My prompt to my gpt this morning included "family owned, cozy place, food that hugs you like a grandma after a long time away, etc" this is one of the best places I've been in USA so far. I also woke up idealizing to only try new things and no repeats but I've already ordered a second drink haha I absolutely don't want to leave. As soon as you walk in they greet you and help you out, then the bartender (I came by myself so I sat on the bar) approached me with the most warmth and helped me getting something according to her experience and taste but considering my taste and preferences. The food came (quick for how busy it is 12 min) The food tastes just like a grandmas food that she's been working the entire day on it. I can't wait to be back here. Also I didn't have anything the entire day and couldn't finish my plate because the amount of food is way more than decent. Place is clean, music is great and volume even better, you can see families bringing their babies to enjoy meals here. Also everyone that works here and so nice and polite even if they're not serving you this is my favorite place from now on and I will not shut about it haha adding a picture of my drink (which we are repeating ) and plate that I'll be bringing the leftover home

First off, I love the history of this building... 1800s, supposedly the jail at some point long ago. You can just feel the history and imagine what took place in there as you sit and wait for your meal. The staff are all fun and attentive, and our server -- who was also tending bar that day -- was amazing! We were there early enough for the half priced apps, and weren't hungry enough for a full meal. I ordered a side salad with ranch, and we split the smoked nachos. When they came out, it was a huge portion and enough for both my wife and I. The only drawback is that they didn't have any sour cream that we could add to the nachos... It may seem trivial, but I've never needed anyplace that didn't have sour cream for the nachos. Because of that, I will give this a 4.75 stars. We will definitely be back!

Location and Parking Street parking around the square is available for free, however we opted for the deck at the edge of the square for convenience. Venue and Atmosphere Featuring two levels, stately hardwood floors, and sophisticated lighting, Mac's is perfect for a date night, celebration, or whatever occasion your heart desires. Service Our server (I forgot his name!) happened to be a former chef and restaurant owner himself. As expected, he was extremely knowledgeable and gave great food and wine recommendations. Food and Beverages We split the Caesar salad, sirloin, and appetizer trio. Everything was delicious, cooked at the perfect temperature, and seasoned to perfection. The lobster mac and cheese deserves a shoutout; I just wish the appetizer portion could be larger (haha)! They gave us a lovely complimentary dessert for our anniversary, much appreciated! Verdict I'll be back!

Due to the openness of the dining room, it is on the louder side making it difficult to talk with folks not sitting directly next to order across from one another. Service was very good, attentive, and frirfriendly. My wife and I both had ceasar salad, filet medium rare, and strawberry topped cheesecake. For sides we had asparagus and mashed potatoes. The sides wete quite good, the best part of our meals. The salad was okay though the dressing was on the more bland side and fresh ground pepper helped its flavor profile quite a bit. For a restaurant calling itself a "chophouse" and supposedly upscale, you would think they would know how to cook a steak or use a better quality steak. Our filets were cooked to proper temperature but lacked any taste of salt or seasoning and lacked any searing on the outside. The meat was chewy rather than tender and made us wonder "what's so special about this place" where parking availability is also a challenge!? So you would think dessert would be hard to mess up, but our cheesecake was nothing special at all. We've had better tasting Sara Lee cheesecake from the supermarket; definitely below expectation. We'll consider giving it another try, but at their prices there are so many other tried and true steakhouse we much prefer.

Had a lovely time. We got a cocktail before we came at Third Door...took a shortcut through Hansell St, walked through the tiny but charming Church Street Park, and ultimately landed at our (mostly) nondescript location of Spring. Note that this is the "original"...not the more casual (but supposedly great) 2nd branch location. Service is welcoming immediately upon arrival. It is a small venue with a limited number of tables. Essentially the size of a living room. It is also a minuscule menu...but curated with care and delivered with diligence. Please note that I would recommend trying a wine glass or two from the available selection. They put thought into the list of options, so I think you can't go wrong, and you can certainly ask about what flavor profiles you'd like as the team is quite knowledgeable. We enjoyed the Domaine Terrebrune and the Pinot Noir, but I'm sure all the wines are wonderful. Food was awesome as well. Really loved their rendition of an Andalusian soup (ajo blanco...think of it as equivalent to a white gazpacho) and the foamy garlic cream laden pasta. Would also recommend the grilled grouper and asparagus salad with salmon on the side. We also enjoyed all three desserts, though we overestimated our appetite by the end of the dinner!

Food: 5/5 We decided to try a leisurely lunch. The menu is not large, but it has enough variety to be interesting. Everything we tried was delicious. The smoked salmon appetizer portion was large, but the best part was the great flavor. I can see why this choice has been on the menu for years. The Vidalia onion soup will be a surprise for the non-Georgians who expect it to be similar to a savory beef broth like French onion soup. Georgia's onions from the Vidalia area are sweet and tasty enough to carry the soup without the help of a meat broth and the green pesto sauce offers a nice additional touch. The salmon on fresh salad was done perfectly. The panka-crusted cod with mashed potatoes and spinach was outstanding. Both were seasoned so lightly that the true flavors shone through. The portions were generous enough that dessert at the time would have been too much, but others can do as we did and take home one of the dessert choices. Next time we plan to try their sandwiches which looked yummy at other tables. Service : 5/5 Service was excellent from the pleasant greeting, through the entire meal. Our server, Clayton, couldn't have been more helpful with the menu, as well as being very efficient and amiable. He made sure our food was served promptly and our beverages glasses were full, and our requests were met quickly. Facility: The facility lends itself to the riverside experience from the canoe in the entryway ceiling to the flowers and bird feeders just beyond the patio tables. The white tablecloth ambiance informs you that this isn't a fast-food experience. There are tents set aside in a more private are of the garden as a lovely venue for special events Location : This isn't a quick roadside stop next to a 6-lane highway. Even though the restaurant is convenient to dine in an Atlanta suburb, the roads to the restaurant wind and meander for a short distance through one of the prettiest neighborhoods, with a canopy of large old trees, with lovely fences, hedges, and gates lining the road. There is courteous valet parking at the front door. The restaurant is not inexpensive but it is well worth the prices paid, in our opinion.

According to Marietta.com, the restaurant was originally named "Local on North," but changed to "L On North" to avoid confusion with another Marietta Square restaurant, "The Marietta Local." We visited on a Monday and business was unsurprisingly slow. For a place that was dead at the time, the food was still pretty good. Service was great. Our server was friendly. I wish I remembered her name so I could give her a shout-out here. Live music every Thursday-Sunday. I could see this place having a decent bar scene. Dining room is in the back. Atmosphere is casual. You can park for free on the Square, on nearby streets, and in certain lots/decks. Just be sure to pay attention to signs for hours and/or time limits. There are pay lots in the area too. I believe L On North opened in December 2019.

Kennedy was patient with our 1st visit questions & explaining the specials. We got a couple drinks (reasonably priced at $10-$12 these days) - a whiskey sour for me. Main course - scallop special over coconut spinach risotto for me was delicious & wife loved her seared ahi tuna (way too rare for me). One gripe - bathrooms are unisex so the men had apparently made a mess of the one my wife visited, which was gross for her. But everything else was very nice. With the two drinks & two entrees, we were out for $100 + tip. Be aware, menu warns of a splitting charge & there's also the now common 3 1/2% charge for credit card use. Gee, the more I write, I'm tempted to take back a star but I won't due to the otherwise nice time.
