A second crew showed up one or two days later. They too were sent off the job because of bad workmanship. A third crew arrived and decimated an old oak that was a major, dramatic feature of our house. They were told by me and the first manager that came to look at the job that the was not to be touched. Our very expensive tree lighting was also disturbed and broken. They fixed one fixture but when dealing with the others they broke they refused to replace them or reimburse me for having them fixed. They charged a great deal of money and were completely paid.

The only issue we experienced was they initially drove the crane onto our lawn, which tore it up and cracked the sidewalk. When I called to let them know, there was no apology for the damage. Instead, I was told the city should handle the sidewalk. Then given the excuse of it was "thin and washed out underneath," was why it cracked easily. While we know our lawn isn't perfect, it was still frustrating to see it torn up. Also, the truck partially drove over our sewer line. Fortunately, there was no damage. It would've been appreciated if they had at least consulted us beforehand. We would've gladly let them use the driveway from the start, where they eventually moved the crane anyway. We weren't even aware the sidewalk was cracked until we noticed it ourselves later that day. Someone could've easily gotten hurt. Instead of the company reporting it, we had to reach out to the city ourselves to start the repair process. In the end, great work on the tree, but we were disappointed with lack of accountability for the damage caused.

I specifically told Tony that I wanted all the stump grinding waste removed at least 6" below grade to be ready for papers, he nodded like salesman do and we agreed on a price. On the morning his crew showed up I reminded him about the stump and he told me they don't grind the stump and I needed to tell the stump guy when he showed up later in the week. I should have canceled the job right then. The stump guy was pleasant but said he doesn't haul away thedirt/mulch but he'd try to grind 6" below grade. Anyway, I have been shoveling mulch for 2 months in this heat and am only 2/3 through the pile. Called Tony to see if they could help out if they a few minutes after a job , no luck, just so sorries! Sorry I trusted them and hired them on my bro in laws recommendation! Get it in writing! I told Tony during the walk through prior to quote that I wanted it below grade and the mulch removed, he just nodded! It wasn't until my yard was full of people and equipment that I was told you that someone else would grind the stump and leave the mess. Got quotes from 900 to 1600 to remove the waste. The $900 dollar crew showed up, filled a 4x8 trailer, I paid them 300 for the load. They called and said the couldn't finish the job without a loader. Wouldn't have accepted your bid in the first place had I been told I would be left with this debris. NOT INDUSTRY STANDARD TO FARM OUT GRINDING AND LEAVE A HUGE PILE OF DEBRIS IN BEACH PARK NEIGHBORHOODS!
