Loved this place!!! Stopped by during a quest night two hours before closing with some friends and honestly regret we didn't go earlier. The staff was awesome, the atmosphere was great--definitely going to stop by again whenever I am in town to see family.

It was a really fun experience, although it was a tad on a slower side after 7pm (the drag show didn't start until 9). We were greeted at the door by Zizi (?? I'm sorry of if I misspelled it), who was dressed in a very elaborate fantasy warrior costume. The place was giving very much Skyrim vibes (made me wanna play the game again too. It has a few really cool areas to hang out, definitely a great spot to be at after dark. There's an entry fee of $15 per person but they also have a membership which ma worth for someone trying to go there more often than 3 times a month. There's drinks were pretty good and the bar looked like witch's desk.

We found this place randomly locked behind a mysterious door. It was $15 for a day pass so you can walk around, eat somewhere and return. It's pretty much like a mini ren fair with neat drinks and like two snacks on the menu. They also have performances later in the night. It's mostly worth it if you plan to stay for longer. They claim to be non profit. So all the money goes back into keeping this up.

Such a unique experience! The vibes were awesome both inside and out and every drink I got was delicious (especially the fairy wine!) If you have your own games you want to bring also a perfect spot for that. Overall would want to come back and spend more time here or attend an event! I think the $15 day pass is justified but only if you maximize time!

The Tiny Minotaur was the most welcoming and charming fantasy tavern--my husband and I had so much fun, we went TWICE on our weekend trip to Austin! We got to meet some of the regular characters at the local haunt, while also getting the opportunity to see our first drag show! What a fun experience and definitely one of the biggest highlights of our trip! If you are ever in Austin, or a local, go support The Tiny Minotaur! Pick up a glizzy or Karthian Classic while you're at it! (I recommend the Mimic's Mule!)‍‍

Incredible one of a kind tavern. Great beer, super reasonable prices, great staff, excellent ambiance. Everything I'd want in a local pub. My dream bar really. If you're a queer fantasy nerd who avoids being a nob; this is your space!

What an amazing show! This Tony-award winning musical was filled with great comical timing,…read morebeautiful choreography, wonderful performances, and more Dad jokes than you can count. A feast for your eyes and ears, directed by Jack O'Brien, who directed Hairspray. I'm still thinking about the stage design, and how it blended with the choreography. Joe did they balance on the wooden slats?! Lulu (Miki Abraham) stole the show. "Independently Owned" was my favorite song, and she was great in every way. Broadway In Austin made ticket pickup easy. Also they've removed the clear bag policy. Bass Concert Hall now offers additional restrooms past the foyer on four floors in a separate building; there were two people in front of me in line and zero behind me. The pedestrian traffic was well organized by the ushers and helpful volunteers. Her your corns up Austin, and take my kernels of wisdom to motivate you to see the Broadway show of the year.

Clue was comedic from beginning to end - like actually funny. The writing was witty and smart, the entire cast completely talented from head to toe. I love this venue because its clean, the aisles are spacious, the seats aren't as compact, and the staff members are so friendly and welcoming to the guests. 11/10, I would recommend seeing Clue to all my friends and to those I don't even know.

There was a group on the patio area where you can order tacos, I did not partake. Then the bar area inside. You can take drinks into the showroom as well. Scoped out the venue which was bigger than anticipated and really enjoyed the fish tank TVs. So fun! The show was entertaining and up to date with references all relevant to the current times. Everyone on stage was great and their chemistry can be seen. The audience was laughing 99% of the time and the show went back fast! I'd totally go back for a local Austin night out with good laughs.

They do a mix of comedy, magic, music , and just overall great entrainment for their shows. It's mainly themed around local and world politics + the LGBTQ community. Tickets are approximately $40. The show is about 90 minutes, with a 5 min break halfway through. They have a bar on site, and a taqueria that's connected to their building as well. Highly recommend the taqueria, it's authentic and delicious! Absolutely recommend for locals, visitors, and those who just want to enjoy a great show in the best city in the country!

He does a family friendly show so there were a lot of people there with kids, Full families, moms, dads, grandparents. We were one of the few without kids. The staff was very friendly at the entrance, the bar, and when seating. The place is pretty big and has upstairs and downstairs seating as well as a bar on several levels. Two points that did bring the visit a little down. The seating, you are packed in like sardines. No room to stretch even a little, you bump against the stranger next to you or them into you. It is almost worse then an airplane. Two no handrails on several stairs which are also uneven. I have some ongoing spine and foot pain and it caused me issues but I saw several other people struggling and one almost falling themselves. Had it been just me or maybe one other person that would be bad enough but as several people struggled that is a huge safety issue and should be fixed. The ushers helped when they could but sometimes they were helping others and didn't see it happen. Still it was a fun time, if a bit cramped. The staff is great and I love the history but that also means it is very outdated and not very comfy to sit for an hour or more, especially with no intermission.

I went to Whisler's and had one of the worst bar experiences I've ever had…read more I had one drink. I was completely sober for all intents and purposes. The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.
