Recently visited three roses this past Saturday, and was pleasantly surprised! Inside: Inside is very spacious with plenty of seating indoor. It wasn't overly busy when we arrived, which made it even more enjoyable. They offer patio seating, though it's somewhat limited given the location in the Square. Since the weather was so nice, patio was full, which was expect, but the endorse space more than made up for it. They had the place decked out for St. Patrick's Day, which was such a fun surprise. It felt festive without being overwhelming, and they even had a special pop-up menu for the holiday (though I stuck to the regular menu this time). They have a lot of TVs throughout, as expected for a sports bar, but it still manages to feel intimate at the same time. Service: Service was great from start to finish. We were seated immediately upon arrival. Our server was very attentive and patient, especially since we were waiting on one more person to join our party. He consistently checked on us without rushing us, which I really appreciated. Pricing: Pricing was reasonable for the location and overall experience. Given the quality of the food, the portion sizes, and the atmosphere, it felt like a good value. Food & Drinks: Ordered the fried green tomatoes (I'm obsessed with them, and think I have to order at any and every restaurant that has them lol), cheese curds, chicken tenders and fries (yes, I'm childish). Everything came out super quick. My sister and aunt ordered the fish and chips and enjoyed their meals as well. While I didn't try anything from the St. Patrick's Day menu, it was nice to see they offered seasonal options. Overall, it's a great casual but still "nice" environment, family friendly, spacious, and perfect for a laid back outing. I'd definitely go back to try more items on the menu! read more

This is my first not so good review. I'll be positive first...the fried shrimp and fries were decent. The beer was cold. Now for the not so positive...the place seems as if it wants to be a sports bar and then it kind of wants to be a restaurant. Pick one, not both. The layout is strange. Our waitress had no personality and didn't seem to even care to be there. The waitress behind us seemed awesome, so I wish she would have had us. Oh well. We only popped in for a cocktail, so I cannot comment on food past whatever went by me smelled AWESOME and the menu looks inviting. What struck me the most was the service. The bartender was on it, the person clearing glasses from the bar and washing struck up a convo about the drinks and his recent travels, and the person who delivered the drinks was polite with a huge smile. They had special holiday cocktails and a decent bar list of unique variations of the standards. Our drinks were tasty and the ability to watch a game at something without game day screaming from intoxicated masses was a perfect combo. I had no idea how large this place was given it was my first time there, however I plan to go back and try the food. Huge room in the back with a large bar. Only complaint...two bathrooms is not enough for that size restaurant, but I can easily lok past that for the ambiance and service. read more

Fine bar food on Marietta Square! Stopped in around 7:00pm on a Friday evening. The place was pretty busy but between the massive dining area and two separate bars, I was able to find a seat. There is a small bar in the front perfect for grabbing a drink to go as well as a larger bar in the bar where the dining area is. The space was decorated with Beetlejuice for Halloween (October) which I loved. Super fun vibe and it wasn't overdone/tacky. Service was exception. Even with it being busy the bartender was attentive. She was super friendly and outgoing. I started with an an order of the Scorching Hot Wings. The flavor was fantastic. Nice amount of heat as well. I would have liked them a tad more crispy but the meat was tender and fell from the bone easily. It's a personal preference, I would likely ask for them extra crispy next time. From there I had the Fried Green Tomato BLT which was also excellent. Thick sliced tomatoes in a well seasoned breading and fried crispy. Smoked bacon, garlic mayo and goat cheese tied it all together. I absolutely loved this sandwich and would definitely recommend. Came here during Halloween season and the decor didn't disappoint. They had a Beetlejuice theme and were playing the original Beetlejuice movie on the big screen. This location is in Marietta Square so there is free and paid parking available. I sat at the bar and ordered a themed cocktail which was good but very sweet. I also ordered the side salad. I'm excited to come back here during NFL games next time I'm in the area, as all the TVs in the back with sports on looked awesome. My group went late morning on a Sunday and we nearly had the place to ourselves. I imagine that will change when football returns. My food was really good as I enjoyed my cheese curds and my fries had a lot of flavor. Our waitress was very attentive, always asking if we needed anything else and refilling our waters. I came here for brunch while visiting friends and the food did not disappoint! I got the bacon egg and cheese on a biscuit which came with home fries and it really hit the spot (I ate half of it by the time I remembered to take a pic!) The restaurant itself was very spacious with a lot of seating options. Many people were sitting outside but my group really wanted the AC and I was surprised that it wasn't crowded inside. First of all, the decor is beautiful! We walked in and the St. Patrick's Day decor joyfully smacks you in the face. Not really but it was really festive and fun! The dining room is huge with carefully placed acoustic paneling/paint/decor to make it feel more intimate. We were sat at a booth and offered the traditional menu and the St. Patrick's Day menus. We went with the seasonal menu since it's available for a limited time. The corn beef and cabbage was delicious and sizable. The Reuben was traditional full of meat. We had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon after parking on the Square. As usual for mid-July in Georgia, it was hot in the sun, so we were happy inside the cool A/C and booths of Three Roses. I had the French Dip Prime Rib (again), and my wife chose the Chicken Fried Chicken w/ peppercorn gravy on the side (again). As always, the food was great. Our waiter was delightful - engaging and personable - with prompt attention and stellar service. We've seen him many times and are always in good hands with him. Three Roses is a secret in the open on Marietta Square. I've been there twice and both times were excellent. I've had the bacon jalapeño pimento burger, and my family had the BLT and chicken tacos. All of those dishes were fresh and delicious. The fries are done perfectly, served in small fry baskets. The menu has a big variety- pasta, steak, wraps, and salads all on the menu. There is also a tasty selection of desserts, and a full bar. Service is prompt, however the nights I was there, they weren't busy. What I also really enjoy about this place are the booths, that make up most of the seating. Large booths where you can bring a party of 6, and a couple that appear to seat more. The cube walls are tall, giving you plenty of privacy without being claustrophobic. There is sidewalk seating, but it was too hot outside for me to try that. In all, I find this a delightful and underrated comfortable place to dine. read more

Sitting in this 'sports bar' during March Madness watching basketball on my phone because the multitude of TVs are currently tuned to college women's softball and college men's wrestling instead of the 3 NATIONALLY TELEVISED NCAA GAMES CURRENTLY ON. I'm watching a lost gentleman who clearly has good intentions try to work these TVs with no idea what he's looking for and no idea how a TV works. He's clearly never held a remote control in his life but he's in charge of programming at a sports bar. I WANT TO LIKE YOU!! But you're so bad at what you're trying to be. We tried out Three Roses with a group to catch up on a few basketball games as it's marketed as a sports bar. However, the inside looks more like a night club and had a bit of a weird ambiance. The service was slow even though the restaurant was nearly empty and the food took a while to come out. Overall, the food was just mediocre. The wings were good, but we were not given a choice of ranch vs. bleu cheese. The spinach dip was rather bland and did not come with nearly enough chips for the amount of sauces. The cheese curds were a smaller portion than expected and it was very odd that they were served with honey and horseradish sauce. When our entrees did come out, our server gave it all to the incorrect people and it was extremely hot - too hot to eat, but at least we knew it was fresh. Given the odd ambiance and service issues, we'd tried somewhere else before returning here. read more

First off let me say the service was great! Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. After seeing Instagram posts, I was excited to see the "Elf" setup. I was terribly disappointed. What you see on instagram is just the entrance, once you actually get into the restaurant the decoration is very little and just your typical Christmas decor. Next the food!!! We had the spinach and artichoke dip, the dip was great but the chips were horrible. They were hard and stale. I had the hamburger which turned out to be a frozen thin patty that tasted like rubber. After 2 drinks, an appetizer, a steak dinner and a hamburger, the bill was $109.00 dollars!!! I would definitely not recommend this restaurant, there are much better ones along the square. We visited this restaurant and yes the drinks made by Chelsea ARE AMAZING. Ask for her if you visit. The ambiance is very nice. The restaurant has a sexy vibe with televisions all over. Definitely a plus!! Now there's one downside.... The food. We ordered the "jumbo" shrimp, jambalaya pasta and cheese curds for an appetizer. The cheese curds were pretty good. They were luke warm when they came to the table. They have a sweet outside crust which mixed good with the white sauce they provided. The jumbo shrimp was the flat breaded shrimp that you buy in a box from any grocery store. We were disappointed to see that they called this jumbo shrimp and it wasn't the actual large shrimp that we were used to getting from a restaurant. They were fried crispy which was fine but again, not the jumbo shrimp a restaurant normally serves. The jambalaya pasta was said to be spicy, it is not. It has a slight kick like you put black pepper on your food. When it came out, it didn't have a great smell which was alarming. The dish as you can see is buried in sauce so you would think it would be seasoned to perfection. It wasn't. The pasta was undercooked and slightly tough. The chicken was in square chunks and the sauce was not very good. This was definitely a disappointment. I would say visit here for the drinks and if you are hungry, don't get what we ordered. For the price, we could have had a better meal. The stars are for the ambiance and Chelsea. Not the food. read more

We came on a late Sunday afternoon for the football game. What a cool atmosphere and vibe for an upscale sports bar. And I say upscale because that's what it feels like. It's not a pub or a dive. This is a nice sports bar with amazing food. Gourmet burgers that are worth the high price. Amazing cocktails and fairly priced for the pour they give you. This is a nice little spot in Downtown Marietta to have dinner. Service was very prompt and courteous, and the kitchen brought the food out themselves. It seemed a little bit slow, but I did come in near closing on a weeknight. I ordered the fried green tomato BLT and it was a cleverly constructed dish. Generally speaking, the tomato is what makes the flavor of a BLT with the crunchy and salty bacon as an enhancing contrast to the soft and sweet tomato. In this case, a fried green tomato is neither soft nor very sweet, so the bacon was swapped for pork belly and BBQ sauce. It's a well-thought-out dish and skillfully prepared and presented, so I can believe whoever is running the kitchen is good at what they do in most other cases as well. read more

We were walking around Marietta Square looking for something to eat for dinner and we thought the menu for this place looked great. Inside, it looked small toward the front with a bar, but as we were led inside it opened up into a large space with a ton of tables, TVs, and another bar. It appeared that there was an upstairs bar as well with a ton of people. We had the calamari as an appetizer and it came with some fried vegetables as well which were tasty. My cilantro shrimp wrap was really good, more filling than I expected and very well seasoned. We decided to order on of the crazy shakes- which were around $15 each, but totally worth it for the experience of a kid in a candy store being presented with a giant shake with a whole cookie and donut on top! Perfect night out. Atmosphere, food and service were spot on! Jake our waiter had a great personality and was very attentive. I can't say enough about the lemon merengue sour. Wow. That was a kitchen nightmare. One of the worst restaurants I have been to. I don't usually write bad reviews, because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this place needs to be called out. We went on a Friday night. We called ahead and they said there was no wait, which was great because we had 4 hungry kids. We headed straight over. Ambience was nice. Not what I would expect for a "tavern." We got seated right away, but it was all downhill from there. It took 20 minutes for anyone to even come to the table. I looked around and no one had any food. We should have taken that as a sign and left. It took 45 minutes to get our appetizers. I asked if they could make a grilled cheese for my son, and she said no - They won't allow anything that's not on the menu. 1 hour and 45 min into it and still no food. No drink refills. Our kids were losing it, so we asked for it to go. We asked for milkshakes to go and she also said they couldn't do that? Our food was NOT GOOD. As others have mentioned - it was not fresh. $17 for frozen chicken tenders?? The spaghetti pomodoro was literally just pasta with red sauce and a little parm sprinkled on top. They forgot one of our meals in the take out bag, which we didn't realize until we were on our way home. I watched another table send their chicken back with a look of disgust on their face. The cheesecake was not good and the sauce with it tasted like cough syrup. Our waitress was nice but honestly, The whole staff looked stressed, overworked, and sick of serving crap food. Food is really good, the space is way bigger than we expected from what you see from the street. This is the 2nd time ive been and everything has been really good both times. The hamburger is really good. The chick salad rap was really good as well. Some of the prices are a little high, but at least its good food. Drinks seem to he reasonably priced compared to the food. The furniture and tables are really nice. The TV is really huge, but there are a ton of obstructions to look around to see it from a lot of the seats. read more

Four of us for dinner, three of the meals were good and fourth, not so much. The Jalapeño burger was not so good, had a funny flavor. Surprisingly, the table next to us experienced the same issue with their burger. The grouper piccata was a little salty too. Apps were tasty. Drinks on the other hand, a bit overpriced. This is not a high end restaurant so they should not be charging $19 for a Hendricks and soda, that's a bit much. I have been at finer dining establishments and have paid less. At the end of the day, this is a sports bar/pub or tavern as they say in their title. Service was good, we had Gabriela, who did a great job for us. We never said anything about the burger until after we receive bill, because we overheard the other table stating the same. Ambience, well it's a sports bar and it does fit the bill as one for sure. Several screens with lots of sports, and we like that and why we went there. One thing that does not sit well with me is the CC fee charge, which bothers me a bit. I have seen this in some other establishments and don't agree with it so not just this tavern. People do not normally carry cash anymore for fear of theft and such, plus we are in 2024 where electronic payment is the norm. So overall, pretty good and the question of whether we will be back or not, we probably will we be back, but I would look elsewhere first before coming here. read more

Chicken was slightly salty but amazing. On another visit, pimento cheese and bacon burger was delicious, but they forgot to add the lettuce. The cocktails are made to order and could benefit from a list of spirits and favorites. Nevertheless, bartender is very knowledgeable. Prices matched the exceptional quality. The best thing about this restaurant is the playlist, by far. The atmosphere is more of a night club with very low lighting and TVs throughout. I think it's so dark in there so you can't see the highway robbery going on. $20+ for less than average portions and bland food. We started with the calamari, what little there was. It was essentially fried veggies with some meat in there somewhere. I had the ribs which were a bit overcooked and the mashed potatoes which lacked any kind of seasoning. My wife had the steak which looked undercooked (it was dark). Overall, bland and nothing special for an average of almost $30/plate. The ONLY redeeming quality is the great service. The stars simply go out to the staff who were quick, attentive and helpful. Loved the Thursday special for $7 mags or lemon drops! We had a sorority committee meeting there and I had the bacon jalapeño (pickled) pimento cheese burger that was pretty good. They got to work on the temperature because I asked for medium but it was closer to medium well. Nonetheless it was still good!! The salmon salad looked good too. We dined on a Saturday night with a party of 6. Our reservation was honored on time and we were seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant was very crowded and the noise level was high. Jake was our server. I was interested in the ribs. The price was $22.00 which I thought very reasonable for a rack of ribs. To make sure, I asked Jake if the ribs were a full rack or half rack. He told me quickly it was a full rack. Well the entrees arrived except for my ribs. Finally after another 5 minutes my ribs arrived. You can imagine my surprise when I saw the portion was ONLY 4 RIBS!!! Certainly not a full rack, but not even a half rack. 4 bones is not an entree size. That's an appetizer size! This was very disappointing. I called Jake over to ask if this portion was correct. I reminded him that he said it was a full rack. Either he does not know how many ribs constitute a rack, he didn't want to say exactly how many ribs were in the order or he just plain didn't tell the truth. I said there should be more ribs and to please go to the kitchen and speak with the line cooks. Jake never returned. Needless to say this was very disappointing and not good value for the price. On another note, the southern fried chicken and the salmon salad were very good. So I would say there was good and bad. We are not sure if we are returning as there are other fine restaurants in Canton which have excellent food, good service and value for the price being charged. read more
