We had a written agreement via text about what would and would not be cut--including a specific, healthy tree that I explicitly said to leave alone. I am the property owner, and that agreement should have been final. Instead, they went ahead and cut it down anyway. Now the owner's son is claiming someone else gave him permission--an excuse I don't believe for a second. Then he had the audacity to double the price and justify it by saying it was because of the tree he wasn't supposed to cut in the first place. That's not just unprofessional, it's manipulative. I also paid for stump grinding, and what they left behind is a complete mess--huge, dangerous trunk remnants scattered across the yard, and a giant mound where the tree once stood. Nothing was leveled as promised. It's unsafe and sloppy. I paid hundreds of dollars for arborist reports that were never delivered. I followed up multiple times and was completely ghosted. The owner's son screams, refuses to fix his work, and literally told me to "take him to court." So I will. This company is dishonest, aggressive, and deeply unprofessional. Do not be fooled by their name--there is nothing "happy" about Happy Tree Service. Stay far away.

The only issue we experienced was they initially drove the crane onto our lawn, which tore it up and cracked the sidewalk. When I called to let them know, there was no apology for the damage. Instead, I was told the city should handle the sidewalk. Then given the excuse of it was "thin and washed out underneath," was why it cracked easily. While we know our lawn isn't perfect, it was still frustrating to see it torn up. Also, the truck partially drove over our sewer line. Fortunately, there was no damage. It would've been appreciated if they had at least consulted us beforehand. We would've gladly let them use the driveway from the start, where they eventually moved the crane anyway. We weren't even aware the sidewalk was cracked until we noticed it ourselves later that day. Someone could've easily gotten hurt. Instead of the company reporting it, we had to reach out to the city ourselves to start the repair process. In the end, great work on the tree, but we were disappointed with lack of accountability for the damage caused.

Brian and his crew removed two trees in the backyard that were badly damaged by the fall hurricanes. One was a large laurel oak that needed careful attention to remove a large branch over the house, and one that went through another tree we wanted to keep. There are also diagonal power lines across the yard, and they carefully and expertly worked around them. They worked non-stop and removed the trees and debris in one day. Upon request that same day, Brian also trimmed some additional branches on other trees. Turns out the laurel oak was rotten inside, so I felt relieved that it was removed, even though I miss it. The tree grinder came the next business day. The stump was large, so some pieces remained. I contacted Brian, and he quickly responded, even though he was on vacation. He explained this is common problem for big tree stumps and he quickly arranged for the tree grinder to return, who did, and resolved the problem. I am very happy to recommend B&T's Tree Service.

They arrived a few hours after Ed came by to assess everything. And came with a huge crane, several trucks, a crew of several guys, a chipper and a dump truck to haul all the tree parts away. Ed previously handled a Bamboo cluster gone wrong at my house. And he recently came back after my swimming/flying tree disaster, just before the storm hit, to clean up the overgrowth on my front yard trees. The more I think about what happened in the back yard, with a tree that simply got over weighted with wet foliage and split apart, the more I appreciate the service I got before the storms came. I could have had three more trees do the same, but land on my house instead. It was also insanely cool to watch them lift a tree up over our houses and place it in the yard to cut it up.
