We just had a very positive experience with Tony and his team from Gulf Coast Trees. They were performing a job across the street and Tony very politely came to my front door, introduced himself, and asked if we needed any tree trimming done. It just so happened that we did! Tony very carefully went through everything that he would be able to trim while still staying within the requirements of the city (it was oaks that were being trimmed). He told me that he would go ahead and obtain the permit and do the job two days later. His crew arrived as scheduled and did a wonderful job. In addition, the workers were very respectful and even picked up our dogs' poop prior to starting their work so they wouldn't track it all over the place! Tony arrived at the end of the job to ensure that I was happy with the work, which I was. The only negative with this whole experience was when Dave Reilly appeared in my backyard without my permission and proceeded to tell me all of the reasons why what I had done was wrong. I have repeatedly heard horror stories of having to deal with him and now I experienced it for myself. I wish that the city would realize that their "tree czar" doesn't treat the residents of this city very well. But as for Gulf Coast Trees, they get top marks from me! read more

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! After a thunderstorm, I had a large limb shear from a tree between my and my neighbors house. I called Gulf Coast Trees and they were quite courteous and professional. They listened and asked questions to understand my situation and make sure there was no imminent danger of damage to either home. They told me a specific time range when they would arrive and they met it. They gave me a clear and reasonable estimate before anything was done. They explained everything they would do and I felt comfortable with them on my property and in my yard. They asked me if there was anything else I needed done while I was there - and even though there wasn't they offered to 'tidy up' a branch or two on an adjacent tree with no cost just because it would look nicer. Gulf Coast Trees, Inc. - Tony and Patrick and their crew - did an amazing, professional, efficient and quick job of trimming my massive trees and bushes before "hurricane season" at HALF the price of a competitor's quote. They hauled a huge amount of limbs off of some very spikey areca palms that were ridiculously high and hard to manage. AND they even came back a second time to take care of some limbs that an electric company crew would not elimate from the cable and telephone lines, at NO charge. The last time I needed my trees trimmed I tried to do it myself and fell off the ladder 2x and additionally proceeded to burn the trimmings in my firepit and actually burned my legs to the point that I have scars - The next time I needed my trees trimmed I called gulf coast trees. A friend knew Patrick, so I contacted Tony. He came to the house to trim 6 palm trees. He was on time for the appoinment and before he gave me a quote, he made suggestions about trimming the 3 huge oaks in the front. I agreed it needed to be done then he gave me the quote. I thought it was a little expensive but it was needed. We set the appointment, I left the gates unlocked and when I came home from work...all I can say is wow. So, I had a tree that was uprooted from hurricane IRMA, and had begun to sag & imminently fall. Called different companies and received some pretty high estimates. Gulf Coast Trees was the last company on my list, and their price was by far the most competitive. This made me suspicious, but went ahead and hired them to remove the tree. They did a fantastic job & cleaned up other foliage and trees in my yard! Very professional, meticulous, and considerate of my neighbors as well. He came out to discuss scope and was very knowledgeable, friendly, and responsive. Gave me a more than fair quote and even offered to take care of some other small trimming jobs around my house. Gulf Coast does great work. Our office manager has hired them several times to take care of the trees at work, and several other employees have used Gulf Coast at their home. When I moved to Odessa, I was happy to be able to move to an acre of land, but not happy about the several dead trees on the property.
