They did remove the branches--and maybe one more than expected--but overall, the work itself was fine, and they cleaned up the debris. That said, the customer experience left a lot to be desired. Communication was lacking throughout, except when they repeatedly followed up for the deposit. They didn't tell us in advance that our driveway and front street needed to be clear for their truck, so my partner had to rush home from work to move the car. After the job, no photos were shared, and when I asked about the price and 3% credit card fee, they pointed to the contract. Fair enough--but it would've been helpful if they had mentioned that upfront. I offered to send cash or a check to avoid the surcharge, but they said credit card is now the only accepted method. Between the lack of communication and inflexibility, I wouldn't recommend them based on customer service alone. Hopefully the residue left on our vinyl fence comes off with a hose.

Plenty of them either took long to respond or came back with high estimates. Some companies didn't even respond at all. Joe and his team responded quickly and gave a really reasonable price. In addition to that, they were able to schedule the job the same day because they were in the area and got there within 2 hours. The crew of about 6 men chopped and removed the tree within 1.5 hours and cleaned up the area. By noon, everything was already done and gone. The stump remained but was treated for easy future removal. I was super impressed because I considered it a really big tree for Brooklyn standards, but they made it look so easy. Phenomenal job! I highly recommend. Nothing beats a painless experience.

We paid them $7,000 -- a wildly overpriced amount -- but because they did a good job for us in 2022, we trusted them again. That trust was a huge mistake. It is now three months later and my yard is still in complete despair. The owner, Joe, specifically agreed to also remove the stump, and yet it still sits rotting in my backyard. Because of this, weeds have overtaken the space and my family hasn't been able to enjoy our backyard the entire summer. I have called, texted, and left voicemails multiple times. Joe occasionally responds just enough to string me along, then disappears to chase new projects and new customers' money, while completely ignoring the work I already paid him for. His behavior is unprofessional, dishonest, and absolutely disgraceful. At this point, I've contacted officials, and my attorney will be handling this matter moving forward. Save yourself the money, time, and stress -- this company will scam you, waste your summer, and leave your yard in worse condition than before.

Steve came by to assess several hours after we requested and was able to schedule removal for the next day, astonishingly. We did not see indemnification language in his form proposal (agreement), but were able to have him add us as additional insureds -- and he volunteered to add all adjoining neighbors as well. His policy limits are adequate. And he affirmatively reached out to the school across the street from us to notice them about the large trucks and noise associated with tree removal. It was a huge job, but he and his team were able to complete the work in a single day. Other contractors had told us it would take two days. He and his team were clearly experts at rope work and took down branches without causing damage to the pergola or patio below the tree. They did have to take out our beautiful smaller tree adjoining the large, leaning tree, sadly. This kind of work is expensive -- heart-attack-inducing expensive -- but based on the quotes we received, Steve's pricing is not unreasonable. Very professional company and team, very responsive to questions. We would not hesitate to recommend Steve to anyone who finds themselves in the same unfortunate situation we were in!
