I called for treatment for Spongy Moth Caterpillar infestation and was advised I would need 2…read moretreatments - 1 in June and 1 in July at $600 each. The team came once in June, which seemed to work. There was no evidence of continued infestation after that first treatment. To my surprise, the team showed up again only about a week and a half later still in June for our second treatment. I later learned from multiple reliable sources, including a NY.gov webpage, that Spongy Moth Caterpillars turn to moths by the end of June. I believe I was oversold, so I made a few calls and sent a letter. I paid for the first treatment, but contested the second. The billing department is threatening collections and transferred me to the Plant Healthcare Manager who admitted some trees need 1 treatment and some need 2..."we sell for coverage." I asked him to clarify and he said they sell 2 in case 2 are needed. I have left 3 messages for my salesperson With no response. Incidentally, we still have nearly complete leaf coverage.

This was right at the heaviest time after the storm, when everyone's power was still out, there were trees blocking all the roads ... I must have called at least 20 different arborists and left messages for all of them. I got a call back from a scheduler in the office before long, and Bob Wilson came out to look at my property and give me an estimate later that same day. A very nice guy. He was able to schedule the crew to come out and do the work the very next morning. They showed up right when he said they would. The total bill came out to less than the estimated amount. I received a follow-up phone call the next day from someone in the office to make sure everything had been satisfactory, which it was. Later that next day, Bob himself dropped by unexpectedly in the middle of the nor'easter, snow blowing all over the place, to offer to give me a hand putting a tarp on the roof where the trees had crashed down on it. I again asked them if the estimates are free the person who answered the phone said "absolutely". Two days later someone from Timberline called to make an appointment and told me the estimate costs $200. I told him that is not what the website or the person who answered the phone said. He told me the estimate is free only if we cut down the tree. That is not what is written. How can you trust a place that has false advertisement and lies before you use them . Every other arborist I call give legitimate free estimates.
