Facilities are clean and the place is managed very well. Management leave you to get on with things yourself but they keep a close eye on things. As a nervous camper, I felt very safe there. The only thing to do on the doorstep is walking/hiking, but if you have a car there are lots of nearby attractions. The Limeburners pub does great, hearty food. Their salads are warm and filling and their roasts are good. Good, but not amazing. I was surprised to find salsa-covered courgettes in my roast dinner! Puddings are to die for. Try the gingersnap basket with strawberries and ginger ince-cream and the cherry-chocolate fondant. Good prices too. Average main is about £7.
