This place has everything you need for shipping something anywhere. The staff are pleasant and patient to customers that treat them decently. I recently returned a rather expensive motorcycle jacket. The woman at the counter packed it nicely and included the return paper as requested in the package. Packing was in a box but they really didn't have the plastic bag things like Amazon uses as an option. It was a leather jacket exchanged for size. Packing and checkout went smoothly and I was out in 20 minutes including the line ahead of me. read more

Just an FYI if you have UPS my choice and your package says it's ready for pick up, it's probably not. Came in an hour and a half after I got an email saying my package is ready for pick. Guy told me I have to come back in "a couple hours" because they "haven't processed the packages" so why am I getting an email that it's ready for pick up?!?! And gave no time frame, just a couple hours like I have nothing to do but wait for you to decide to give me my package. Insanity!!! Have your stuff shipped to a better run store. Overview: 2-stars. Running late to open the store is not a good way to start the day. The waiting line is now long and the attendant starts rushing things tempting fate to misplace packages, etc. Not good. I am extremely disappointed with UPS and feel completely scammed by their international delivery service. I paid for a Worldwide Express Saver expecting my 0.4 lbs mail to be delivered in 2 days, as promised. It actually arrived 5 days later. When I called customer service, they initially told me I could file a claim, but I needed to go to the store. At the store, I was told that despite paying for 2-day delivery, I didn't "avail the service guarantee." This was never explained to me at the time of purchase, and as a first-time user, I relied on their staff to clarify these details. Instead of apologizing, I was told it was "right there in front of me" and that I should have read it before signing. To make matters worse, the manager never called me back, and I had to follow up myself after 3 days of waiting. I was also told they couldn't do anything if the package was held at customs--but this wasn't the case. It was delayed at a local partner store in the destination country. For such an expensive service, I expected better communication, customer service, and reliability. This experience was incredibly frustrating, and I hope others don't have to go through the same ordeal. read more

I went to return unused shipping boxes and packing materials the same day I bought them only to be told "all sales were final" even though the receipt stated I could return items that weren't marked with a certain acronym (neither of the things I was returning had said marking). The "no refunds or exchanges" sign on the counter was hidden by the credit card reader. Had I known this was the policy ahead of time, I wouldn't have purchased so many overpriced boxes. You guys who live around this store have NO idea how good you have it. I live near downtown Silver Spring, and the owners of the UPS near Blair High School are straight up horrible. My parents live near this one, and it's absolutely amazing how different the experience is. It's just normal! The older gentleman who appears to be the owner often makes small talk but seems to understand people just want to go in and out- perfect mix of friendly and efficient. I saw him tape down the corner of a lady's package without being asked- may sound like normal good customer service but the Blair High UPS guy would a. Never do anything for the customer of his own Accord and b. make you buy an entire roll of tape if you needed even a 3 inch piece. I can't say enough how much the UPS over by Blair High School is a garbage business, and how different this place is. Count your blessings Columbia people, this place is a treasure! read more

poor customer service by Tiahara. Stood in line for more than 10 minutes with a guy that kept getting his card declined. once my turn I needed notary service and she refused. Not a location I will return to when I am not serviced based on location identifying they would do notary and drove 20 minutes from home to be turned away by Tiahara. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I was at the door at 5:59pm, and the doors were locked with 5 or 6 people inside. I get it, it was one minute before closing time. However, the doors were already locked and the hours posted say open until 6pm. I asked them to open the door and a young man behind the register looked to the other woman behind the register getting her attention, and she said through the glass, we are closed. I said, there are 5 or 6 people in the store that you are still serving and her response was, "so". Needless to say I will not come back to this ups store ever again. Hannah Yoon, who wrote a review on July 20, 2020 is a LIAR and has committed FRAUD at UPS. Ms. Yoon packed HER OWN BOX and then filed a FRAUDULENT claim to receive $100 from UPS. I walked in yesterday with my lady and was aggressively spoken to by a young brown-skinned gentleman. He asked how could he help me. I asked him about the mailboxes with the physical addresses. He showed me the prices with the 3-month-1-year prices. He peeled it off the wall and told me in an aggressive tone, "Make sure you give it back, " because it was the only one he had as if that was my problem. Then he disrespectfully, asked me "what I was going to do." "I told him to give me a second. " He then progressed to pressure me to make a decision in an aggressive and disrespectful tone. So, I proceeded to tell him that I wanted the 3-month option for the mailbox because I have a business and am new to the area. He then told me well I needed two ID's. I mentioned to him that was not requested of me previously and he responded, "Well that's what we require and if the manager didn't request that, I am because I can and I'm a little higher than the manager, I'm the owner's son." It seemed that he wanted to demonstrate his authority in the store without any cause. It didn't make any sense and my lady friend asked me,' What was wrong with that guy?" It seemed like he had an attitude with you from the moment you entered the door." I responded, "Yes I know and I don't know why?" I will note the tall thin African American girl and medium caucasian manager guy were stellar previously but this time the customer service stunk utterly. read more

If you go here be sure to park on the opposite side of CVS. Even though they have 2 doors they keep one closed for entry - a huge inconvenience. Store is cramped and way to small for the volume of packages they handle. Boxes are often left out on the floor crowding the service counter. Also the owner contact info on their business cards is incorrect. You will be better served at a number of nearby competitor franchise locations. read more

Best experience I have ever had at a UPS store. I had to do a variety of Amazon return transactions that each behaved a little differently. I also did not have my box sealed or labels printed. The managers saw that I was confused and helped me with all the things I needed to do without me even asking. The service at this location is absolutely terrific and friendly. Beware, horrible customer service, sold an item on ebay, they never scanned it blamed the Post office and told me I am taking it too personal. Lost the sale had to refund the desperately needed money, got a bad review because the buyer thought I was playing a game to steal his funds but I am taking it to personal. Called the US Post Office but they can't check on the package because its not scanned but I am taking it to personal. I thought I was doing good by shopping where I lived.. what a mistake, owner is to busy to speak now, no call backs, feels like I got caught out here.. don't want to visit because I don't want the conflict but now I have to make a claim but the package was never scanned or accepted by USPS so a claim on what, and still no call back.. smdh! even if the package eventually shows up I will never ever f*ck with this shop again! read more

I was a customer! I did not expect to get reamed out by the manager. I brought in a return from Amazon...prepaid shipping label. It was cardboard boxes. They were NOT delivered to me in a box. Amazon told me to just bring them "as is" to the UPS store for return shipping. The manager read me the riot act. He did not care what Amazon instructed me to do. "You need to bring returns back in the original package." the manager blared at me. I explained that there was no package...just a strap that had to be cut for me to see the order was wrong. I had over $200 in other shipping to do...and I stupidly did it here with the same manager. Last time. I will ship USPS or FedEx from now on. I will take Amazon returns elsewhere. This UPS store used to be my favorite. Every employee here is very efficient so even if there is a long line, you get helped very quickly. However, I recently sent a package out and was helped by a man I had not seen at that store before. He kept trying to make conversation about my life, which I felt uncomfortable with as it seemed unprofessional. Then, he packed my items into a box that seemed as if it was going to break and fall apart, and when I asked him if it would survive the shipping, he assured me that it was perfectly fine. Days later I received a call from this same man asking me what food I liked, saying that the UPS had a partnership with Restaurant.com and would pay for my meal. This sounded fishy, so I looked it up and there was no such offer. I blocked the number and got a text from a different number from the same man asking me to go to Pasta Blitz on that day at 7pm, saying that my meal would be covered. I can only assume he stole my contact information from the package that I had sent out, and when I went in person to the store to try and report it, the employees refused to believe me saying that man was an "upstanding employee" and "has a girlfriend." The man literally identified himself to me on the phone call as the man who had sent my package that day. Now I know that this place is unprofessional and lacks any regard for the privacy and safety of their customers. On top of that, weeks later my package ended up damaged because he had sent it out in an unstable box. read more

On June 11, 2019, I went to this UPS store to send a 12 pound painting from Columbia, Maryland to Milford, Ct. With packing and shipping, the price I was quoted came to a little over $100 dollars. I decided to go to the FedEx off Dobbin, and the exact same painting, shipped with the packing cost me $56 dollars. I don't think I need to elaborate! read more
