For our entree, we shared the Pan con Bistec with black beans. Splitting it was the right call because the portions are generous. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, the kind of food that feels like it came out of someone's kitchen rather than a restaurant line. If you leave hungry, that's on you. She simply said there were no more times available. After driving an hour to get there, I asked if she might have any suggestions for another place nearby where we could have a nice meal. Her response was just "no." The whole interaction was incredibly odd and unwelcoming. After making the trip specifically to come here, it was frustrating to be dismissed so quickly with no effort to help. Based on this experience, I won't be attempting another visit. ***it has since become a running joke between us whenever a situation makes no sense, we just say, "Someone must have stormed the castle."
