Excellent service! Called originally for assistance with fixing up the basement and was surprised with the additional services that came with it to make sure that the issue would be fixed. Throughout the entire service there was no hidden fees or secret reasonings for an updated price. Things were discussed upfront, paperwork was shown to show a paper trail for pricing and work hours and I couldn't be more pleased. Not only did I get a basement that didn't flood with water, I received gutter cleaning and extension to ensure that it wouldn't happen again when other companies were trying to charge double the cost without fixing the outlying issue. Then no sooner than we had fixed that issue they came back with more assistance for jobs. Helping with replacing locks and adding a new door to help with heat retention. Now we have a lineup for some yard work and I couldn't be happier. If you need to find a Handyman that cares more about making sure you are happy with the result versus being charged an arm and a leg for the 'title' of a Namebrand company then Tim is who you want to call. read more

They were very good the first time I used this service to fix a tricky double front door. But, when I asked about doing another, far more complicated job, that's when they fell on their face. Tim kept delaying when he'd get me a quote. They hardly took any measurements at all initially. Which, considering the complexity of the work, was suspicious. Even after over a month, there was still no quote. I can no longer recommend this company in good faith. If they can't admit a job is out of their range of expertise, that, to me, is a large red flag. read more

On my most recent service request, the team came out and expertly applied gutters on my home. The entire job was started and completed while I was at work. I came home to a clean job site with fresh, new gutters. Also, I love the convenience of receiving a detailed invoice at the end of the job, which can be paid electronically. Terrible experience! I would never recommend them. The first day on the job my son caught the worker sleeping at the bottom of the stairs. We should have known right then and there they were no good. Tim made the excuse that his worker was having some family issues and didn't even remember that had happened, after first denying it until we sent him a photo. We deducted those 3 hours from his bill. We were charged a daily fee, and promised a full day of hard work from 9-5 with a short lunch break. We were told he only hired the best workers who were experienced, reliable and worked meticulously. That was definitely not the case. For what we paid for the 7 1/2 days they spent on the job, the entire job should have been completed, but was less than halfway done when we terminated them, and what they did complete was done poorly. We had someone else come in and look at completing the job and they were shocked when I told them what we had paid, for the work they did! I'm sick over the money we spent, and will have to now spend to hire someone else to come in and finish and redo their work. This is the first time I have ever written a poor review for anyone, but hopefully it will save someone the experience we went through! read more

I paid for a garage door opener to be installed through Lowe's, however, Lowe's subcontracted it to Angi + Lowe's, which was subcontracted again to Ultimate Handyman. The installer told me my garage door springs were bad and that I should call someone to look at them. I called a local garage door company who came out and told me that the guy did not know what he was talking about and that I should call if they broke. I had to pay an $80 service fee for this, and all because of the installer's clumsy recommendation. Then, a year and a half later the garage door opener arm ripped out of the metal on my garage door, damaging the top panel. Ultimate Handyman was not good about responding. Finally, I had to ask for their commercial general liability insurance carrier to get it taken care of, but I've not received a response. Will probably have to turn it into my insurance company and have them subrogate against Ultimate Handyman. Highly unprofessional company and shoddy workmanship. read more

Highly recommended!! We needed some painting, electrical, and plumbing work done. Tim runs the show and was professional, responsive, and accommodating. Arty did the work which was professionally done; the work was very clean, and he was very courteous, and he was a problem solver as some of the work was not straight forward! Absolute worst! Everything Mike S said below, happened to me as well. This guy should not be allowed to conduct business. He hires all the worst contractors I have ever seen. Stay away from TIM he has been changing his business name as well. Every single aspect of finishing this room was absolutely horrible. My 3 year old could cut better trim! They caulked the walls to the ceiling? And the outlet covers (which had paint all over them) to the walls! Who does that? None of the trim matched. Made an absolute mess. All the other tenants complained because they filled all their garbage bins with Sheetrock and insulation. Dragged this project on for months! All just to finish an 8x8 laundry room. read more

I called the Ultimate Handyman for an emergency situation in my tenant's apartment. They responded immediately. A ceiling in one of the rooms needed repair right away. Tim didn't hesitate to have someone come out and take care of the damage. The workers are professionals and worked around the tenants schedule as much as possible to complete the job. I will continue to call on them for all my property needs. They are a great company. I was very pleased with the outcome of the finished job. I was very impressed with how quickly the company responded to my needs. DO NOT USE!!!! they ignored everything i said i wanted. didn't use the materials i bought. they insisted that my floors didn't need to be leveled (obviously because it was more work) and they installed my floors without leveling. everytime i walk on them you can feel the divets. their customer service is trash. i really regret hiring them and absolutely hate how my floors came out. now i have to redo them and all that money wasted. read more

I'm a landlord and have been working with The Ultimate Handyman, Tim, for several years now. He has done outstanding work for me from the smallest jobs (like lawn care, snow removal, and minor leaks) to complex jobs (like roofing, basement flooding, and window replacement). Not once have I ever had a single problem with him, his workers, or the quality of the job. At rare times that I am not completely happy with results, Tim professionally and promptly continues the work until I am completely satisfied free of charge. Tim and his employees have always been a joy to work with and have always shown me only their upmost respect. Tim excels at communication. He is always willing to walk customers through job details when planning, provides flexible scheduling, keeps customers updated as tasks are completed, and has a positive and friendly attitude towards any job overall. I have even called him for a few emergencies (such as electrical, furnace repair, major pipe leakage, etc), and he came out asap to help without delay. Over the years, I've constantly recommend Tim and his team to others as a trusted business because the quality of their work as well as prices are too good not to share.
