I would leave a negative one if I could.. working in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, I would expect at least to drop off a UPS package that you would be greeted cordially. I've been to this UPS many times and rarely do I leave negative reviews. I went this morning to open up PO Box . After standing there for several minutes, it looked kind of busy.. I stood there patiently and waited as the line started to grow with four or five people after me.. I casually ask the girl that was running in the back, hello are you available? She turned around glared at me and shouted in my face, NO IM NOT! . I literally was sitting there like wow, I have no idea how I deserve this as a customer to come in and all I did is ask if she was available I was patient and kind. After her rude behavior, I looked at her name tag and noticed that she was actually the manager of this location, which put me into utter shock . I stood there thinking how can I come in here every day to get my mail and have to see this horrible manager who is so rude and can't even treat her customers with kindness. After being told, it was $63 to have my PO Box , they added an additional charge of $20 registration fee one time fee. I looked at the girl who was helping me and thanked her for being professional and kind, but I told her that that $20 was not told to me and that I did not feel that I wanted to pay that. I stood there thinking this is the worst experience that I've had here the managers, horrible, and speaks terrible to people. I can only imagine how she treats her employees . I decided to not open my PO Box here nor will I ship any business here nor will I recommend this place . I always try to support small businesses, especially in my community. A good manager would have said hello good morning Miss I am busy right now but this agent right here will be right with you or I'm sorry Miss I'm busy right now, but I will be right with you. This UPS store must be desperate for management because as a manager myself, I would never ever speak to anybody in the manner of tone that she did to me. Over the years I've been to more UPS and other shipping locations than I can remember - however - I remember this UPS Store simply because it is, by far, the worst store experience I've ever had. I don't make this judgement based on one instance, but dozens as this location is the closest to my house. The other day was kind of the last straw for me: I've been shipping various items over the years from my online store - mostly prints in tubes. I've been very consistent in how these packages are labeled, usually with the label applied along the length of the tube - none of their customer service people have ever mentioned this being a problem. This particular day, I was rushing to get a print shipped as it was late to the customer (for reasons beyond my control). As I set the tube on the "ready to go" pile (as I almost always do), the woman behind the counter said, "Sir, I need you to reprint that label and apply it so that it wraps around the tube. It's hard for us to scan it like that." So, for years they've been able to scan the label - but now, they can't? My first thought was, "So, it's more convenient for me - the customer - to drive back to my place of business, remove the existing label, print a new one and apply it, drive back, navigate your horrific parking, and hand you the package so you can save 2 seconds in scanning it?" Are you serious? How about, "Thank you, Sir. Say, if it's not too much trouble for you, could you please, in the future, wrap the label around the tube? It makes scanning it so much faster and more accurate for us. Thank you." This isn't the only occurrence of something like this happening, but it's the latest - and it's the last time I'm going to use this location. The staff is consistently rude, slow, and barely communicative. The parking situation is a nightmare. Having met the owner, I understand where this animosity toward the customer comes from. I'm done - I would suggest that anyone in a similar situation drive a bit further North and go to the Centerville UPS location. read more

I'm rating this a one star because there is nothing lower. Every time I have been in this store throughout the years, the employee act like having customers is a pain. I can have my bar code ready, the item packed - it doesn't matter. I really hate listening to them bad mouth the customers that have just left. Today, I came in and had two Amazon returns. They didn't arrive together. I had no warning that they had to be in the same box. The lady at the counter wouldn't even scan my bar code. She didn't offer any solutions like buying a package that would fit both items (I would have been happy to pay for that) She just told me that she couldn't do it and sent me away. I used this UPS for notary services and was so disappointed in their lack of professionalism. I made an appointment several days ahead and called to see if they would have a couple of extra people there to serve as witnesses - so far, so good. However, when we got there, the 'notary' was distracted, talking to someone on the phone as they were filling out our paperwork, and missed a witness signature and a printed name on the document (we brought it to her attention and all was completed). If you are an organized person who plans ahead, makes an appointment, and are concerned about dotting i's and crossing t's, don't go here. Notaries are people who swear that the people who appear before them are the actual people represented in the documents they sign. No one wants to go through the trouble of having a notary witness and sign, gather witnesses and the whole thing - but when we got to UPS, we were concerned that the Notary would miss a detail in the instructions and we'd have to do all of this all over again. Here's a tip for UPS - if you're waiting on a person IN PERSON, answer the phone, but tell the person calling that you will have to put them on a brief hold while you complete the transaction before you. DON'T haphazardly fill out a customer's important paperwork in a sloppy, distracted fashion, and miss important details that may make the whole interaction null and void. Customer service is still a thing and if UPS offers this service, they should provide it with professionalism. read more

I've been to this UPS store a couple of times since it is close to my house. I do not recommend it. They usually only have one or two employees working, and there are always up to five people waiting in line for service. The worst part is, their Wi-Fi does not work even though a lot of people show their UPS code on their phone. Additionally, there are only two weird parking spaces in front. It's a very awkward location, and in the future, I will drive a few miles north to the Centerville UPS location. It's much better. read more

I had to use UPS in order to send back $200 worth of products back to a company, via prepaid labeling. This was two weeks ago. I checked tracking last night and it was damaged, saying "pending to notify sender." That was again, as of two weeks ago. No one ever notified me. The company I sent the products to never received it, of course. I had to create a profile to file a claim, and then it said it couldn't do it. I finally came in this morning out of my way to resolve it; every time I go there they make people wait in line while packing a few boxes and never say anything. Anyway, they said they would cover it and reimburse me, but that they had to email me the forms, fill them out and bring them back?? Seriously?? She took down my email and then never emailed me back. I called later and the guy couldn't help me and said I had to call back tomorrow. Folks, they are not that busy. It's ridiculous. I've worked way harder jobs for years and kept on top of it. Not cool, covid or not. Additionally, side note, The fact amazon switched to these guys is beyond me. *UPDATE* Please, for the second time, I am MR. I walked into your store and spoke directly with you, and I am a full fledged male, but because I am light spoken, and as I had already corrected you, you continue to call me "Ms." I am truly disgusted. Additionally, I never received that email, so I called your store in the evening. First, the guy said "we don't have jurisdiction over that, for the manager isn't here; please call back in the morning." Seriously? I spoke to three more people, explaining my story each time instead of them talking to each other, one of which of whom had tried to get a hold of the manager and she completely ignored her phone, while the fourth guy got onto the phone, asking what was going on; highly frustrated. He then said , a fourth time, they couldn't get a hold of the manager despite repeated attempts and that I had to call the corporate number. I spent the next THREE HOURS on the phone: I had to call EIGHT TIMES in between to get through the computer voices as well as being rerouted incorrectly; hung up on me twice , purposely, because they didn't want to bother with my frustration; requested forms twice, one of which a woman in the Philippines filled out two different forms for me and hung up on me after I asked to stay on the phone until I received the emails containing the forms, which I never got. After three hours of this, a representative finally explained there was nothing I could do, as the terms "sender" and "receiver" meant the original sender of the company, not I myself as the sender for sending my products back. He explained: The original sender is the sender of the company and they had to submit forms on their end, and there was nothing I could do but to contact them. Additionally, when I filled my complaint, the call back I received left a message indicating that UPS was not an individual store: I know that!! Whatever the rep had written in my complaint was irrelevant and her own words, plus the message never left a call back number.... though she said to call back.... CONCLUSION: after screaming at the reps by the second hour and into the third hour, had the manager sent me the email she promised, even if to explain the error, all of this would have been prevented. However, she decided it was unnecessary to me send me anything, as I waited at home ... Guaranteed, your lack of professionalism and insight has caused me to never do business with UPS again, ever. Utter humiliation and a nightmare. **UPDATE** UPS as a whole, as I found out from the cosmetic company that was due to receive my return, had never been notified of the damaged package from two weeks ago... It was some time ago that I went to send a package back to Amazon from this location. I dropped off the package and it was delivered back to me at my home again. I dropped it off back at UPS store again. And, again, shipped back to me at home. I was quite frustrated by this time. Back to UPS store again. And package back on my doorstep the next day again. I didn't know what was going on. I said so to the clerk at the store. She just looked at me and then pointed to the sign on the wall behind her. I said I didn't know why she was pointing at the sign, I needed to ship back to Amazon not deliver again to my house. She said she was not UPS. I said the sign she was pointing says she was. She said - what does it say. I said UPS. She finally said she was not UPS but the UPS Store - only a drop off point for UPS. I said to let them know not to ship this back to me but to Amazon. She said she had no control over UPS shipping. I said if UPS is on your wall then you have something to do with it. It was then that she offered to put the return shipping label over my name and address so it wouldn't get shipped back to me. All of that just to learn how to put a sticker on a box. Incredible. Mailboxes Etc. offers a great idea for a business or individual to have a street address for which to receive packages. I think this is their number one advantage. They also offer a variety of shipping optIons. What they don't offer is: I had a parcel to return which was delivered by UPS on Saturday. I no longer needed the item so I was refusing it. I went to"The UPS Store". She said we don't accept returns and the downtown UPS Customer Service is closed today. You might give it to a UPS driver if you see one. Let's read this sign again. "The UPS Store." So I drove all the way to Salt Lake to their competitor since "The UPS Store" isn't really UPS. And I refused a parcel at a third party UPS shipping establishment. "The UPS Store" should rename back to Mailboxes Etc. to maintain the expectation they are not full service and they are not UPS. I'm sure they are perfect at what Mailboxes Etc. was. read more

My relationship with the Bountiful UPS store began more 10 years ago when I met Bill Farnsworth. I had some unique business needs requiring me to periodically receive large crates to the store. Bill was more that happy to sit down with me and really get to know me and my business needs. He really helped me out. When I moved to California in 2009, I decided to maintain my UPS box in Bountiful. Since then, Bill has retired and Bonnie has stepped up as the manager here. Without exception, Bonnie and her team have been a delight to work with. They are always wiling to go the extra mile for me whenever I need it. It is truly remarkable that even though I have not met everyone in person at this point, I am always treated like a well respected business partner whenever I call in with an urgent need or just to periodically check my mail. I would not normally think to leave a review of a UPS it mail store. Truth be told we all would probably think of it as a mundane task but they always make it so fast and easy. It's usually this girl that always helps me. I guess I'm probably a annoying customer but I come in with an idea and a label and nothing to ship it in and she measures it and is like okay perfect we'll take care of it for you. Other places I've been I'll ask where a parcel I can send in my idea in and they just point and say those ones over here should work, but not at this location it makes sending ideas out a breeze. I've only had a couple of experiences here but both have been fairly positive overall. My most recent visit was to ship back some holiday returns and one late holiday gift that was not USPS eligible. The store is in an awkward location abutting a very busy street with limited parking. It is also safe to say it is a bit understaffed as I had to wait quite a while for attendants to finish helping other customers. This happened in both of my visits to this location. My four star review comes from friendly helpful customer service. During both of my visits the people behind the counter went over and above to help me make sure my parcels got to their destinations on time and in tact. During my recent visit, it was pointed out that the box I had used to package some items had a black diamond printed on it which indicates that the box contains potentially hazardous substances. This didn't even occur to me while I was packaging it. Instead of turning me away or forcing me to pay more for insurance, they graciously re-packed my box inside another charging me less for the box than I would pay for a new box anywhere else. My packages all arrived at their destinations sooner than anticipated. I will admit the cost for shipping was more than I was prepared to pay, but I blame UPS for that rather than the locally owned franchise. I think it is also important to note that UPS is different than USPS. USPS is your local post office. While USPS is often a much cheaper and more convenient alternative, UPS is more reliable and their parcel capabilities are more extensive. read more

I brought a huge box with individually wrapped presents to the store. The box was 27lbs after it was packed and I paid $70.91 to ship it but did not buy insurance for the value which I regret now. 3 weeks later the package did not arrive to it's destination, Indianapolis. I went to the UPS store and spoke to the manager who called UPS and she was told UPS did not pick it up from her store. Long story short, my package was stolen and nobody wants to reimburse me for my $600 in merchandise in the box plus the $70.01 shipping cost. UPS is blaming the UPS store and the UPS store is blaming UPS. Somebody at this store is responsible for my disappeared shipment. USPS is a ridiculous company. If you have to ship anything of value to anywhere, than you've either got to wrap it very in tight/ thick bubble wrap, put fragile tape on, and just anything you possibly can to make the item un-damagable.. I was using these guys to ship 10 Lb honey buckets. They told me, yeah, we ship items in buckets all the time. you don't need to put them in boxes, they are considered an odd shape item, so they get handled manually by people. So i figured ok, great, Maybe if they are getting handled by a human being instead of a conveyor, than they would have no chance to get damaged. Boy was I wrong.. I shipped 3 buckets out to different customers, and guess what? All of the buckets got damaged!!! So guess what? One of the customers agreed that it was alright, because it was just a small leak in the bucket from some retarded dude, man-handling the buckets and breaking them all. So than the other 2 customers asked if I could send them a new bucket of honey, and I said yeah I will go ahead and send you both a new bucket of honey, because shipping is pretty expensive for a 10 Lb item all the way across the US, so I figured that I didn't want to pay for return shipping of the damaged buckets and the new buckets, so I just sent the new buckets so that I would only have to pay for shipping one way for the new buckets. (Also, I was trying to keep positive reviews on Ebay).. so I talk to the guys at USPS, and ask them if they can put the buckets of honey in a box, bubble wrap them good, and put fragile tape on the outside? And they say we sure will!! So next, guess what!!!!? The new buckets get Reported as DAMAGED goods again!!! And I'm like, what the crap!! Why the heck can't a shipping company fricken ship something without it being damaged all the time!!? I mean who the heck runs a business like that??? The only reason I'm Puting 2 stars in the review, is because the manager put out the effort and tried to make it right with me by getting me to e-mail the customers that had gotten the damaged honey containers , to get their phone number so that USPS could call them and talk to them about the damaged merchandise, and see what happened, and to pay me back for my cost of the honey, not what the honey is worth, just my cost..but of coarse the damaged honey Container customers never responded back to me with their phone number, so I never got a reimbursement for my losses.. expensive lesson learned, don't ship expensive items with USPS, unless you put shipping insurance on your items before you ship them, because you can just sue USPS in small claims court.. you can only win in court if you have shipping insurance though.... also, if you are having the USPS store pack your items, than make sure that you are standing there watching them do it, because the person that helped me at the USPS store told me that they would pack it tight in bubble wrap, and put fragile tape on the box and whatever other fillers they needed to pack in with the honey bucket.guess what? When the honey got returned back to me, than it was reported that there wasn't any packing In with the honey. The people at the USPS store didn't pack my box with bubble wrap or fragile tape before they shipped my 10 Lb buckets of honey... so yeah, do all your own packing..don't rely on their word. read more

This is a privately owned franchise, so beware they charge a significant amount more for shipping than you will be quoted on the online price calculator! Pay for your shipping and print your label at UPS.com and just drop off at this location. I paid 50% more than my ups quote to send a package from this location, pretty scandalous. I feel like the labeling of this being a privately owned franchise should be marked on their signage, it comes across as an actual UPS owned store. read more
