Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Benedict C.

My girlfriend and I had some time to kill before dinner so we decided to have some coffee at The Twisted Tulip. I ordered a Lavender Basil Latte which was the drink of the day while my girlfriend got an Americano. We got cinnamon walnut pound cake and chocolate chip banana bread too. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and our orders were made quickly. The space is actually pretty big, especially for a cafe. I like that they have outdoor seating too but it was pretty dark, wet, and dreary out on the day we came. The lavender basil latte was fantastic and so were the baked goods. In fact I think it was some of the best banana bread I've ever had. My girlfriend seemed pleased by her Americano. Prices are in-line with other cafes. If I were a local I'd stop by all the time.

Don't go getting your Two Lips Twisted over all this deliciousness, but no worries if you do cause they'll twist right back just in time for another round, lol. Seriously though I can't get enough of this awesome one-of-a kind business and everything about it: From their excellently prepared freshly brewed Coffees, to their house made Baked Treats and Pastries, to their SuperCool team of friendly employees, to their hipster casual vibe, to their Location, plus their perfect playlists grooving softly in the background, I mean the list could go on and on even without any exaggeration.   IYKYK and if you've already been here than you already know. But for those of you who haven't visited yet and find yourself in the area, Bookmark it and thank me later because when it comes to an incredible Coffee House experience this place is without question the Real Freakin Deal. Come And Get Your Munch On!!

The Twisted Tulip is a cafe you must visit should you find yourself in the Livingston area. The vibes are immaculate, with cozy places to sit and chat with friends or even get some schoolwork done. The staff are very welcoming and the coffee is delicious. 10/10 experience.

This month, my husband and I were on a mini-mission - hit up a new coffee spot once a week in the month of November. The Twisted Tulip was my favorite cafe - I like its sustainability ethos, the $5 honey cardamom latte I ordered, the artwork and seating spaces, and the overall chill vibe of the place. They also have husband-approved Americano, so I know I can order for us from here whenever. I've stopped in solo a few times since and have not been disappointed. The adjacent indoor seating area has a variety options - there's a board game area, high tables, a long communal table, etc. It's a good place to work on your laptop or read - not loud whenever I've been there.

Pumpkin Cold Brew and Cold Brew Coffee

Came with 3 ultra picky people, 2 of whom don't like coffeehouses. Everyone loved their orders. I got a pumpkin cold brew with oat milk, which is cold brew flavored with their house-made pumpkin syrup. The house-made pumpkin syrup tasted fresh and was a clean pumpkin flavor v. A pumpkin spice. The cold brew was smooth. I appreciated that the drink tasted of both coffee and pumpkin v. something insanely sweet. A friend got a cold brew with cream and the others got decaf coffee. For treats we had a blueberry muffin and the lemon poundcake. My friend faved about the blueberry muffin and mentioned repeatedly all the fresh blueberries that were in it. They warmed it which was a nice touch. They have a lovely outdoor seating area with umbrellas, which is where we sat b/c we brought our dog. They have free dog treats, WiFi that works very well and lots of parking. They're located in the shopping complex with Aldis and Paris Baguette.

Iced jasmine green tea

Really excellent drinks! I had an iced jasmine green tea. I didn't plan on eating, but the empanadas looked so good that I had to try the cheese ones. Everything came out quickly and the employees were very nice. Inside the shop has a counter plus a few small tables in the back. There's a small retail corner as well.

I finally had the chance to visit The Twisted Tulip on an early Saturday morning. While the shop itself has charm, the layout feels a bit cramped, and I think there are better ways to organize the entrance and line flow. Luckily, my SO and I didn't have to wait long to place our order, but with only two employees working, it wasn't ideal for a busy Saturday morning. The staff's service was somewhat indifferent--not a huge deal, but it did set the tone for the experience. We decided to sit outside and enjoy our coffee and treats rather than take them to go, but because of the limited staff, we had quite a wait. That said, the coffee was decent, and I really enjoyed my gluten-free oat cookie. I also noticed they offer coffee flights, which I'd be open to trying if I return.

What an amazing little coffee cafe in Livingston! It's right across from Starbucks but this is so much better! Ample seatings to hang out and work. Great friendly staff! WiFi works perfectly! There are board games and some childrens books for customer! I had a chai latte with soy milk but they don't have soy which was a little bit surprising. But the drink was good and I enjoyed it! Will def be back! Ohhhh they have feminine products in the bathroom for emergencies! That's such a nice little touch!

I see this place when we pass by. I have never stopped in until today. First I thought they only Sold tea. However, much to my surprise they have coffee too. There are other shops nearby that we had visited and it was time to compare. The mocha latte was very good. Tasty in all the right ways without over powering with the mocha. My husband had the chai tea and he said it was good too. My Son ordered the cheese empanada. Now that one did hurt because by where we live they only cost $2 and not $5. The barista was helpful in answering any questions we had. We sat in the new area while we waited. We played a couple rounds of tic tac toe. They also have a small children's library selection.

20oz Iced Latte (~$6): with lavender & vanilla bean (+$1) and macadamia milk (75¢)

Ordered: 20oz Iced Latte (~$6): with lavender & vanilla bean (+$1) and macadamia milk (75¢) Egg Cheddar Sandwich (~$6): home-baked eggs with salt, pepper, mild cheddar cheese on ciabatta Aya's take: Twisted Tulip is one of my favorite cafes in North Jersey due to great lattes, very spacious, and easy parking. Another reason is the jazz band they bring in on weekends! I stopped by for a quick breakfast and got to enjoy some jazz music, as well. The Latte was made well although a bit steep for ~$8. The Egg Cheddar Sandwich was unreasonably good. The ciabatta was soft and fresh and the eggs were thick yet soft and well-seasoned. Solid spot for a quick caffeine run!

Loving the Twisted Tulip, my new favorite coffee shop!

My new favorite coffee shop! Twisted Tulip has a wide range of beverage options and very friendly service! Although I had a hard time deciding what to order, I figured for my first time that I couldn't go wrong with the drink of the week, and I certainly wasn't disappointed! I absolutely love that concept and really enjoyed the inventive drink. I can't wait to return and see what they conjure up next! I love how spacious the cafe is and their eclectic music choices. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and thoroughly enjoyed it. I will absolutely be back soon!

While driving trying to find another restaurant yesterday, I passed The Twisted Tulip. Today, I made time to stop in here. This is a very cool coffeehouse. It reminds me of a place you'd find in Brooklyn. There's a great selection and you can tell they take their coffee seriously here. I chose the "coffee of the week" for my first time here. This gingerbread vanilla latte was excellent! Everyone here was very friendly. I'm guessing these were the owners. There's a punch card for frequent guests. I got mine and I'll be back often!

Would like to see more umbrellas for the tables that are outside. Like to sit outside, but not directly in the sun. Thanks.

Once you're inside it's a very beautiful cafe serving up healthy and flavorful options. We started with corn bites to share, they were like corn on the cob "ribs" style and had a nice kick to them. I ordered a Caesar salad and a short rib flatbread that was on the special menu. The salad was delicious with the perfect amount of dressing and the flatbread was yummy too. My sister got the chicken pesto sandwich which was messy but very flavorful and worth it! The fries the sandwich came with were amazing, perfect amount of crisp and potato. Mom got a Greek salad and that was great too. There was only one guy taking care of the tables and cleaning and he was very friendly and accommodating. We had a nice quiet lunch and were very happy with everything.

People waiting for tables are awkwardly clustered at the door staring at everyone eating. The cesar wrap was unfortunate and had hardly any dressing. It was served warm which made the lettuce mushy and weird. The mushy lettuce wasn't a great mix with the unseasoned chicken. Not the worst sandwich I've had but far from the best. The verdict: mediocre
