Wow! well, I have to say the past year I have had three missing packages from other places and I went tothis Dupont Rd Fort Wayne UPS store not in the right state of mind honestly as i was a tad worried but all three ladies there made me feel OK they assured me they would box the heavy package properly. They did not ridicule me, they did not act unprofessional, they did not get offended, they did not act or respond in any negative way to my anxious behavior!! They were AWESOME!! and told me my package will get there safely and they double taped the box .. they have now regained a customer. I have not been there for a year. I will be going back to this location. I love the people they have working there now.! not to mention the line was wrapped around the door before they even opened. They handled everything so well and with a calm friendly smile...major kudos to them. I'm serious.!!! read more

There isn't any room inside the store to line up so everyone crowds in. Very unorganized and frustrating. The owner/manager needs to help the staff there. They act like they're overworked and tired of being yelled at because of the customer frustration with the disorganization of the store. One employee today was yelling at the crowd of customers how much it sucked, voicing her extreme frustration. Poor people. Their boss must suck!!! read more

Wow... what is up with all the negative reviews!?!?! I don't get where all it comes from? Unlike the other reviewers, I had a pretty easy and straightforward experience here. I bought some sweaters a while back that did not fit me when they arrived from Nautica. I needed to return it, and they had me ship it to them via UPS. I got the preprinted labels and took it to the store. They were very busy and yes I still got to the front of the line in less than 5 minutes. Guy at the register said I needed another box because there were multiple shipments, I paid a negligible price for it and off they went. I was in and out of there super quick, much quicker than what I expected! This was great because I really just wanted to get the rest of my errands done and then have lunch with my family. read more

Hard to judge this one as my packages are always ready to ship. However, there are at least three hard working staff in the store every time I have been there. The staff work's efficiently and the long lines move very fast. Also somehow they keep the store looking neat even with the amazing volume of package they handle. read more

This location is absolutely horrible. The help are the most unfriendly group I have ever experienced. If these people are that miserable and unhappy performing their jobs they should get new ones. Awful customer service. Tried returning a package to Amazon. Brought it in in the exact same box that it was shipped to me in. Box was even taped up and unopened. I can't stress this enough it was the actual box shipped to me from amazon. I offered to even remove the old shipping labels from box. This was a perfectly fine box to ship something in. Was told I had to ship that box in a seperate outer box and then was asked if I wanted to buy one of their over priced boxes. No thanks!!!! Been returning Amazon stuff on rare occasions over the years and never heard of this. Will be looking for other shipping options. Update: This issue was annoying me so I called Amazon and asked for their input. They informed me that this store should have accepted my package as "customer packed" based on my scenerio above since it was in the exact same perfectly fine unopened box it was shipped to me in. The customer service and experiences I have had at this store are absolutely terrible. I recently was quoted one price for a service and was charged double that amount a few minutes later. I spoke with Shelly, the owner about the issue and she was not interested in resolving the issue and keeping my business. Go to pak mail or fed ex for your shipping needs. I am sure she kills them with kindness but to people she isn't obligated to be nice to she is rude. My recent first visit to this location was pleasant and stress free, (unlike the UPS Store in Coldwater MI). The lady was very helpful and friendly, and provided excellent service. Services: Computer/internet access. Printing. Mailing. The gal on the phone was knowledgable in confirming that the services I needed were available at this location. 5 stars for her, even though I don't recall her name. Accessing the location was easy, contrary to reviews I read. Issue (Staffing): Only 2 employees on-staff when I arrived, which turned out to be too few, as one of them informed me she had only just clocked-in and had only been employed there about a week, and they had a max of 5 customers in-store by the time I left. She was not aware of how to begin using the one computer terminal they had, so I figured it out on my own, having used similar set-ups in the past. The pop-up blocker made it difficult to print something I needed from my email, and so in the end I had to have her refund me 11 cents for the incorrect printing, which is just foolish for both the customers and the staff. I could have forgone that print entirely and just written down what I needed when I was at home. Lesson learned. She also had to be talked through how to mail what I did print successfully (envelope type, service-type via P.O.S.), which puts Kendall (the other gal on-staff) in an amazing light, as she was basically holding down the location by herself. The fact that she never assisted me but I heard her name often enough while the less-experienced employee asked for her help, speaks to that. 5 stars for Kendall. Conclusion: Generally, I don't have a problem with my experience, but I've definitely visited more streamlined operations. It is definitely not a business-center-level operation, but the staffing situation could have resulted in a bad taste for anyone less reasonable or tech-savvy than myself. The less-experienced employee wasn't equipped to hold down the front while Kendall was on the phone and assisting other customers and, as such, she did not have the confidence to offer good customer service, and that lesson falls to management. If I ever require their services again, I will go back, but that doesn't warrant an exemplary review for a less-than-well run operation under the name of UPS Store, franchise or not. They seem to want the benefit of being able to use the UPS name and logo but they will do nothing to help you resolve issues with UPS. Employees are rude and have no regard for the customer and the money they spend there. I used to use this particular branch regularly to ship items for my business but I can say with 100% certainty that I will NOT be returning and I will be make sure that everyone in my personal circle knows not to use that branch. I frequently won't be using this UPS Store any longer. I have frequently mailed packages to friends and family from this location. When a package has not been received, there still has not been a resolution. The management has had almost a month to find out where the package is and has not completed this task. The worst customer skills I've ever seen! I wanted to send an overnight envelope, like I do every Monday. I had run out of the red overnight labels, so I stopped in here to get one. The lady behind the counter told me, with an attitude, UPS hasn't used those labels for years! She became visibly agitated when I asked if she knew the address to the nearest UPS hub. Called Saturday afternoon to confirm they had notary service (yes) and that they were open till 3 pm (yes). The lady stopped me from hanging up and said they were open till 3:00 but the notary was scheduled to leave at 2:30. I told her there was no way could get there in time but had to have notary today. I was coming from Decatur and lucky to get there by 3:00. She said she would stay for us. We made it in the door at 2:58pm and got our documents notarized. An older woman with glasses, and an old hairstyle (sorry I didn't get her name) was so incredibility rude as she told me that I had to go to the UPS hub location. I didn't understand her explanation, as she said it quickly, unkindly and rudely. I asked, "so I can't mail it here at all, even if I pay cash?" and she answered as rude as she could, " No." turned her back on me, and walked away. They have difficulty delivering to apartments and don't do anything customer service-wise to remedy this disconnect in their ability to provide services for Amazon and other online retailers. Do not go to this UPS location! I couldn't believe that they charge per minute to use the computer. I travel all over IN, KY, OH, and IL for work and frequent various UPS locations and have never seen this. I got a receipt for $1.50 for using the computer but my credit card was charged $10.99. I also paid $33 for one box and some bubble wrap to ship 4 items. Whoever owns this location needs to reevaluate their pricing structure because I can assure you that this is not how other UPS locations do business. I get up to Fort Wayne monthly and will go out of my way to not use this location again. read more

At this UPS Store, the customer comes last. They do not own up to mistakes and are just worried about making their money. I talked to a clerk, the manager, and the owner (Gene) and I was repeatedly told that we were wrong. Having been stationed overseas for 6 years now, my wife and I know the difference between USPS Priority and Parcel Post. We ask for Priority every time we ship something! Somehow they interpreted Priority to mean Parcel Post, that means the delivery time to the APO in Germany goes from 1 week, to 1-4 months. Their "fee" also upped our postage fees from $26 to $43. A $17 markup!!!!!!! Avoid this scam at all costs!!!! read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would! A few months back I applied for a job as a delivery driver. A week or so later I started getting emails from a Deandre Green telling me to finish my application for seasonal help. I tried calling the number he provided, but to no avail did I ever get an answer. I called ups directly but only got the run a round from people who's English was complete crap, the only thing they did do was confirm that Deandre Green was not an employee and had never heard of him. They didn't care someone stole my information and was now impersonating an employee. All they said was they would look into it, and I should send a complaint in writing. Seriously??? They are completely worthless at customer service. One woman even said that there is no known number for the fraud dept. I'm beyond upset with them and their UNCARING employees. Because of them I had to file a police report and put alerts on my credit. Its so sad that NO ONE there cares. What's a crappy business when they let whomever steal identities in their name. I ordered a cell phone from Verizon and UPS was to deliver it. I tracked the package the entire time. Fort Wayne UPS received it and it sat there for 2 days. The day it was to be delivered(tracking said it was on the truck) I took off work to be sure I was home to receive it since I knew I had to sign for it. They never attempted to delivered it. I was very vigilant watching for the truck and have a doorbell. Their tracking note said there was no answer and the said they would attempt again. They never "attempted" again and shipped it back to Verizon that same day!! Verizon then charged me restocking fees and shipping fees. I called Fort Wayne UPS(the same day the "attempt" was made) and the customer service lady was VERY rude and made it clear she could care less. Said it was too late they sent it back. Nothing she could do. I also order from Amazon prime very often and all my packages sit there at least 2 additional days(there's one right now that's been there 3 days). There is ALWAYS a "sorry your package has been delayed" message from Amazon. I wish Amazon would use USPS. They are so much more dependable and definitely not rude. I wouldn't recommend the Fort Wayne UPS for anything. I don't know if all UPS is like this, but the Fort Wayne one is HORRIBLE!! read more
