I brought my nearly new Stetson hat to Peerless Cleaners for cleaning, and unfortunately, they…read morecaused it to shrink significantly, making it unwearable. I've always held Peerless Cleaners in high esteem, so this was especially disappointing. While I acknowledge that I didn't return it within their 90-day policy window, the damage should never have occurred in the first place. For anyone with valuable hats or other articles of clothing that you want to keep in pristine condition, I might suggest that you don't use Peerless Cleaners. Very disappointed and unlikely to return. I will probably replace the Stetson and will need a reliable establishment to clean and block the new hat.

I've been a long-time customer of Peerless, but my most recent experience was extremely…read moredisappointing. I brought in a pair of expensive Tommy Bahama logoed pants that I wear only once a year. The clerk openly admitted the pants were damaged by Peerless during cleaning -- the pant blower locked the waist, inflated the pants, and blew out the zipper. Despite acknowledging exactly how the Peerless damage happened, Peerless refused to take responsibility. I was told it had been "too long" since the cleaning, even though I returned with the pants still in their plastic bag along with the original paperwork. Instead, I was sent to a tailor and had to pay $25 out of pocket to repair the damage myself. What makes this worse is that the tailor told me they regularly receive business fixing items damaged by Peerless. That says a lot. I've generally been satisfied with their services in the past, but this lack of accountability and customer care is unacceptable. If Peerless wants to keep loyal customers, they need to take ownership when mistakes happen instead of passing the cost and frustration onto their customers.
