I have purchased it at Target as well but they are not consistent in keeping it in stock as Windmill Farms. I in occasion pick up a bag of their locally lard fried corn tortilla chips and flour tortillas, which are very good. I also like that they have a coffee station. The ladies that make the hand made flour tortillas are always in good spirits and are up for good conversation when I visit. Same goes with the young ladies at the register. They have updated their hours and they are open on Monday- Saturday from 7am to 6pm. I have tried calling them to ask a question and their phone number does not work, I recommend looking on yelp and making sure they are open. The employees there are absolutely nice and helpful. On Wednesday, 05/27/2026 at approximately 8:30 AM, I went to the S&F store in Tierrasanta. I…read morenoticed that there was a large garbage bin full of parsley with very few yellow leaves, but overall in good condition. I asked the produce person and the sales clerk if I would be able to take them since I had fostered small animals for an organization. The manager at that moment arrived to instruct me that all produce in the garbage bin was not to be taken since it was a liability. I explained the organization I was with and still refused stating that all this produce goes to a processing plant for disposal. He could have just said "recycling." My question is: If this manager was so concerned about "liability" then why have I seen produce bags for 99 cents sold that were molding. I go to the S&F everyday or every other day and I see potatoes that are sprouting or discolored with green and that makes them toxic. I also see bell peppers, cucumbers, and cactus leaves with mold. All this being sold to the public. The manager should also check the produce in the regular shelfs because some produce needs to be pulled for wilting and discoloration. Yet it is still there days later rotting and a "liability." I shop at S&F for the great prices and also the produce on sale like 99 cents but much of it needs to be pulled. The parsley he was throwing away looked better than the parsley on the shelfs. Why doesn't S&F allow for sanctuaries that have small rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc. have the produce? I know Pavilions donates very good produce and bread to organizations that feed the homeless. This manager was extremely harsh and rude.
