It is located along the Wisconsin River a short drive outside of Madison. Vintage Brewing is right on the river, giving the patio a really pretty setting. The patio is large and has a great spot for bands with plenty of tables for the audience. We decided to order dinner while we were there. I am not a beer drinker so I ordered the Wisconsinite ( a blackberry brandy old-fashioned). It wasn't bad, but definitely more on the sweet side than I care for. We shared the fried cheese curds, which had a great flavor, though not the best I've had. I really enjoyed my blackened salmon salad. The salmon was delicious and the salad was fresh. My husband also enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich. They had some fun swag for sale, and I came home with a cute pink t-shirt. We were kind of seated in a corner booth behind a wall, so I feel like maybe we were forgotten about a little bit by our server. I also think he was the only one working upstairs, so he might have been a bit overwhelmed. But he was very nice and took care of all of our requests. All of our food was decently good. Three of us got the bbq bacon style burger, one got a salad, the kids got the Mac bites, and one of us got the brisket sandwich. I was happy to see that one of the side options was carrots and celery, and they were big pieces of veggies for the sides. Would I come back here again? It's certainly not out of the question. After getting seated, we ordered drinks and three entrees (two specialty salads, a pasta meal, and a burger). The drinks came relatively fast, but the service on the food was incredibly slow. Well over an hour's wait. At one point I guessed, "They must be growing lettuce for the salad." Food arrived, but incorrectly prepared on one of the salads. The server offered "I specifically told them dressing on the side...I can bring it back and get it made over." We had already waited well over an hour, so we just took it as it was fearing an even longer delay. Actually, three of the meals were quite good (except for the overpriced and totally unremarkable burger), but I doubt any of us will return after the sluggish service. It was such a lengthy wait for the food and the server was so harried and overworked that ordering desserts was not offered. We had to get up and walk in search of a way to pay our bill. I really like that they ask if you want white or dark meat chicken (and most ordered the dark). The salmon and BBQ specials were very generous. In fact most took at least 1/2 of the ribs and their side home with them. The rest of the food was fine, but no one indicated exceptional. My recommendation is go for the chicken and ribs.

When our food reached our table, we thought that it might not be enough to fill us but we were more than full afterwards and agreed that anything bigger might be too much. The service was good, very standard for a WI Supper Club and the beer was cold. I'll be coming back to try some other dishes and I recommend this for the atmosphere and decent food.
