Steve is great - I brought my mother-in-laws beautiful cuckoo clock in as it wasn't working properly. Steve gladly took a look while I waited and fixed a few minor things, tuned it on (oops!) and then proceeded to give me a thorough education on how the clock works! I have an antique German wall clock that stopped working. He immediately knew what was wrong - a broken escapement - and fixed it. When I brought it home, I had problems again and I brought it back. He took another look at it, could find nothing wrong but kept it a week to make whatever adjustment it might need occurred. There was no cost for the second look. In the end, whatever was wrong was probably due to how I started the pendulum and that was corrected. Since then, the clock has been working fine. I also brought several watches and he replaced all the batteries at a very reasonable price. His eclectic shop is fun to see. Highly recommend him. read more

Clock Repairs 10/21/2022--Steve came out to my 84yr old mom's home and took our Cok Koo Clock into his shop for repairs. He provided her an estimate for the repairs and a 4-month lead time for repairs. 12/1/23-- I stopped by his repair shop to find out the status of the repairs and Steve stated he had been sick and was also very busy. 12/20/23--I stopped by his repair shop and spoke with Steve about repairs. Steve is going to try to get the clock repaired in the next couple of weeks. 1/26/24--I stopped by the shop and Steve showed me the clock and actually pulled if off the shelf and moved it to the front of his repair shop. Steve stated he would work on it this weekend. 2/8/24--Stopped by the shop to check on repairs and Steve stated he was working on it along with a couple of other clocks. Steve stated the clock hopefully would be ready the next time I stopped by. 2/29/24--Spoke with Steve at his shop and hopes to have it done by next week. He put a note on his work bench to remind him. 3/19/24--Stopped by the repair shop and clock is still not repaired. Steve said he would have it done next week and I said that is what you have said each time I came in. Steve stated he was busy, and I said clock has been in your shop since 2022. I asked him can he really fix it and he asked me if I wanted to just take the clock. I took the clock home and just hung it back on the wall. Steve has had this clock since Oct 2022 and is good at providing excuses for not repairing the clock. Im not sure why we ended up with such terrible service. I dropped off my mantel clock is September 2019 at The Time Machine and was told it would take about 2 months to get my clock repaired. We kept calling every couple of months about the clock and was told it was on the next to-do shelf. Now here it is 27 August 2020 and my husband picked up my clock. The owner had not even ordered the part to repair the clock. If he was not going to do the repair why not just call and tell us that so we could take the clock to another repair shop. He had my clock for almost a year and did nothing to it. Would definitely not recommend this shop for clock repairs. read more
