I ran out of preworkout and this GNC was closest to my place. Usually, i try not to engage with the workers because i need time to think about the product i'm buying. The store itself is decently sized and had a good inventory of supplements to choose from! When I initially entered the store, the worker Jake greeted me and allowed me to have the space to think about what i needed. When i was ready I asked him a few questions and recommendations and he was knowledgable and happy to help me. He even was able to get me a sample of one of the flavors i was debating on getting! Convenient location, good stock of inventory, and great customer service! read more

Each time i have been to the GNC i have enjoyed it until this last time when we went and immediately the guy wanted to shove american brand items down our throat simply because it was american. All he could say was china brand this and oh its american brand so it has to be good &' all they carry is american brands for all their items. It was annoying bc at that point i was annoyed about the excessive use of american vs china so we left. Never going back to this location. read more

Wow, GREAT customer service! I came in-store today to only spend $50 max (on a budget) but Brandon T. up-sold me in spending $250 worth of supplements. Very thankful for your professional supplement advice, Brandon. I will be back in 30 days! Good service read more

I went to today apparently when I had my last exam I'm extremely vitamin d deficiency so they don't sell it in the regular pharmacies . I had to go down to the GNC store and buy me some vitamins from there they have all sorts of nutritional supplements and powder very nice place and very easy to find it's right there in Fenton parkway where Lowe's and Ikea shopping centers is at. read more

Love my man at GNC. Attentive, accommodating, happy. Convenient location and store hours too.

Great customer service. I didn't catch his name, but super friendly and knowledgeable employee assisted me today.

Came her to return something. Alex helped me out and he was very helpful and nice. He even recommended other stores that might have chewables. This store was well organized and stocked. Alex is the best! I'll definitely be back! read more

I had another great customer service and pricing (on Quest products) experience here! GNC changed their pricing structure on the Quest Bars, so instead of "Buy 3 get 1 Free" at $2.99 each, you can buy one bar at a time for $2.19 or 10 or $20... either way, it comes out less expensive than before. However, the super friendly associate Drew priced matched them for me to the Sprouts sale price of $2.09. He told me the GNC franchise stores would do that anytime! The protein cereal bars are only $1.79 (vs $1.99) at The Vitamin Shoppe. The Quest bars were only $2.19 for the protein bars and $1.79 for the cereal bars. They had all the Quest bar flavours in stock. Also, they have a new free loyalty program that basically gives you money back on your purchases! Like I stated before, the associate, Drew, is super friendly and helpful. He will give you honest reviews on what he thinks of the different bars, will price match your purchases, rings your order up efficiently and is super duper polite. (The other associate I dealt with last time, Sophia, was also really friendly and helpful. When I told her I was too scared to try the Lemon flavour (the only one I hadn't tried) since the bars were so hit or miss (you either love em or hate em) and didn't want to waste my money she gave me a free sample (of one in the back that was due to expire next month). So nice!). The store wasn't busy, it was easy to find close parking even on a busy Saturday afternoon (although the parking complex/area in general can get busy since there is a Costco and Ikea in the same mall). The store was clean, organized and well layed out. I can't speak for the rest of the products/inventory, but they seemed to have standard issue GNC stock. It is one of the smaller GNC stores I have been in and selection of bars, other than Quest, was fairly small (I believe they only had FitJoy and Combat Crunch) which is kind of a bummer. Also, the prices of the individual bars were not posted so I had to ask the associate to scan each item which was annoying. I will definitely return when I'm in the area and need a good deal on Quest bars. I'm sure I'll get great, friendly service! read more

Akram is the man he got good vibes and gave me useful information. Even hooked it up with a discount 10/10

I go to gnc for protein powder usually. This was only my second time at this location and Akram is the one who helped me. He was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable about the product and also the company when I had asked about using a coupon. I would definitely come back! read more

I came in and saw George. He gave me great insight, hooked me up with some great supplements to match my goals and am seriously already starting to see improvements! This was my first experience at any GNC location. The service was so bad that I asked for a refund before I left the store. I'm writing this review so management can make improvements. When a customer comes to your Store, selects a product without assistance, the Customer Service Associate (CSA) hasn't created any value in the transaction. The customer has done all the work. Coach your Associates' on how to creating value in the transactions. It's good for your business and the customers. The last paragraph describes the poor service. I purchased a product and was charged more than the advertised price. I brought it to the attention of the CSA. She told me that there's a gold membership price and a regular price. I told her that I see that the regular price is $$$ and the gold membership price is $$$, so there is confusion where the price you charged me came from. She points to an example of the pricing behind her. I told her that I understand that, but where does the price you charged me come from. She told me that I'm looking at the wrong advertising tag. I pull the advertising tag off shelf. I showed her the tag and the product so she could read for herself. She then tells me that the advertisement is reversed - pricing for product "A" was placed on product "B". I put the advertising tag back and I asked for a refund. When another Customer Service Associate walked in the Store, I asked him had he heard that the price tags were reverse. It was the first he had heard of this. She then began to explain to him. I then told her that she has just confirmed that the rest of the team is unaware of the reverse pricing or that she is making things up as she goes. I understand that GNC is a franchise. The pricing for products will be different at different locations just like the rent per square foot is different at other locations. So it's not a pricing issue. However, I should have never had to ask for clarification 3-4 times. The Customer Service Associate should have listened and recognized there was confusion - not that I couldn't read, I couldn't see, or I wasn't listening to her. Then she should have never stated it was a mistake and allow the advertisement to be place back on the shelf. The other Associate had enough sense to not put the advertising tag back on the shelf. read more

I walked into the store excited to buy a pre workout. Asked about the different prework out supplements. When I asked if I don't like it or it makes me feel me sick can I return it? I was told with rude response " if you are thinking about returning it, I don't want you to buy it!" Guy just gave me so much attitude when I was trying to shop here. I also found out this is NOT a corporate GNC. It is family owned. Their return policies must be different. I won't be coming back. read more

New location! Yay! Plus right now with a Yelp check in you can save 30% off. Good deal! The store is a little small. But they had the items that I was looking for. The staff who helped me was super knowledgable about the products. They also made some good reccomendations as far as taste of some of their protein shakes. There were some samples of some energy type of drinks that they sell. Also some vitamin chews. Simply..GNC has good products. But this location has me sold on their staff, the discount and a sample vitamin chew. The parking can be tight at this location at certain times of the day and week. Especially if you want prime parking near the store. read more

Kevin is the best employee! I came in he was super helpful answered all my questions and gave excellent service! I will be back soon!!

Asian dude at the store gave me a hard time about a return. Said it can't be opened or u have to take it back to original store. So I looked at receipt it said u could return at any store for any reason within 30 days. Once I brought that to his attention he suddenly had a change of heart and decided to make a "one time exception" for me. Followed by an awkward refund transaction. read more

Guys, it all depends on who you find. Ask for Lucas! I had an amazing experience here with Lucas and I was shocked because my previous experience at GNC Point Loma and Mira Mesa were awful! Lucas gave me a better discount than the coupons (on two expensive items), he suggested great products, and he did prepare a tiny sample protein shake to taste because I didn't want to commit to a protein without testing it. They got a new customer. read more

The only reason they got four stars it's because this place is tiny! And they just don't carry a lot of their items at this store read more

Great customer service! I came into GNC for the first time in a couple years and was looking for information on new supplements, and I was helped by Jorge, the store manager. He gave me a lot of detailed information and even though I told him I wasn't ready to buy, he was still as friendly and informative as when I walked in. I bought two preworkouts that an employee highly recommended from here called pump, but over a few months the powder became moist and hardened. They are unable to do anything without the receipt. I should have stuck with C4 instead. One star for poor recommendation and being unable to do anything to help. I expected some sort of documentation of the purchase through their computer through the GNC membership card. What a jip. read more

The guy working at 5:30 pm on 1/31 was rude, discourteous, and a horrible representative for the business. I came in looking for a specific supplement that I called ahead to make sure they carried. The employee who helped me seemed pretty knowledgeable, and tried to steer me toward other products he felt were more beneficial. What can I say though? The heart wants what the heart wants, so I bought what I intended to buy... And wished I hadn't! Next time I'll definitely take their advice. I have nothing bad to say about this location, other than they're on the small side, which is saying a lot about GNC's because they're typically the size of a post stamp! read more

After purchasing an apple cider vinegar at the GNC in Hillcrest for $3.99 plus tax. Total was $4.32. I then decided to go to Costco and then saw this GNC and I saw the same product for same price. So I took it and was ready to pay. usedmy GNC membership card and price cae out to 3.99 and then the total read $4.85 and I asked the clerk: why so much tax. He said: because you're getting the GNC discount and I told him: that's not right and he said: not right huh? and I said: no, it's not right and I don't want it. So I walked out. I probably have the receipt from the Hillcrest GNC so I can upload the picture. The clerk was a latino looking young man. I'm never ever going to come back to this place. read more

Worst GNC store. The manager just love to sell bad products and when you're trying to exchange it for a different one because your not satisfied he will give you a bad look. He's said " why are you so picky and love to return stuff" AND no you can't return those?????seriously????? I was shock when he said that considering I purchased another case of protein bars. I will never come back to this store. I'm sure he's one of those manager who just know how to sell and not for a long term sustanable customer relationship. This store just lost $25 a week or $100 a month or $1200 a year sales alone not including the whey protein....not too much ha...It's just happened I was on the complex but I will definitely go to fashion valley store instead of this one. read more
