Outstanding experience with Yoreevo (Leon, Carolina, and Zac). Buying in Manhattan can be overwhelming, but they made the process feel smooth, organized, and very well-supported from start to finish. What stood out most was how invested they were in helping me find the *right* home--not just closing a deal. They helped me view a wide range of units across my target neighborhoods, which made all the difference--by the time I saw the one I ultimately bought, I was confident enough to move quickly and secure it. They were consistently responsive, thoughtful, and clearly had my best interests in mind throughout. And the rebate is real--I received my check immediately after closing, which is a meaningful bonus in a market like this. I couldn't be happier with where I landed. Highly recommend. read more

We used Yoreevo's service to sell our upper east side co-op. We worked with Leon (and Richard). They were knowledgeable, professional, and communicative. We could also get in touch with them. They clearly have their process down and it works well. Our situation was complicated in that we decided to take our co-op off the market for a while, and they were very friendly and supportive throughout the long process. Leon has a thorough and pragmatic understanding of the NYC market. We'd highly recommend working with Yoreevo! read more

Yoreevo - Real Estate Agents Near Me - New York, New York

As a first-time buyer in NYC, I couldn't have asked for a better team than Rich Gibbons and Yoreevo. Rich is kind, patient, and knowledgeable. He was always quick to respond, set up appointments right away, and when I found the apartment I wanted, I truly felt he went above and beyond as my advocate -- always with my best interests at heart. Before working with Yoreevo, I had spent over a year with another realtor at Compass (without much luck), and the difference was night and day. The service at Yoreevo is exceptional. Rich was always available, extremely accommodating, and simply a pleasure to work with. I never felt rushed, whether on the phone or at an appointment. Their referrals were also invaluable -- I was thrilled with the attorney I hired, and very happy with the inspector, moving company and cleaning service they recommended. Carolina also guided me through the board package and interview prep with precision and care. There were a few hurdles along the way with the building I was buying in, but Rich and my attorney, Eugene, handled them seamlessly. Even in stressful moments, I felt I had the absolute best team behind me -- and in the end, we renegotiated the price and secured a $40K reduction! And then there's the rebate: I received $11,500 back at closing! Getting that kind of savings on top of such expert service makes working with Yoreevo a complete no-brainer. If you're buying in NYC, I cannot recommend Rich, Leon, Carolina, and the entire Yoreevo team enough. They're responsive, supportive, genuinely kind, and 100% on your side from start to finish. The whole experience felt full-service and even a bit luxurious in terms of the level of attention and care you receive. 10/10 Recommend!!!! read more

Have bought and sold numerous apartments and homes. My experience with Yoreevo and its agents Leon Goldfeld and Rich Gibbons was exceptional. Our experience in purchasing our Chelsea condo was smooth and professional from start to finish and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. And on top of it, we received a $28k rebate off the purchase price! Thank you Yoreevo - let's do it again sometime. read more

If you're looking to buy in New York, don't even bother going with anyone else but Yoreevo. James, Rich, and their team are the best-in-class in the business. I bought my first (!) place ever and I don't think I could have done it without the Yoreevo team. James was there every step of the way -- from viewing the listings/weighing the pros and cons of each, board package, and walkthrough -- I felt so supported throughout the process. James and his team keep it real while really breaking down this jargon-filled and crazy real estate world in a way that normal people can understand. Yoreevo is the gold star standard for customer service and being a trusted real estate advisor. The rebate model is one of the biggest perks of working with Yoreevo. The hidden costs to buy add up, and it definitely helped to feel like there was a check at the end of the tunnel to cover some of those ridiculous closing costs. TLDR: If you're buying, do it with Yoreevo. You'll get everything you need throughout the process and it makes the home buying process more enjoyable/less painful. Also, once you get to the close, you may get a water bottle... having cool swag is the cherry on top. read more

I used Yoreevo's service for purchasing my condo in Midtown NYC recently, and it has been a great experience. Thank you to Leon, Zac, and the rest of the Yoreevo team for their help on this! The team is very organized. There is a specific team member for scheduling viewings, and Leon and Zac took me to see the apartments. They handled all the communication with the seller side and helped with submitting my offers. Then they connected me to lawyers and a specific team member to help me with my board package application. They are extremely transparent and informative when it comes to explaining the entire buying process. I was able to close just within two months! There is also a rebate when working with Yoreevo! This is definitely a huge perk, and can help with lowering the cost of purchase. Don't lose out on the rebate when purchasing! You get the rebate promptly after closing. Definitely recommend Yoreevo! read more

I dealt with James and Yoreevo back in 2017 and 2018. James was great and he's always super professional and courteous and not to mention beyond respectful. He would remove his shoes when entering your soon to be home and he's always readily available for you. The service is impeccable and it's so great that Yoreevo even offers a rebate, which indicates they have great business ethics and customer service. I cannot recommend James and Yoreevo enough. He's so wonderful to deal with and you don't feel like you got scammed like other firms. He works very hard and is super attentive for the money that you pay! read more

I used services of Yoreevo for selling my Co-op apartment in West Village. I'm super happy and impressed working with James and Paula. They both were very dedicated in every step of the process, always available when needed either through email or phone. I was living in the apartment at the time of listing and they worked with my schedule for showings and open houses. They found me a great offer within one week of listing, which I accepted. Everything went very smooth throughout. They worked with the buyers agent and also send the buyer all necessary documents for co-op board approval and made sure the buyer had everything they needed. In short, they were really on top of everything throughout the process. The team is very knowledgeable in co-op sales in New York city. I also used an attorney recommend by Yoreevo and they were very good as well. The pictures and 3D walkthrough that the team took for the posting were also amazing. I have to mention its incredible how much they do for 1% of listing price as commission. I'm very happy that I choose Yorrevo to sell my apartment and will definitely work with Yoreevo for future sale/purchase of apartments. read more

I don't often write reviews, but working with Yoreevo and James McGrath was hands-down the best decision my husband and I made as first-time buyers in NYC. We recently closed on a co-op on the Upper West Side, and James and his team were a huge help throughout the entire (four-month!) process -- from putting in our offer to assembling the daunting, several-hundred-page board package to the final walkthrough. James was incredibly responsive (even on nights and weekends), friendly, knowledgeable and organized throughout, helping us navigate speed bumps from both the co-op's management company and our lender with ease. The 2% rebate was really the cherry on top of it all, especially since closing costs in this city can be considerable (to put it lightly). There are so many aspects of the NYC real estate market that desperately need disrupting, and James and his team are showing how's it done. In short, I couldn't recommend Yoreevo more. Stellar service plus cash back at closing? They're truly the best in the game. read more

As first time homebuyers, my boyfriend and I had no idea what we were getting into. We googled for real estate agencies and were excited to find Yoreevo and learn about the commission rebate. We were matched with James, who was responsive, tactful, and very patient throughout our year-long process (including one accepted offer that didn't make it to contract). James is knowledgeable about every area of home buying, from interest rate trends to board application packages. Often we would ask a question only to find out that James had already written a thorough article on the topic for Yoreevo's blog. We wholeheartedly recommend James and Yoreevo for any real estate transaction you may have! read more

I highly, highly recommend working with Yoreevo and James McGrath for your condo/coop purchase. I am a first time buyer and just completed a purchase in downtown Manhattan - guided by James throughout the process. Not only does their buyer's rebate save you tens of thousands of dollars, but James provides amazing service. He is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, no nonsense, and detail oriented. I especially appreciated his explaining concepts and valuations using quantitative and market-based models, which helped guide decisions in a rational, number-driven framework. Prior to meeting James, I had some negative experiences with other agents. I felt they provided little to no value, which led me to continue my search on my own without an agent. By chance, I learned that buyers in NY can ask their agent for a commission rebate - something that surprisingly few buyers know - and as I looked into the details of this I connected with James, and quickly realized that his approach is far better than my previous experiences. James is just incredibly competent and focused on the needs of his clients. After I started working with James, my search stretched out well over two years, evolving along the way. Throughout that entire time James maintained his patient, no pressure approach, even as we looked at building after building (eventually spanning many many dozens of apartments). When I finally reached the stage of making offers, James walked me through the process and provided valuable guidance and market insight. Yoreevo is truly as good as it sounds - you save 2% of your purchase price and also get superior service! read more

The first thing to know about working with Yoreevo is that there is no catch. It is at least as good as working with any other real estate agent except you get a fat check in the end. During the buying process, they made suggestions on apartment listings and came with me to the viewings. During the negotiation, they provided comps and solid recommendations. Once our offer was accepted, they suggested attorneys and mortgage lenders/brokers and worked with them and me until closing. Once we closed, they sent me a check for 2% of the purchase price (it cleared!). I talked to 3 other agents before settling on Yoreevo: 1/ Hauseit/Homedax. Similar to Yoreevo in that they also return 2% on closing, but unlike Yoreevo, you don't know ahead of time who your agent will be as it could be any of their 20 agents (my understanding is Prevu operates in a similar way, but I didn't talk with them). I didn't like not know who I would work with, so I passed. For reference, since the Hauseit vs. Homedax thing can be confusing, here is what they told me. Hauseit is the marketed company name that they use to source clients, but when they go out with clients to make offers on homes, they use the Homedax name. They say that is because seller's agent can be biased against buyers that work with companies that take less than 3% fees and since Homedax is not directly associated with the 2% rebates, it avoids that issue. I was skeptical, but whatever. 2/ An independent real estate agent that was intimately familiar with the area I was looking to buy. I think that if you aren't getting a significant rebate, this is the best option, particularly if you don't know the area. I wanted to stay in the same neighborhood I was living, so I passed. 3/ Compass. Most listing seem to come from Compass in my area (Park Slope) and it is possible that buyers working with Compass agents could get a head start on some new listing, but if that happens, it really isn't in the best interest of the sellers, so I can't imagine it happens that often. Pass. In the end, 2% back sealed the deal, and knowing that I would work directly with one of the founders, Leon and James, sweetened it. I personally worked with Leon as well as Paula and both were very responsive and were just nice. Thanks for everything! read more

I can't say enough of how awesome Leon and the entire Yoreevo team was. Not only do you get a rebate check at the end, but the service was far better than any traditional real estate office. Yoreevo - Real Estate Agents Near Me - New York, New York

We worked with Ali for over 18 months before and during the coronavirus pandemic. She was not our first agent in the 5 years we have been searching. But she was the best one. Yoreevo is a great online platform working for the 21st Century and beyond. I was able to find listings, get into showings, and concierge service especially as we navigated putting in offers and dealing with crazy sellers. While I hope I do not sell my new home, if I do I would choose Yoreevo again. Rebate helps with closing costs but the bigger benefits are the staff and technology. Love working with you guys! read more

Paula helped me navigate the challenge of finding a 2-bedroom Manhattan apartment. She was professional, patient, diligent, honest, and brimming with information. After a long search, I finally closed on a coop. The team helped me navigate some real curveballs thrown at me during the coop interview process. I'm quite thankful to them! I will think about using Yoreevo in the future when I need to buy or sell. read more

We came across Yoreevo as we were searching for coops and found some of Yoreevo's helpful blog posts and videos on the home buying process. The rebate was definitely the main factor and final selling point for choosing Yoreevo as our broker. During the process, James was great at listening to our needs and what we were searching for. Once we found a place we wanted, he coordinated with the buyer's agent and our attorney to negotiate and put in our offer, which was acceptd. The team at Yoreevo, especially Carolina, made the coop application process much easier. They organized all the requirements and helped get our documents in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Yoreevo for anyone looking for a broker. read more

The Yoreevo team was an amazing help with helping us close on our new apartment. They were there for any and all questions and held our hand along the way as it was my first time going through this process. Yoreevo was a great find and I'm extremely glad I used them with my first apartment purchase in Manhattan. The entire process was seamless and straightforward across their team. Leon, Ali and Rich at Yoreevo were efficient, straightforward and upfront with expectations, which was great for a first time buyer. They were extremely responsive and transparent through the process, which was especially helpful for a first time buyer. Everything across the entire process was seamless. When I eventually do plan to sell and buy again, I'll certainly use Yoreevo again. I had absolutely no issues and would highly recommend for a thoughtful, smart and efficient team. Nothing but good things to say about the company and its team. read more

We have a fabulous experience with Richard Skinner as our agent! He was as knowledgeable as a lawyer, super sharp, and energetic, providing us with comps and valuable information about every property we looked at. Richard wanted to make sure that we were happy with our purchase, rather than emphasizing the short term goal of agent commission, which is more often the case. After the contract, as promised, we received the rebate check. Yoreevo has a top notch reputation for good reason: They keep their word. They are ethical and they are knowledgeable about the market. I would highly recommend them! read more

I started my search to buy my first condo apartment in Manhattan with Yoreevo in spring of 2021, with an aggressive goal of being in contract within 2 months. I'm writing this review about 3 months after closing. I'm the type of person who wants to do my own extensive and comprehensive search of listings on the market, instead of relying on someone else, especially given how easy it is to search/filter online these days. I know my preferences best and what trade-offs make the most sense to me. I was in shock when I learned that in NYC, essentially every real estate transaction has a licensed seller's and buyer's broker whose fees are predetermined as ~3% each (essentially 6% if the buyer doesn't have a broker since the seller's broker by default then also takes on the role of the buyer's broker). If I was going to do most of the search work myself anyway, what was I paying the buyer's broker to really do? I had talked to Leon, one of Yoreevo's cofounders, and the business purpose and backstory of wanting to disrupt an unreasonable real estate market resonated a lot with me. 2% cash rebate is a huge part in doing that, and the way they make it work is by: reducing the fluff, supporting buyers where it matters, being more of a volume-based business, and spending most of their time servicing clients (not trying to find new ones). In particular, Yoreevo scheduled and coordinated viewings based on listings I provided them (this would have been a huge pain to do myself, especially during COVID when I was trying to fit in up to 9 viewings in a single day), provided comps within 24 hours of identifying a property to put an offer down for had a video conference to discuss offer considerations, suggested attorneys/insurance/title companies (not at all pushy), and support to compile all necessary documents for the offer package and board application. I mainly worked with Paula and Leon, and they felt like true professional partners throughout the process. They were very knowledgeable, passionate about their work, and down to earth. Given the volume-based business, they are involved in many more deals per month than the typical broker, so they had a lot of experience (and market data/analyses) but at the same time didn't try to act like they could predict everything 100%. They were responsive, very honest and gave us their thoughts based on experience and recent anecdotes without being pushy. While Leon/Paula couldn't be there for every viewing (they had their own open houses at the same time), they did make sure to be there at the first few to make sure the right questions were being asked, and share their opinions. By the time they couldn't be there, I was comfortable handling the viewings without them. Nonetheless, when they did have some free time, they still made sure to come at the scheduled time to see apartments together. Everything through and after closing went very smoothly. I got the big rebate check in the mail (flexible options) within a few business days after closing and it all landed in my bank account safe and sound. Even in retrospect, Yoreevo seems like just the right working model for me and I would go back to them again. TL;DR: Good service, save thousands of dollars, not a scam :) read more

As first time buyer sin NYC, we were terrified -- and with good reason! Were it not for the folks at Yoreevo I am not sure we would have gotten through it. We couldn't have been happier with Yoreevo. Excellent, friendly and attentive service from Leon and his team. They helped our transaction move efficiently and effectively. And then there is a hugely helpful rebate at the end! Not sure why anyone would go anywhere else. Thanks again. read more

I had an excellent experience purchasing my apartment with Yoreevo. Leon was a pleasure to work with which stood in stark contrast to my past experiences with real estate professionals in New York. He listened to exactly what we were looking for and made sure to find listings that were worth our time. His feedback along the entire process was honest and at not point did I ever feel like he didn't have our interests at heart. He and James made us feel like we were their only priority. We have recommended Yoreevo to friends who were also successful in their apartment search and had the same high praise we did. The main selling point of Yoreevo is obviously the partial commission rebate, and it sure was nice to leave the closing with a check of my own, but I would recommend Yoreevo even without that much appreciated bonus. Leon and James were fantastic people to work with and if I ever decide to buy or sell again I will 100% work with them a 2nd time. read more

Home buying experience at Yoreevo was very different from other brokers I previously talked to - in a good way. Yoreevo pinpointed the essential parts of a home buying process and focused on them, removing unnecessary communications and persuasions buyers' agents often have. Thorough help through each part of the home buying process and quick response on question/request of any topic. In the beginning I chose them because of the rebate but at the end rebate was just something extra, their quality of service is what really sells. read more

I have never written a Yelp review before - but I have also never felt a greater desire to compliment a company's service before. If you are coming from outside New York and new to its very complicated real estate market, you are going to need a knowledgeable and responsive guide. James was absolutely spectacular - the hands down most responsive agent I have ever worked with. He guided us through the purchase of a co-op in Midtown - a process that took 7 months from first look to closing. He never faltered, never tired of our questions, and responded to any email query literally before I could put the phone away. Without his help, I don't think we could have done this. There are simply too many "surprises" along the way that can derail the process. His rebate was nice, but I would have gladly paid full price for his services. I literally cannot recommend him highly enough. And that is why I am writing this first-ever yelp review at 70 years old. read more

We had an excellent experience with James and Leon as they helped us to purchase our first condo in NYC. James was responsive, helpful and patient, and guided us through all the steps of an otherwise onerous and complex process. We asked for recommendations for numerous ancillary vendors (lawyers, inspectors, etc.) and were satisfied with each one that James suggested. Most importantly, the team at Yoreevo set expectations early and clearly, were upfront and transparent about their fee structure, and never engaged in any form of high-pressure sales tactics. We felt that we were dealing with a business we could trust, whose incentives were well-aligned with us. We would not hesitate to engage Yoreevo on another real estate transaction in the future. read more

Ali and Leon at Yoreevo made buying our first condo in Manhattan so much easier than it would have been without them. We highly recommend Yoreevo! It was an extreme pleasure working with Leon. Yoreevo was an amazing find! When we decided to buy an apartment in NYC, we had no idea where to start. We found Yoreevo, but it seemed too good to be true. But I called the phone number on their website, I spoke immediately one of their agents named Leon. He walked me through their approach, and we were in. We connected Ali, their UES expert, and got fantastic service. Everything we could possibly have asked for: advice, flexibility, responsiveness. Honestly, she was fantastic. Once we made an offer, Rich guided us through the co-op application process with expertise and precision. We've heard horror stories about buying in NYC, but our experience was so so smooth. Yoreevo's team is top of the line. Leon & Paula are no BS, no pressure, tech savvy individuals that supported us through the whole process of buying our Condo in Chelsea, NYC. They are ultra responsive and play a very different game than old school brokers. The effort a typical broker would allocate to customer acquisition they allocate to customer satisfaction and expect that word-of-mouth plus the more competitive biz model they offer will take care of the customer funnel. We are first time homebuyers and came across Yoreevo when we found a coop apartment we loved and felt ready to take next steps. We talked to a number of buyers agents and one thing that stuck out to us was Yoreevo's ability to explain the process, without making us feel ignorant. A lot of other agents assumed we knew how home buying worked, so we left many of those conversations with a lot more questions. But after speaking with Yoreevo, we felt better equipped with the knowledge to make an offer and trusted them to advocate for us over the next few months. We were not disappointed - we worked with Ali Shulman and she was so organized, super communicative and there for us at all hours if we needed anything. Absolutely 5 stars! Can you believe you only pay 1/3 of the fees for even better-than-normal service? James represents us as the buyer's agent and we purchased a condo in Flatiron District. James is a wizard. He knows every detail about almost anything related to apartment purchases. We think he provides more help than a traditional agency. From a finance background, I never believed free lunch exists, but working with Yoreevo is a free lunch! (better service but with huge fee cut) I can't think of a reason anyone should choose a traditional agency instead of Yoreevo.
