I enjoyed the apartment, it was pretty clam while we were there. Once I had enough of the lounging and drinking I made my way down to the bottom floor where the dance floor was. Grabbed me another drink from the extremely attractive bartender and then found me a spot to watch the party goers dance their little hearts out, I eventually joined the people on the dance floor and was happy to feel like I wasn't surrounded by homophobes. The Apartment was all around cute but gives the feeling that it can be a extremely "Extra" some nights.

Instead we sweet talked "Fabrizio" from the actual line when he did approach us. We asked "how bout let us girls in and have the guys pay?" He said yes, it didn't take much for him to convince. $20 bucks for entry. Pretty standard and not that expensive compared to Vegas. We get inside and it's packed. You know that transition in temperature when you enter a club? Yep, it was sweaty and sticky when we got in there. The bar was packed. Getting a drink was nearly impossible but it happened! But wherever you go, the bar is always the challenge. I'm not complaining. But the security there. MY GOODNESS! They are VERY rude and aggressive! If you're in the way, they'll pull out of out the way or PUSH! It's border line abusive! It didn't happen to me- thank goodness. I saw it happen to other people. Just couldn't believe it. We tried to get out to the dance floor, just way too crowded. How do you dance in this?? The music was purely house- I love house. But I was simply not in the mood for this place. It wasn't my top choice but at least I got to experience it. Since it was a Saturday night, I noticed that everybody had table service and it was a TRUE hamptons crowd feel. If I'm ever in the mood for house music, this is definitely the scene. But just that night, I wasn't too into it. Good mixed crowd. There wasn't too much of any sort of one race. It was a good mix.

Kevin L. truly saved the day when I was making pseudo last minute plans to meet Prince Charming in NYC for New Year's Eve. I had a few other friends step up to help out, but how could I turn down an offer to have a one-bedroom apartment in the West Village with a view of the Empire State Building for a few days?! Yeah, total no-brainer. The building is how I would imagine most of the nicer New York apartments. There is always someone at the front desk, they accept packages (and alert you when you have them with a really cool flat screen near the mailboxes), and there is an onsite laundry facility below the lobby. The location is fabulously convenient and his apartment had a lot of great upgrades to the floor, kitchen fixtures, and bathroom. I did a lot of shopping while I was in town and the maintenance guy was super helpful when he saw I was trying to break down boxes and bags at the trash chute. Since most didn't fit, I expected to have to bring them to another floor. Nope. Not here. He gladly took them for me, which made the rest of the time I had packing a little easier.

As…read moreanyone knows who does the NYC search from afar, it is incredibly difficult to line up showings and act fast on great options. Through several initial calls, Vanessa went above and beyond to initially get to know my needs/wants in the search and would line up several showings for weekend trips I could make it up to NY. When I wasn't available to make the trip, she would go out of her way to do a virtual showings with me, even going so far to walk around the neighborhood on video so I got the lay of the land. Vanessa's reliable, calm and optimistic demeanor keep me going and ultimately we found the perfect spot. I couldn't recommend Vanessa enough and would absolutely use her for any future housing searches I have!

From day one, Alex has been nothing short of exceptional, kind, generous with his time, endlessly patient, and unbelievably knowledgeable about the NYC market. Coming from LA, we had so much to learn, and Alex guided us with grace, professionalism, and warmth. He never pressured us, always listened, educated us thoroughly, and stayed consistently positive and supportive through every twist and turn. He's not just an agent, he's a true advisor, teacher, and advocate. His attention to detail, communication skills, and deep understanding of the market are truly rare. And beyond all that, he's simply a wonderful human being we now call family, someone you instantly trust and enjoy working with. We also want to shout out Kyle Hambas, another amazing Senior member of the Lofty team, who was incredibly smart, helpful, and professional. Together, Alex and Kyle are a dream team. If you're buying or leasing in NYC, do yourself a favor, call Alex Raffa. He's the kind of person who restores your faith in what real service looks like.
