This amazon return machine is still great and easy to use. When I recently visited, I had left a package in a different bag and the very nice employee packaged it for me, so nice. I also went a few months ago when the machine was broken, to my horror ha ha, and I actually had to stand in line to return my items. This is when I realized that there are parking spots behind the store (facing Publix), so you can carry in heavy packages or even wheel in something large because the sidewalk is right in front of parking and you can go straight into the store. Also useful if it's raining! Truthfully, at that time with the machine broken, I felt sorry for the employee who had to deal with a long line of people holding boxes, but he was super nice and upbeat and made people laugh. I went in to make an Amazon return. The young man jumped up to help as soon as I walked in. He was smiling, scanned my QR code and handed me the receipt. He reassured me that I did not need a box or label for my return. They take care of everything. It did not cost me anything so that was a good value. read more

Today I entered the ups store on gateway blvd in Boynton Beach, upon entering the store I was greeted by a young man named Jose, he stopped what he was doing and asked me what I needed today. Jose was very polite and smiled as he asked me. I wish we had more people like Jose that showed great customer service. The gateway is the location that I will be visiting from now on. UPS Store on Gateway Blvd, in my experience, has to be the worst in the state. They do not help even when asked, are rude, have a attitude problem, the customer is just an annoyance to them. Standard UPS shop. Everything looked neat and organized. The employees at the desk were friendly. I needed to have several papers faxed. UPS charges by the page. I had compared prices with FedEx and UPS had a better price. I was happy that they were very helpful and faxed my papers while I waited. Even giving allowances for the language barriers with the family, they are difficult to deal with on a good day, They are not solutions driven and actively create obstacles. Returning 2 items from Amazon... i would have never chosen ups ... but. It was my only option... And! I was worried when I tried dropped the GIFTs off at ups.... I didn't know I needed to arrive with the boxes to ship in.... So. I ran next door to beg a business for a box, actually I needed 2... and luckily they gave me 2. But then. The boxes were too big... and ups showed me by showing.... Yup! We will not help in anyway to make sure this gets back in the condition it should... nothing. I was lucky they taped the boxes... because they said they didn't have to. Like. WTF I will never ever ever use UPS ever again. For anything. Amazon forced it on this gift return (I usually use kohls). Thank gawd I got the refund for my $120 in gifts... someone bought me something they said I said I wanted... 2 years ago. Yes. An air purifier that I bought... 2 years ago. And now this return makes sense. Right. Now I can buy new filters for the air purifier I already bought ‍ Also! Note! I tried to drop it off once and they wanted to charge me $10+ to print shipping labels so I said I'd come back.... They didn't also tell me I needed boxes and you could clearly see... I did. This used to be a friendly place, but the new manager / owner is very very rude. He talks to people like they are beneath him. Every time I'm in there he's always scolding somebody so I drive the extra 10 minutes to go to Boynton Beach Blvd. where everybody's got a smile. Apparently this man does not like the public. This UPS store is the ABSOLUTE worst! Now they want you to use the kiosk there for Amazon returns I had a lot of returns and asked if I could do it at the counter cause it was easier and the gentleman said "it would be a while" I said "that's ok I just have a lot of items so it would be easier to sort them". The lady behind the counter had a clear annoyance with me and an attitude. I got my returns done and left. As of right now they haven't even processed my returns.... Unsure why!? Imagine being stingy with tape. Label and box ready to go...I got told I could tape it on my own time and come back... I had a prepaid label and never opened my package (an Amazon return). The box was a bit loose on arrival and I asked if it could get a little more tape on it. The owner is rude. He sent my package back because he said I needed to purchase a box. I've had my packages delivered to this location for almost 4 years. Had I known that I'll be more than happy to pay for a box, if that was a requirement, but it wasn't. This man proceeded to degrade me, talk to me like a child and would not let me finish my sentences. He said that he's never seen my face before even though his employees know me well and say hello and no I'm coming to pick up a package. This man who is a African-American male, does not like African-American females. That was very apparent today. His employees looked scared to even utter a word, and this is not a conducive environment for people to come in and like their jobs. He's a bully and quite honestly just a complete jerk. I hate coming in this place so much. It's my closest UPS so I have no choice. Today I went in with 2 identical small boxes that I needed to return to Amazon. The associate told me that only 1 label printed so I needed to put them both in one box. I didn't have one so I asked him if he could tape them together. He refused to do it then the other employee told me that they're "legally not allowed to tape two boxes together" but I could do it myself. The manager then refused to let me use his tape gun because he said he was only allowed to let people use one strip of tape but I could buy an entire roll for $7. He then went on to tell me how he would "go out of business" if he gave away free pieces of tape to everyone who came in. Fortunately there was a nice customer there who let me use his tape. Then they stood there and watched me struggle to tape the packages together didn't lift a finger to help. The manager then told me that I was wasting his time which is worth more than tape while I was trying to tape up the boxes and stopping other customers from being helped. I told him he didn't seem to think my time was worth much when he suggested I take the boxes back home to repack them. Vile horrible rude greedy stingy discourteous nasty man. Worst UPS store that I have ever been to, hands down. I have visited this store twice and both times it was the same 2 guys working. One guy is skinny with a beard and the other guy is heavy set with a beard. Both times I had to deal with the skinny guy, who is not very bright. This last time I say that I need to print a document and that I will email to the store email. The bigger guy speaks up that I have to print from the computer...umm...I've been sending docs to UPS stores to print for years. After I say this seems odd, he then says they are too busy to take print orders. At this time, I was the only one in the store. So I leave my boxed package on the counter and head to the computer and try to print my label and had issues. So then I get a business card, email the file to the store email and ask them to print it and argue that other stores do this service. When I come back, my package is gone. The larger guy says that I probably put it back in my car or took it. I insist that I didn't leave the store, but they are questioning me like I'm a thief. They then invite me to come behind the counter and I find the box after 10 minutes of digging. Skinny dude taped it up and put it in their outgoing. During this, someone I assume is the manager comes out and starts to help assist the line of customers that has grown but offers no apology or anything while I'm behind the counter digging through their shit. I've never been to this location before it was closest in proximity so I decided to stop by on my way to work. The store was very clean and I was greeted as soon as I entered, the employees were very friendly and helpful. I was assisted by Jordan at the front desk, I was on my way to work and was pressed for time. Jordan was able to get me in and out in an immensely timely manner all while having a great attitude and smile on his face. He is a great asset to the store, we exchanged some playful banter and he answered a few questions I had concerning my merchandise, he then handed me my tracking receipt and I was on my way. Long one but worth it! I only put 1 star because 0 stars was not an option! The other day, I went to this UPS for returning packages, printing and shipping a package. I found one lady and one guy. Because the guy who was supposed to help me was not being clear and was giving me only short answers, I had to ask 10 millions questions about their printing system which is different, (I couldn't send an email like I usually do at other UPS locations, I had to use their computer.) Minds you, during all this time I was polite (I would even say friendly) and was definitely not getting a smile back. When their super slow computer finally showed me the home page, the instructions on the screen were different from those on the credit card machine. So when I called him for help, he stood from a distance (not busy with any other customers) and kept saying to follow the instructions. When I finally got annoyed and said I was not getting any help, he said in these exact words: " I cannot help someone who doesn't know technology!!!" Shocked me replied: "Excuse me! Is that so???" He added: "Yes, that is the minimum requirement!" Even when I said: "Now you're insulting me AS A CUSTOMER" He said: "Ma'am, you are insulting yourself!!" No apology, nothing! No sign of regretting his words! He stood his grown until I left the store. I came right back to ask for a number to report him: I hear that he is the owner of this particular store! When I asked the guy at the closest UPS that I could find and went to, about complains from this store, he said: "on Gateway!!", smiled and shook his head, telling me that he gets this A LOT! I am sure that it is not the standard that UPS has for its clients! I will stay 3 hours on hold on a line if I have to, to report him to cooperate. And I have his name and card infos! I had an Amazon package to send back and they informed me I needed a new envelope to send so they charged me $2.50. I whipped out my card and they tell me that they can only take cards over $5. Nowhere does it say that but they informed me that I would need to either buy something or leave. I just left this store. Had several Amazon returns to ship back, and the employee working (Kayturah?) was not only lethargic, but it also seemed as if she felt she was going way out of her way to help me. When I said I had some returns to send, she rolled her eyes- already setting the stage for a wonderful experience lol. Then, out of all the returns there was 1 small pkg (8x8x2 in size) where she said I would need to "buy a package from them to ship it back". I said why? She then said in a monotone voice "we only provide 1 small piece of tape, and that will not be acceptable". Meanwhile another associate was taping the other 6 items being returned all securely, so not sure why this 1 item only qualified for 1 piece of tape. I calmly said why would I buy a pkg when I have the exact package it came in right here. I'll guess just take it to Khols to return. She seriously could have cared less. No I'm sorry, no thank you, no have a good day. The only other customer in this place was a woman who was loudly on the phone w UPS customer service bc she too had a complaint. I now can see why. There was a time in my life where I actually looked into buying this exact UPS franchise. If I owned the place, no way would I employ anyone like this. Absolutely HORRIBLE Customer Service! This is now the 2nd time I have an had an issue with the young kid that works there. He is rude & discourteous. Aside from his nasty & unkind attitude, I asked very nicely if I could leave a long stick in the EMPTY store while I went outside to call Amazon to fix the problem with my return labels. His response very haughty "I would prefer not". Aside from the fact I had back surgery recently, that's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard & not only horrible customer service but NOT customer service. ( I had already went to three different places just to return the equipment ) he was really quick to get a printing label just need an account number for the tv company. Went to this store at the request of Amazon to process a return. They printed the return label for me. Then they told me that the package that amazon sent it in would come open during shipment and they wouldn't be able to send it for me. Conveniently, they had an envelope FOR SALE that would be perfect. The envelope was made of flimsy paper while the amazon envelope was of plastic reinforced with bubble wrap. They are completely over priced, practically stealers in there. Attempted to return a package at this location which didnt weight more than two pounds, was charged 34.35 for standard ground shipping. Refused to pay that much, went to a different location and was only charged 7.35 for the exact package. These workers are attempting to profit for themselves and pocket peoples money! This was not my first visit to this store. I have never had a problem before. I walked in with two very heavy boxes on a cart. One of the female clerks rushed to open door for me, (very nice thank you) I inquired about purchasing additional insurance for both packages. The Male employee was very rude and stated since I had pre-printed labels already on the boxes, the only way I could do this was to WRITE on the boxes the value I wanted to insure the packages for!!! Really?? So if someone along the line did want to steal a box they could pick mine with the value written on the cardboard? He was extremely rude and had NO Customer Service skills at all. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Last year I called and asked if this location accepts USPS drop off packages if they are already posted. The very pleasant man told me yes, absolutely that is a service they provide. I have been dropping off my packages at this location for almost a year now. I am always very pleasant to the staff. I think this Nilesh Parikh must be a new owner because I've only seen him there for the past few months. I am still trying to wrap my head around how rude this man was to me. I asked if they charge an up charge for books of stamps. I've bought them there before and I thought that was the case but I couldn't remember for sure. He said yes. I said okay I'll pass for today. (I don't have an issue with the up charge. I understand they have to make a living too. I just didn't need stamps that urgently that day). I was so shocked at his rudeness I can't even provide you with what he said verbatim - but it was along the lines of "You expect me to take your packages but you're not going to buy from me? It goes both ways you know and I suggest you take your packages to the post office". I may not be their best customer. I buy a book of stamps from time to time, never with this Nilesh Parikh, but I have with other staff members and I remember shipping a large package to a friend last summer using UPS through them it was around $100. But that is not the point. I was not told that I am required to make purchases from them in order for them to take my packages. I hope this horrible guy will learn that you treat all customers with respect because even if they don't spend a lot themselves they refer other customers. I certainly will never go here again and I intend to let everyone I know to avoid this place so no one has to be treated as poorly as I was - for no apparent reason. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION. I went there to ship a package back to amazon, I put the package on the counter and the employee (Nilesh) asked me if i wanted to tape the package. I said yes and he pointed to the wall behind me and said the tape is on the wall. Now I could see if I had 5 massive moving box MAYBE that would have been appropriate. But my box was just a small amazon box. I asked the employee "I have to buy an entire overpriced roll of tape just for 2 strips?" He rudely and with a snotty attitude said we cant be giving our tape out to everyone. I said sir were talking about 2 pieces. He said ok but I ill have to charge you if you want me to tape it with our tape. I was visibly irritated and just told him to do it. Then he kept going on and on about "I have to charge you for tape because "WE MAKE NOTHING OFF OF THIS PACKAGE." I took my box back and said i will go elsewhere. He was so angry and upset that i did not feel comfortable with leaving my package there in fear of him sabotaging the valuable shipment. He started following me towards the door shouting at me to "STOP STOP" not in a nice way either. Shouting that he had already taped the box for me. So I took his tape off my box and gave it back to him. I said to him no wonder you guys have TERRIBLE reviews on here. You would think that they would do something different but they just continue doing the same thing that everyone has written a bad review about. They helped me carry a heavy box full of heirloom china from my car into the store, carefully unpacked the china, made sure the shipping information was correct and meticulously packed the china so it wouldn't get damage on the way to Pennsylvania. The china arrived in Pennsylvania without any damage. I will definitely use this store again if I need anything packed and shipped. read more
