Much to my surprise I was in need of a UPS store & i found it nestled in a very small store front across from a donut place. The staff are courteous, helpful, and service with a smile. They can help you at the counter or you can use the self kiosk in the lobby, they only have one, but it's a small space. This store can get busy at times to form a line & also a line for the kiosk. Lazy and unprofessional staff. Amanda refused to take my Amazon return with free return label. Said I had to pay for a $48 shipping fee to mail one item back & $18 for the other; even though the item was new and in original box as per drop-off instructions. Gave me wrong information that I had to have the original box AND the Amazon box. She kept counting the time to get off work, ("we close in 7 minutes"). Amanda said she just wanted to go home & refused to help me further. Very nasty attitude, extremely rude, unmotivated and just plain lazy left a very bad impression. And to top it off, she was dishonest on what was required to do an amazon return & trying to upsell packaging. Took the same exact items to Sedona UPS, they scanned the label and accepted the return. The whole transaction took 2 minutes in Sedona and service with a smile. In UPS Cottonwood got nothing accomplished in the 15 minutes there and had to be dumped on by Amanda's misery and rush to be off shift. The smug young male colleague inserting himself didn't help the situation. The only person trying to assist was unable to because controlling Amanda was circling around us, hovering, and interrupting. Cherry on top for bad service, Amanda yelling profanities towards me when she locked up the store. She needs to GO! Will not be using this location for my mail services or business needs. read more

Amanda and Addy.. the power couple from hell. Amanda is a detective and has an eidetic memory so acts as court stenographer when you enter the store. Addy is just clueless and incompetent with a big side of LAZY. ANYTHING YOU SAY CAN AND WILL BE USED AGAINST YOU. The story unfolds: No CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE and they ignore me when I come in. They are complaining about answering customer phone calls and only look up when i stare at them for awhile and enter the store a second time with my last package. Nothing said to me at first besides Addy tells me I should just leave my packages there and they'll take care of it. I said I'd rather at least see them scanned (since they look like they're on a long lunch). Addy wasn't happy about touching boxes or stopping her conversation with Amanda so she tried to scan them in a tower that I had placed them in since they made no indication where they should go when I entered the store. She started a vague scanning procedure that was... terrible and obviously wasn't going to work. When I suggested that moving scanned packages to a different area than unscanned ones might work better she was not happy with my suggestion and told me that since Amanda had helped (HELPED??!) everything was fine. She missed 2 out of 6 packages using this technique. She blew me off when I pointed this out. 66% is good right? Not. I had to count to add up 3 receipts to make sure her incompetence and laziness wasn't going to cost me. Then my hero detective and court stenographer Amanda wanders over and tries to find something wrong with my packages. With a smirk and a crappy attitude she decides that one package that is completely devoid of labeling is a "manufacturers" package and they won't take it. The box was just one i found laying around. It weighed about the same as an envelope and was in pristine condition. She SUSPECTS me and then grills me on where I got the box. When I mentioned the package was shipped to me she tells me to show her the old label on the box and with a big smirk on her face and a smile so wide I can see teeth. She then was very happy to tell me they wouldn't help me and kept repeating it. "You SAID it was shipped but it wasn't. I JUST KNOW, besides... You SAID it. IF it was shipped there would be a label!" She literally repeated that in my face very happily about 5 times. She is on a power trip and needs a major attitude adjustment. They were both very happy I was frustrated and couldn't complete my transaction. I had to drive home and put the package in another larger package and drive back. Amanda didn't remember me after that long fun interaction we had just a few minutes earlier. I suspect she acts like this all the time. Amanda seems to genuinely enjoy making peoples lives more difficult and lording the tiny amount of power she can over the customers. I hope they get fired. The little guy that works there is awesome and gives me fist-bumps. Amanda and Addy need to be re-trained on customer service and basic use of the equipment and procedures. Karma is a B-word. read more

They have always been eager to make things smoother & I've been going to them for many years. Never have I experienced an un welcomed attitude. Sometimes I bring donuts for them to help make their day a little happier - disgruntled customers & the often fast paced work - it helps. read more

This store is always busy but staffed accordingly. Glad they offer notary services, which is much more convenient than trying to schedule services at your bank or other notary service. They have all the supplies you need at a great price and always willing to assist in packing and getting things straight. I ship everything from this local store. Have been coming to this UPS store for a year since relocating from Tempe. Unfortunately as a small business owner living in a small area there are not many options. I don't like writing reviews like this as I know how they can impact small business owners. The staff (with the exception of the dark haired woman) are not friendly. I leave feeling unwelcome in the store and that they could care less about how customers feel. This is not isolated as I've seen them consistently treat other customers the same way. They seem to be put out by customers making Amazon returns. I get it, but when returning your either paying a $1 for them to tape your single box or you'll be buying tape to do it yourself. All with a received eye roll. After todays trip, I will be going out of my way to go to the UPS store in Sedona. Hope the business owner is paying attention. read more

The female manager and notary is very rude and disrespectful. I simply needed a notary verification of my signature on documents prepared by my Attorney in Houston. Her attitude was immature. Her demeanor was childish; when I refused to engage in public argument with her she resorted to name calling. She ended calling me ugly and old and attempting to get other customers to join her tirade as she yelled at me to leave. I was leaving as quickly as possible but she had tossed my change onto the counter instead of placing it into my hand. With shaking hands I was challenged by picking up the individual coins; so she poked fun at that as well. I am a USAF Veteran, 100% disabled with CPTSD. This crazy woman was having quite a moment at my expense. I will never patronize this business again. When I asked for the managers name and number she gave me his card and told me that she already knows that Lance will see things her way. I never made any complaint to Lance... not worth the energy. I'd avoid this location and take the beautiful ride to Sedona. Sorry Lance but this place is an epic fail... your Latina Manager/Notary is SNAFU. read more

As far as services go, it's a pretty standard UPS place. Packing, shipping, copiers, printing, etc. The reason I feel the need to put them on the Yelp map is due to the customer service here. I found myself in Cottonwood a lot over the past few years, helping my mom out with health issues, and eventually for her funeral. The folks at the UPS store in Cottonwood were very helpful along the way, whenever I needed to make a bunch of copies, fax tons of paperwork. When we had trouble formatting the programs for the funeral on the color printer, they even let us go in the back and use their computer to fix the file specifically for their systems. Definitely recommend this location to anyone in the area who needs their services. Over the top friendliness and help. read more

The owner is also the notary. My husband and I went in to fax something and to get something notarized. I used to be a notary by the way, so I know you need your ID, which we had. We both wore mask in and she asked us to remove our mask, which I dropped below my mouth and she stearnly in front of other customers told me to remove it! Then proceeded to say she needed to see the document. I told her at the top it states we are just verifying that we are the owners of our property which is what it stated. We paid her and left. Such a rude person. I've been in the store before and she is so rude to customers. I will go somewhere else from now on. I have lived here in Camp Verde for 25 years and she has no customer service skills at all. I think she has forgotten who pays her for her services. read more
