A perfect October Wedding in Georgia.
    J B.

I had my Wedding at the Stanley House in 2021. The wedding was perfect and we had an amazing reception that followed. The great thing about this venue is they literally have a package to fit every persons budget. Most places start at 20k and go up from their. I utilized Adriane for catering my wedding as she helped me create a custom menu to exceed my expectations. If you are on the fence about choosing a venue, this place is perfect!

WOW What an amazing wedding night stay! The place is beautiful and very clean, the staff very friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are freshly renovated and gorgeous! We had the romantic package for our stay, which included fresh roses, an already chilled bottle of champagne, yummy chocolate covered strawberries, and more. The room also has nice touches that made it super relaxing, including a fan and a white noise sound machine. We appreciated having the little guide book of the square and ended up eating brunch at our new favorite spot Douceur de France. The new owners really go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. We cannot wait to return for our anniversary!!!

We stayed in Gen. Corse's Suite which had a super comfortable king size bed, a giant jacuzzi garden tub, heated bathroom tile floor, television, and more. There were so many thoughtful touches, like handcut flowers in a vase, a personalized note from the owner greeting us with our keys, corkscrew, ice bucket, and wine glasses. We had the privilege of speaking with Lynn, the owner, and she was so helpful and friendly. The inn was clean and beautifully decorated. Everything is within convenient driving distance. We will definitely visit again!

The location canNOT be beat - right across from the lake with great access to hiking trails and fishing holes. Even just walking and "setting" along the dam was so nice and breezy. Porch setting with a great view of the lake was relaxing. The beds are comfortable (if a bit high for this 5'3" short-legged lady) and the homemade quiche for breakfast was super creamy, with some berries for extra fiber. The owners served breakfast and though did *NOT* REQUIRE masks for Covid protection, they did wear masks and also showed off their extra-disinfectant machine and other anti-Covid preparations that they were taking. VERY affordable for us ~ $130+taxes and fees for 1 Friday night during Covid, I'm not sure if that was a lower price due to quarantine but it was a definite value from our perspective. I highly recommend this stop to people who want to spend time in Cartersville or at Lake Allatoona or are just passing through and want a non-hotel experience - you will love it!!

This home is exquisite! I particularly liked entering from the back porch side and being greeted as it immediately gave the mind-set of, "Welcome." And soon after, "Welcome Home." The grounds gardens are an English garden oasis in this Midtown section. The property sits far enough off of Piedmont so that the city noise and traffic is hardly noticeable, yet you are only a couple of blocks from the park and some great restaurants. Everything is wonderful, from the gardens to the architecture and modern upgrades (our shower with ceiling and side wall heads), pasties, snacks, soft drinks at the ready, down to the smaller details like triple sheet bedding and French coffee pressed morning brew. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our host, Judy, was very personable and we connected with her immediately, especially in discussing our shared faith. The porches are spacious, quiet, and if desired, heated. Breakfast is served at a community style table, which also turned out to be pleasant, simply because the type of patron to this particular sort of inn (Select Registry) must have something in common! In fact, a young couple also staying here unexpectedly showed up at a folk concert we also attended in Kennesaw (25-30 miles North) at a community Church. I believe there are eight rooms in the main house, each with a private and spacious bathroom. Personal entry codes are provided and activated during your stay. We had an absolutely lovely time and will be back!

I was traveling with my 9 y/o daughter from CA and was concerned about staying at the local hotel due to some concerning reviews. When I shared this with Jenny on the phone, she said, "I'll take care of you guys" with Southern charm and made me feel so comfortable that I booked our week-long accommodation on the spot! Everything was perfect! The Cottonmill Suite was so lovely - spotless, the bed was comfortable, we had AC, flatscreen tv and more than enough space to relax and unwind! Every morning we were spoiled with a yummy breakfast, with eggs from their local farm (which my daughter got to visit), pancakes, bacon....and the works! Every afternoon, there were free goodies available....including banana bread & brownies! On Friday night, we enjoyed a candlelight dinner, with dessert brought up to our room. Jenny & Teddy (and all the workers) were so great! Every need and request was met with a smile and "yes, ma'am." Hands down, this is the place to stay when you're in the area. Thank you, Jenny, for sharing your B&B with us!
