes before 5 o'clock, I found FASTSIGNS. While they were closing imminently, "Grace" said she couldn't make any promises the sign could be fixed, but that I was welcome to drop it by for inspection first thing the following morning. A few minutes after 8 o'clock this morning, Grace called-the sign was fixed! Edon and Grace greeted me warmly - and because it was a "simple" fix (for one aquatinted with signs), they refused even nominal payment for their efforts!
