This UPS location is located in the heart of the Beaverdale neighborhood making it a convenient location for a number of services: * UPS pick up/drop off * Printing * Packing materials * Printing Service has always been friendly, though process/procedure has sometimes gotten in the way of a great customer experience. Things to know: * Store front parking is limited to 20 minutes * The partnership with Amazon, and maybe other services) isn't rock solid. Amazon telling us that no label printing is required and having UPS contradict this and charge for printing in some instances. * The shared parking lot can be tricky to get out of. An option is to use the exit behind the hardware store to avoid street traffic on Beaver Avenue. read more

UPS Between Nov 17 and 19 (I'm not sure which of those three days) I sent a package from the Beaverdale, IA UPS store to my sister in Pennsylvania. The store was kind enough to package the items but after I left as they were busy. My sister texted me on Nov 21 that she received the package. At that point I had no concerns so I ditched the receipt. Yesterday Christmas 2025 I was talking to my sister and the present sent in Nov came up. What I had sent was a lighted display and a small bag containing multiple small (about 1") figurines of various items that were purchased in hospital gift shop. What she received was lighted display only. I can only guess that at some point before the packaging and sealing and sending that the small items were removed and reside in someone's house but not my sisters. BAD UPS. BAD! read more

It gets much worse! Now I just got charged $447 by Quantum Fiber for not returning the 3 WiFi units! I save the UPS receipt for several weeks & then trashed it. It was over a month ago that they were supposedly sent! UPS's customer service response was to the initial review was to call it "concerning" & give me a customer service email address. read more

It's conveniently located near my residence. It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working.  I've been  receiving my mail and packages at this store for close to 20 years.  Rick on the staff there has always looked after my needs and tried to help me with any Issues I might have. He would be might go to person if I had an issue, It's a small business and the owners are primarily at their Ankeny store, so they are not usually available.  Like most service oriented businesses they've gone through lots of staff, Rick has remained a constant.  Having said that all the staff I have dealt with have by-and-large have done there best to try and help me in any way that they can. They offer me what I need a place to receive and send packages from and hold my mail. read more

Wow, I'm all fired up because of hidden fees and just wow. Terrible. I called on the way there because last time I printed I was confused why printing like four pages would cost almost $6. It shouldn't be that big of a deal, but I called ahead to try to get an understanding of what was going on. The lady answers the phone, very clearly states that 17 cents per page, and I get off the phone thinking, cool, I've got a cool $1, maybe $2 to pay. It's the same lady there at the desk, and after I'm really surprised when she says it's $9 or something, she discloses there's some sort of a extra service fee or something? Gross. Really gross, and then when I tell her and ask her why she didn't tell me about that as I was driving there, she puts it on me! She tries to shift blame to me and say oh you've been here before you should know about the feast. I specifically called so that I could understand how much I was going to be paying! Really really bad, really terribly bad. Is it really worth making your extra 6 bucks there? If this store is death spiraling I'm not surprised. This is one of the most frustrating minor experiences of the last month! read more

all the employees should be fired I started calling 9am to 3pm just to get update of my package and no one has been answering the phone

I have been dealing with this location since September 30th, 2021. I came into the store to have my late Mother's items whom passed away September 19th, 2021. Shipped back to me in Las Vegas, NV. Been dealing with a rep by the name of Rick and have spoke with others there. Due to the fact that my mothers belongs upon transit were in a fire. The store rep Rick did file a claim on my behalf. Going back & forth with the rep & the ups claims department. Some of the matter was settled. Currently I have been waiting on my final reimbursement from this store. Understanding that this store is individually owned. NOT ONCE HAVE THE OWNERS REACHED OUT TO ME. I have asked to speak to them repeatedly. I have asked for their number. I have asked for them to call me so I can receive my refund. This was not just any items. This was my passing Mothers items. That you would think that as business owners they would personally reach out and handle/solve the issue asap. It's January 13th, 2022. I am still getting the run around on where my check is or when it will be to me. When it could of been sent overnight from this UPS itself. I am HIGHLY disappointed on the lack of customer service & care that the owners have taken regarding this matter. They are fully aware of the issue. Yet refuse to handle things personally. They do come in and work at the store. So being personable with their customers they are very familiar with doing. Out of any location in any state that I have used UPS. This store and their owners by far. Lack in customer service, support & care. HIGHLY recommend if you need to have something mailed. Please go to a different location. read more

I've had mostly good experiences here, only one memorable bad one. It seems I'm here weekly these days, and one of the staff members has recognized my car and gets my pickup ready if he notices me pull into the parking lot. A nice touch! read more

Do NOT trust these people to ship electronics. The UPS website claims to guarantee the costs of packing, shipping & damage to electronics if you take them to a UPS store for packing & shipping. My son was moving to California & we thought it would be best to use UPS to ship his computer. So we took a perfectly functioning computer in to the Beaverdale UPS store, paid them $270 to pack and ship the computer. When it arrived in California, the computer tower had only been packed in one layer of bubble wrap. The computer was broken beyond repair. The Beaverdale UPS store says the damage isn't covered by the guarantee because the damage is inside the computer (what the everliving f*ck do they think IS covered, then?) UPS corporate is telling us that this is not their problem because the Beaverdale store is independently owned. Dishonest, deceitful and absolutely pointless. Do yourself a favor and just go to the post office. read more

Poor customer service. They charge for Amazon Returns label printing which is free at other UPS stores. They ask you to forward your return item email from Amazon to them for printing the label. Shady thing! I'll avoid this going forward. read more

I have nothing good to say about this store except they were open on Saturday afternoon I needed to mail a package to my son. They did not want to use my address label, instead using the one from their computer. I needed to get the package there quickly and have NEVER had any issues with sending things thru the US mail - this package was UNDELIVERED as addressed. (a per the tracking number). The guy at the store said "I told you not to use USPS" (he did not such thing) He also told me I needed to go to the post office to have the package tracked there.. I am still waiting for the package to be returned as this had my sons glasses and some clothing. I will NEVER go to this location again! The counter man was so unprofessional. He was NOT helpful once I learned the package was not delivered - washing his hands of the entire transaction. Now I am out the $25.00 it cost to ship, the time to find the package and the cost I will have to FED EX it overnight to my son once it is located and returned! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE TO SHIP ANYTHING!!! read more

Make sure you seal your package before getting there. Since I've always thought that places wanted to check and see what you are mailing, I never seal a package before I ship it. Unfortunately, this location charges for the tape it takes to seal even a small package shut. This is poor service in my opinion and is a dirty way to make an extra dollar. Never going back. read more

Went into the UPS store needing to ship a package to India- this is very expensive. The guys at this store were so great by telling me competitors prices versus theirs right away since they knew that it was not going to be cheap. They had the correct forms for me to fill out and even stored my package overnight for free while I contacted my recipient for their phone number (something required for this transaction to occur). They took the time to explain why it was insanely expensive, but also told me the advantages of shipping with them versus USPS before I blew my money. They also made sure I didn't get screwed over on India's customs process by giving me tips while filling out the form. Overall they made it quick and easy, explained and answered all of my questions and were super friendly the whole time. 5/5 stars will definitely be using to ship the rest of my Christmas presents this year, instead of USPS. read more
