I was genuinely happy with my purchase UNTIL....the salesman convinced me to purchase extra stating "don't worry even if it's a year from now you can return any excess". That was not true. When I brought 6 boxes of tile back for return I was told my window had closed. I am now stuck with hundreds of dollars of tile because a salesman wanted a sale that day. Word of advice: don't trust a word out of their mouth without confirmation in writing. read more

The Tile Shop as a whole I have no issues with but my sales associate Semra is an absolute cottonheaded ninnymuggins. Someone told me she is a new associate but maybe someone should tell her she shouldn't be in a customer facing business. She has zero customer service skill if she can't throw a phone call or email to let me know my tile is in. I think she's called me once during this whole ordeal to ask me how the tile samples were but other than that nothing. She was very helpful when helping me select the tile so I thought she would be just as helpful during the ordering process. I'm not sure if they make commission or what but find another sales associate. They told me that if I ordered my tile by Tuesday it would be in by Friday. The floor tile I had picked they said they would have to order from another warehouse and they would call me when the tile arrived. Well, nobody called me or reached out. I called them 17 days after I placed the order just to ask when it might be arriving and Larry, I think he is the manager, told me that it was in. I came to pick it up and I was informed in person that my floor tile was still NOT in, I was missing some of my order AND to come back the following Friday. I ended up canceling my floor tile order and buying floor tile somewhere else. Sarah was helpful, every time I called looking to speak to Semra I got Sarah. Sarah was helpful while I was IN the store but she told me she would return my phone call and never did. Do you think they just don't know how to dial out?? The young man in the warehouse was very helpful in loading the tile into my truck and let me know what I was still waiting for. I will no longer visit the Commack location, not like they are hurting for the business, I started going to the Westbury location and had a really, really great experience! Where has this place been all my renovation life??!! It's one thing to plan for a bathroom renovation, it''s another to find yourself having to do an unexpected renovation due to a major slab leak requiring a jack hammer that tears up your bathroom! After looking in all the usual places-Cancos, Old Country Tile, Porceda, Home Depot and Lowes, I could not locate anything that would match my current fixtures and wallpaper...and that didn't cost a fortune or look cheap. I found the Tile Shop after a google search and I am sooo glad I went. Beautiful showroom, great samples and reasonable prices. My salesman was very helpful, tracked down all the different items I needed and got it all delivered within a week. He even spoke to my contractor about some concerns since we were trying not to rip everything out of the bathroom and use some of the items we already had. Great place to look for tile and such. Plenty of helpful sales folks -- no high pressure -- very helpful. Can't comment on prices as we just had a small space to tile and didn't minding spending a bit more. I suspect that they could be more expensive than a Lowes or HD. You are paying for the nice showroom and sales force. I bought 4 boxes of tile and (thankfully!) only needed two. I brought the two boxes back well within the requested time frame. One box was unopened, the other was opened, but full. As long as you are returning the same amount you are buying, they take it back. I bought in mid January and didn't return until recently. Not even a "side eye" from them when the see the date on the receipt. Excellent. read more

Decided to update one of my bathrooms, and went to several different tile stores. The Tile Shop had a huge selection to choose from. They had a lot of different setups in their showroom so I was able to get design ideas. Although the The Tile Shop had a great selection for tile and we did find what we were looking for, it became a chore to get my order correct. I ordered my tile and was suppose to get bullnose tile around my window. The sales person did not order it for some reason. They forgot to deliver the shelves we order for inside the bathtub enclosure. We then ordered the bullnose tile and they gave us way too many (although we were able to return it) They didn't give us enough of the chair rail so we had to go back. Then they gave us the incorrect one so again we went back. They only gave us floor grout and way too big of a bag so we had to return that one and get wall and floor grout. I really wouldn't mind except they did not sympathize with us and we traveled pretty far to be going back and forth to get our order correct. Susan M. read more

I shopped here for a large master bathroom and another full bathroom recently. The sales staff ( Anne Marie) was very helpful and knowledgeable. She gave me a lot of time and didn't rush my selection. The manager Adam also solved a back order issue with one tile selection, the delay would have meant my contractors packing up and moving on to another job. Just went to the tile shop for the first time as I'm renovating my bathroom. It's a big, beautiful store with lots of choices. Unfortunately I found it difficult to find a salesperson, and when I did, he was quickly pulled away after showing me only 1 tile, apologized, said he would be right back, but never came back. I waited for a few minutes, looked around, then left. I've had much better service from smaller stores that I would rather give my business and hard earned money. read more

SO much to choose from, found exactly what we were looking for and every salesperson was very helpful. When my husband went in to pick up the tile we ordered (only a week later, super fast turnaround) they honored a coupon that clearly stated it was expired, which I thought was really nice and I would have understood if they couldn't have done it. Then when I went back in a week later to pick up more grout, they gave me the discounted price my husband paid for it with the expired coupon without me even asking.
