This store has been tremendous since the ownership changed a year or two ago. Always friendly, always helpful. They go out of their way to make sure you have what you need. They treat their employees well - last week around 5 there was only one gentleman working and it got backed up but he said his coworker had been there since very early in the morning and he sent her home, especially since she had covered extra shifts since their employee was out sick People that grumble only do so because they haven't clearly read what Amazon needs them to do for their return and they take it out on the UPS store employees. Yes, they do need a larger space but meanwhile, I am pleased to have a location close and helpful and kind employees UPS dictates the high price of sending packages through the store, not the store itself read more

A few years ago, when I was cleaning out my late parents' house, Ron, the previous manager, was really helpful during what was a weird time. I recently emptied their storage locker (well, technically, 'twas my storage locker, because, while it was their stuff, they were no longer using it). Most of the heavy stuff was donated, because after six years in storage, I realized I could buy furniture for far less than the cost of shipping, and that the most I got out of the storage locker rental was a lot of frequent flier miles, since that stuff just sat there like the last scene in "Raiders of the Lost Ark," while my credit card continued to be charged. There was some extremely special stuff that needed to be shipped back to CA: my dad's WWII USN Seabag, his 10th Grade Wood Project (a cedar chest; my wood project was a freaking birdhouse), my mother's Noritake dinner china, purchased for her in a PX in Thailand during the Vietnam War by her brother-in-law. and a number of family photos that were clearly cherished. Corey and Adrian treated me like gold. Everything was packed as if they were shipping their own stuff. The price was fair (hello more frequent flier miles), and best of all, got everything to my house in one piece. Even the china arrived intact...this will, earthquakes or other natural disasters nonwithstanding, someday become our daughter's, and this month, will be used for the first time in almost 10 years for our Thanksgiving dinner. My dad's seabag and his uniforms (which survived D-Day, the Philippine Liberation, Okinawa, and the A-Bomb at Bikini Atoll, survived inside the impeccably-packed cedar chest, which he built in 1939. The uniforms will go to the Amphibious Warfare Museum in Portland, OR. The cedar chest will live on in the Golden State (earthquakes or other natural disasters nonwithstanding), and hopefully be enjoyed by generations to come (earthquakes or other natural disasters nonwithstanding). I've worked in retail. I've worked in shipping and receiving. I ship adult beverages world-wide as part of my current job. Working at a place like the UPS Store the requires customer service skills of a highly-paid PR executive, computer skills, the ability to wield packing tape with the skill of a heart surgeon, and attention to detail. Tried to bring some Amazon packages to get returned. One of them had to be bagged to ship which it was and Amazon included in their instructions that UPS would print the label for me, well they refused told me I had to buy a UPS bag and the label to make my Amazon return. A customer before me I overheard him asking for something that is always free in other ups stores and instead of the employee giving customer service and being polite he was like fighting to have the last word with the customer. I've given this place many chances because it's convenient for me and it's in Canton, I'd rather go to the one near my work becusse they are clean and very polite! Very rude kid working. He charged me for a UPS envelope!!!! The ones that are free everywhere (the pre-printed 2-Day envelopes)!!!! When I said these are free everywhere, he said that his store had to pay for them ?!?! B.S. I asked to speak to his supervisor or to get the owners name, he refused and said HE was the owner. Impossible; no one could own and run a business with such disrespect for customers. They are incredibly rude. I walked in and they were chatting in the back. After yelling from the back, "I'll be right with you" continued their conversation while I stood and waited. Then when he saw the box I had needed a piece of tape, suggested that I needed to buy a roll of tape or spent $3 to have them put a single piece of tape on the box. Absolutely ridiculous. Fortunately, I had tape in my vehicle. I came back in and he was nowhere to be found but had left a receipt. If I hadn't been forced to an ups return by Amazon I would never have come here. As many people say, I wish I could give this zero stars. So here I am sitting in front of the UPS store at Cobb Corner. I drove up at 4:03 PM. Both the website and the chart on the door of the store says that they close at 4:30 PM. It is locked up tight and the lights are off. So is it open until 430, and there was an emergency? This is ridiculous. A full half hour before they are supposed to close. I went to a lot of trouble to get everything packed up to drop off, with plenty of time. At least put a sign on the door saying that you left early for some reason. Perhaps it's just because there wasn't a lot of customer traffic. You can't do that and run a responsible store. I'll be back on Monday because of the convenience factor, but I won't be happy about it. read more

If I could rate this location a 0 star, I would. It's 12:52 on 8/6/2019 and I just had the WORST customer service experience I've had in years. I make bracelets to fund different charity fundraisers I participate in. I've been shipping everything through the USPS and wanted to come to this store to ask prices for shipping. The woman, I never got her name, was the RUDEST person I've interacted with in years. I waited 5-10 minutes alone in the store until she came out from the back. I nicely explained I wanted to find out the prices of shipping my bracelets through UPS and she acted like I was sawing her arm off. She rudely cut me off and said "address?!" I said "mine?" She said "NO. Where you're shipping to". I fumbled to get the address from my phone and she acted extremely impatient. "What are you shipping?" I said.. my bracelets. She said "NO. ENVELOPE OR BOX?". "Whatever's cheaper..." "Go over there and get the envelope. I need to measure it." After she measured it, she said it would be $11. I said thank you for your help. She didn't respond, turned her back to me and went to the back room. I'm so shocked with how rude someone could be when I was asking for help. I wasn't rude and this wasn't a difficult task. I definitely do not recommend The UPS Store located in Canton MA (Store 5346) - a franchise. I would highly advise traveling the few extra miles and going to the main UPS Location off of University Ave in Westwood/Norwood to send all outgoing parcels. I needed to have a document overnighted from Mass to MD and I was guaranteed that it would arrive the next day on a Friday. Unfortunately, an enroute delay occurred and the document was not delivered until the following Monday. I contacted The UPS Store and was assured by the store employee that there would be no issue in obtaining a refund under their "Guarantee Service Program" Since the document missed the deadline for reaching its destination that Friday, the claim was rejected by the receiver and was returned to sender. I returned to the franchise a few days later to retrieve the document, and I was once again assured that the claimed would be filed and that there would be no issues. It would take a week to process, and the refund would come in the form of a check. I waited a week before calling to check on the status and I was then informed by the same store employee that the claim was denied since the refund department stated it was sent as "3 Day Select" and the document had arrived in the 3 Day Window. Later that day, I stopped by the store with documentation in hand to show it was sent as "over-night"; and even without looking at the documentation, I was told that I was out of luck; however, I could email the owner of the store and state my case - as of yet, I have had no response and it's been over a week. The receipt states "Overnight Air" The Shipping document states "Overnight Air" The code in the tracking number states "Overnight Air;" which was verified by UPS Directly. Since The UPS Store is a Franchise, UPS informed me that all my dealings with would have to be managed thru the franchise location. Nobody at The UPS Store has proven to me that it was actually sent "3 Day Select"; and unfortunately, I was not smart enough to get a photo of the envelope since I had believed the employee at the Store that everything was being taken care off. I would like to note that the document was sent on a Thursday and was supposed to arrive on Friday. What is strange is that there was an orange "Saturday Delivery" sticker on the envelope - which would have been needed if it was actually sent as "3 Day Select". read more

I've been a customer for years here. Now under new management. Had a package delivered here by DHL. They received the package and sent me the confirmation email. Went to pick up and the lost it. They said give it a few days. I went back and they repeatedly said give it a few days. Finally I told them enough you gave my package to someone or lost it. They said to call ups and complain. No help. Do it yourself attitude. Once my contract is up I'm changing locations. read more

I hate leaving reviews like this but I'm leaving it for good reason. if I can help one person I will have done by job. First, the staff is just rude. they act like that don't want to be an Amazon drop off location so from now on I will go elsewhere. my wife and I went to package and mail a large box. they wanted around $400 for the box and another $500 or so to ship it within the US. it was nothing worth $900. I think we shipped the same box for $130 using an online label service who does volume and passes on the savings to consumers. We also have a mail box. it's expensive. it would be nice if the gave discounts one in a while. sad place go to. staff is rude. read more

Preemptive response to owner, based on Google exchange: Not returning one of my 20+ calls does not fit a reasonable description of "diligent" by any standard. And yes, my signature was forged. I never saw the agreement that was "signed by me" prior to it being emailed to me by UPS HQ - and the signature on the form doesn't remotely resemble my actual signature. Who has more reason to be dishonest in this scenario? Also, this business has got to be one of the most poorly rated I've ever seen, both on Yelp or Google. Every single time I've gone to this location 90% of the employees that work there are incredibly rude and unprofessional. They talk to their customers like trash and I've experienced it myself almost every time I've been there. Ron the worker there at the counter helped me to print out a couple of tickets to yesterdays Red Sox game as my printer is disabled. What an ordeal for 4 pieces of paper!. I thought that I could email the link to the store and they would print it for a nominal fee. I would think a couple of bucks would be fair. However I was directed to a computer with the UPS logo on it. I was told I needed to access my email with this computer. He claims its not the stores computer but a third party vender. I was apprehensive to expose my email and password on a foreign computer but I was pinched for time as I wanted to get into Boston and the Kenmore area early enough to have some pregame pops. Long story short I swipe my card and we are both trying to figure this thing out. He wasn't really that well versed and it took several minutes. He failed to tell me that this was time based billing rather than a per piece of paper printed billing. My cost to print 4 pierces of paper was over $9! I flipped out and said I got ripped off in front of a nice couple that had just walked in. I see they have other bad reviews so I guess they just stink. Avoid this UPS store. The second time, I got the manager who told me he decided not to print my job because he decided to stop offering print services. Well, there's a young lady with funky colored hair who is very friendly as well but I didn't witness her handling a store full of people with a line out the door and the phone ringing away. Standing in the huge line, his stood alone, answering phone calls as if no one else was there. The lady of the phone was on speaker asking all kinds of questions anyone would have known if they looked up the procedure for Amazon returns. But he was polite, calm, and answered all her questions in a matter of fact manner. All the while he had two customers on each side of the counter - servicing them simultaneously. The thing about Yelp, you can't give zeroes for scores. Recently sent a package that was very expensive, and mistakenly, I didn't ask for a receipt of the scan of the package. Magically, the package being sent to Bose never got scanned and essentially disappeared. Of course, Bose couldn't give me a replacement because "...it never got scanned." Calling UPS corporate was just as bad, they couldn't help me because I wasn't the originator of the shipping label. This is sad, but this is a consistent theme I've heard about this store. I visited the store and was told the manager on site couldn't help me. I was told the same on the phone. If you really need your package to get to where it needs to be, don't go here. Read up on local message boards and groups, this is a very very consistent theme. read more

I checked the website to confirm their closing time of 6:30. I got there at 6:20 only to find that it was sealed up and lights off. I called the next day and asked what time they close and I was told between 6 and 6:30. I told her the time I got there and she told me she was counting money in the back room but clearly it was closed up tight and no one was there. I suggested that it is hard for some working people to get there before the stated 6:30 closing time on their website and if that is what they advertise then they need to stick to that. It's the closest one to me, It is conviently located in the Village Shops in Canton, MA. They are only open until 6:30PM, I wish they were open a little bit later. The clerk is helpful & she will help you chosse a box or envelope that will meet your needs. However, this location is always busy & messy. read more

I should have listened to the other reviews. Horrible is an understatement. Day 1 - try to pick up a package and store is closed early for no reason. Store doesn't respond to calls or emails on when they will reopen. Day 2 I try again. I have a package confirmation and the "manager" says she doesn't have it and refuses to look up the tracking number. Manager (supposed owner) verbally harassed me when I question who else I can speak to since I had an email saying it was delivered there. Then she actually threatened me!! I have already switched where we get packages delivered and will file a claim for my package. Next stop is a call to corporate. Would love to not use UPS at all. read more

I dropped off my business UPS pre-paid shipments about once a month at this location for five years. Today, this lady, at her 40s, whom I never seen before, informed me that I can NOT drop off my UPS shipments anymore at their store because the shipper (us) is using a business name to ship the packages. I told her this is a UPS shipment. She confirmed that I can not drop off a UPS shipment at a UPS store. How ridiculous!! I contacted the UPS customer service, who told me I should be allow to drop off my UPS shipments at any UPS store nearby. And the UPS customer service gave me a UPS store Corporate Headquarters phone number for me to file a complaint. I will call the corporate office and have them look at the awful reviews of this store online. I just had a VERY unpleasant experience here. I come to this particular UPS very often. The people who help me are always great. However today that was not the case. An employee by the name of Corey was absolutely horrible. He did not greet any customers and was very abrupt and rude. As I was at the end of the line with a snowboard he shouts "What are we doing with that? Are we shipping that out?" I calmly responded yes. And he then says "Just to let you know just for me to box that it's going to be $60". I again calmly responded okay. He rudely says "Just letting you know!" I couldn't believe that in a store full of customers that this employee decided to shout this out to me while I'm still in line and he was still currently helping another customer. When I finally got to the counter I asked Corey if it was normal protocol for him to ask customers what they plan on doing with an item in a UPS store before they even reach the counter and telling them what the price is. He then responded "Well it's going to be really expensive and just wanted to make sure you wanted to do it!" I was appalled. It felt like he was implying that perhaps I did not have the money to ship the item. Keep in mind other customers are watching this. After a few more rude exchanges he completes my transaction. I didn't look at the receipt until I got to my car and realized I was charged an extra $20.50 for "miscellaneous charges". So I went back in the store to ask Corey specifically what this was for and he said for the box and shipping and other shipping stuff. By then I was done with the terrible service I was receiving. I told him that I would be reporting him and speaking to a manager about my experience and he told me he did not care! But I mean we knew he didn't care about much based off of how he was treating customers. I also was unapologetic about mentioning how I was the only African American in the store that he questioned about the item they were shipping and discussing the costs out loud! He thought this was funny and said "Oh, now I'm a racist"? Of course he threw his hands up and said he didn't care and that he was done. I look forward to speaking with corporate this week. If Corey is working the front desk when you go into this UPS store good luck to you. But if you're African American make sure you have enough money to ship out your packages, but don't worry he will let you know how much it will run you while you're at the end of the line so you can determine if it's something you can afford or not. Never again will I use this location. I dropped off a BIG box to them as a return to Amazon. I taped the return bar code sheet of paper that Amazon sent me to the box and the blonde lady at the counter took it and said "You are all set". The very next day my delivery guy delivers the same BIG box back to me so again, I drag this BIG box back to the store and tell them what happened. The blonde lady is there again, but I deal with the guy in the store and he says its my fault because their machine reads the "first" label on the box, so basically, even though there was one correct label on my box, the machine read the wrong label. He said I'm supposed to remove the incorrect label - how am I to know that? Blonde lady who took the package from me should have either told me that at the drop off then or done that for me. Both of them need to take some responsibility and learn some customer service. read more
