In fact, the "leading brand" window company that I had previously conducted business with now "requires" two homeowners for a window quote. Really? What a demeaning tactic. Anyway, I made the right decision by hiring Window Depot. From start to finish, Manny communicated with me every step of the way and showed up at the exact time promised and handled the job efficiently with a smile on his face. During that time, I was told by their salesperson I could change the door style, and I have emails confirming this. Later, they refused to honor that agreement and only offered to cover 50% of the cost, leaving me to pay for installation. After weeks of back and forth, I had no choice but to file formal complaints with the BBB and the CT Department of Consumer Protection. Poor communication, poor follow-through, and a lack of accountability. I would not recommend them.

There are doors and windows that don't lock or open correctly, one door doesn't close. Clearly, the insulation was not properly or completely done as I can feel wind coming through the kitchen cabinets. There are walls that have increasing cracks! Shelves consisted of one thin piece of wood put across a closet leaving a lot of unused space. Wood from other jobs were used in my house as was told to me by the worker because I noticed that it looked like it had nicks & lumps in it. He had no electrician so it cost me more out of pocket even though insurance was covering it. There was no plumber that did most of the plumbing. The same guy that made shelves did my plumbing. Every day something new either breaks or is discovered as inferior by a person with more expertise than me. The new siding that I paid out of pocket was done so poorly that the flashing underneath shows quite a gap and now an issue with mice and other crawling things has become a problem because of the gap in the flashing. Be very cautious as the work is inferior quality, and the GM was never around to oversee or check any of the work. If I didn't call him, he did not show up.
