I've had a string of Amazon returns lately for various reasons. This UPS Store location happens to be the most convenient. Aside from the convenience, the staff (really the one dude that has always taken my returns) is super friendly. He brings great energy to his customers. The experience is always efficient as well. Last year, I opened a mailbox at this UPS Store. This location is a very busy store and the lines were always long. There were boxes everywhere! The Store was also understaffed, which caused poor customer service. Hence New Management, Trey took over the Store it has been SUPERB SERVICE from him and his entire Staff. Everyone greets you when you enters, they are always extremely helpful. Trey goes over and beyond his duty as a Manager. Last week, I was in my car parked directly in front of the store on a conference call for about 10 minutes. Trey noticed my car and quickly went to my mailbox to retrieve my packages and brought them out to me. I have never experienced this type of customer service. I appreciate the small things but I greatly appreciate when a business is appreciative of their customers! Thank you UPS Store! read more

This is Georgia Tech's UPS Store, basically. It's located in the same shopping complex as Sublime Doughnuts at the corner of 10th St. and Hemphill. I came here on a Saturday to help a friend ship out a laptop that needed a defective keyboard to be replaced. This was an expensive laptop, so I left it in the employees' hands on how to best pack and ship it. I watched as the UPS store employee quickly and securely packaged the laptop inside thick layers of bubble wrap and then place it snug within an appropriately-sized UPS box. He then let us know the different shipping options available to us to get the laptop to the address specified. This UPS Store location is a "Pack and Ship Promise" location, which means if your item is damaged or lost in transit, UPS will reimburse you the value of the item (along with the packing and shipping costs of course). In order to qualify for this offer, your shipment must be packaged and shipped by them (e.g. you cannot have them package it and then send it via the U.S. Postal Service). The laptop arrived in Texas days later without a hitch. Good job, UPS. Other miscellaneous notes: Out of curiosity, I asked the employee who helped us if he was a Tech student and he was. What was once an amazing location is now in the sh!tter I have faithfully visited this location since moving To Midtown in 2017. Eddie and his crew were always so kind I feel awful because he's the only name that I know it was a younger gentleman that was a Georgia state student as well as a mid 20s to early 30s woman who were also employees. It's a shame that the owner of this location franchise ran them away. It makes zero effng sense that you are the only one who works there the line is as long as millennial student loans and that little old man is slow as molasses. The best times to come are during work hours unfortunately but for now on I will be going to the Howell Mill Village location because I can't take this anymore. Every time I visit there's at least 15 people in the store and ONE MAN!!! The owner!!!! P.s was it worth it frank? Reprimanding employees over petty shit like printer paper & ink? The only thing I would give a shit about is the feedback of the customers. Look at the reviews, you were nothing without them. You hold the keys and the highest capital but other than that what else? Love the service in this store, and I do get emails for all my packages, BUT I was a little upset the other day when I picked up a package that said perishable/fragile on the outside of it. I got the notification on a Thursday, but picked it up on a Monday. I felt like if the a box says PERISHABLE written on it and has strawberries on the outside let's exercise just a little common sense here guys-- call me! Matter of fact, call me daily until to remind me I have a perishable item in the store. My box was at the BOTTOM of a pile and smelled of some sort liquor or alcohol a bit. I opened the box to find strawberries and chocolate. The strawberries had of course drained of their juices and I guess sort of oxidized thus producing the alcohol type smell. This really bad action on their part really deserves a 1, but I will give them a 2.5 and round up to a 3 because they're very friendly there (atleast the younger guys are). UPS STORES-- if an item is marked perishable-- CALL and/or send an additional email stating that the item is perishable-- please! If this happens again, I'll totally have to take things to the next level. read more

Are they open on time? No. Like ever?! Yes. Two times in a row they weren't even open 30 mins after their opening time. Is there a loud fitness center next door. Yes. How annoying is the crappy music they play? Very. Is the staff nice. Actually, they are very polite and helpful. I generally walk into FedEx or UPS stores expecting to be glared at and/or stared at dimly when I ask a question, so suffice to say my customer service expectations are fairly low for shipping stores. That being said, this store really impressed me today. I came in trying to ship something with a CO2 tank in it. Rather than just say "oh we can't do that", they called two or three people to figure out the rules and when they determined they would not be able to ship it, they gave me precise instructions on how I could successfully send my package. Friendly and responsive service at a store like this is enough for me to say 5-stars, even though I ultimately could not ship everything I wanted. read more

They steal packages. They'll print you a receipt and tracking number but will not process your actually package. If they never process it, there's nothing. You can do about it. read more

Dear Dumbass, First of you must be self thinkers and use common since! Any self thinker knows not to sell a valuable item on EBay and not insure it for its value when shipping the item out. As for the "Pack and Ship promise" If a UPS Store packs your item it is covered for the value of your item if it is lost in transit or damage.... Correct, only if you PAY for the Additional Insurance to cover the value of the item. UPS standard insurance is $100.00 only; you must pay for any additional coverage. I have a mail box at this location and have had no problems with any of my mail, packages, or the employees. Yet I am a self thinker so I don't go into an establishment and expect the people there to think for me or use common sense I can do it myself you too should try it. This is a great location unless your a dumbass who miss read the papers they give you when shipping. read more

The absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I entered the store about two minutes after it opened (door was unlocked & customers were in the store). I was immediately told to "get out" and that they were closed. There was no option for my return and all I needed was to drop off, so I simply sat my box down on the counter and left. As I was leaving the employee screamed across the store that they were not going to ship my package and that if I left it they would throw it away. I returned to my place of work and immediately called the manager. All was well with my package, and he sincerely apologized, however I will absolutely never return to that store. read more

I've been here twice recently, both with bad experiences. The first time, I arrived right when the store was supposed to open for the morning and the clerk was 15 minutes late arriving to open the store (without even an apology). I gave it another try last week, and the clerk refused to weigh a letter and sell me stamps for airmail, saying that all she could do was send a 2 oz letter via UPS for $100, and when I made xerox copies, she was unable to read the copy count from the machine and made me manually count ~150 pages of copies so she could figure out what to charge me. Do not be fooled by the close proximity to Georgia Tech to think this place is convenient. You'll save time by driving to the post office or to another UPS store. read more

Shipping my Christmas to Florida I showed up with a huge bag of gifts 15 minutes before closing.. As usual, Eddie was more than welcoming, efficient, and I handed over my gifts for him to box and ship. The driver for this evening was willing to wait around for my box to go out tonight. Do not ship valuables. Documents are fine. I was misled about the insurance and a brand new phone that I shipped was stolen. The seal that I had placed was removed, phone, invoice inside the box were removed and the box was neatly resealed and shipped to the destination. They didn't respond well to my claim and couldn't resolve or give me a proper reason. UPS customer care couldn't help me out as well as they said this was a franchise and there is nothing that they could do. Will never ship with them again! read more
