As first-time apartment buyers in NYC, we couldn't have asked for a better realtor than Christos Drakakis. Our purchase was far from simple--the building is part of HDFC, which came with many nuances, requirements, and a mountain of paperwork. Christos was absolutely instrumental in guiding us through every step. He was incredibly attentive, always responsive (no matter the time of day), and made sure every detail and follow-up was handled on time. Christos kept us informed, explained everything with patience, and answered our many questions thoroughly. Thanks to his dedication and professionalism, what could have been a stressful and overwhelming process became manageable--and ultimately successful. If you're looking for someone knowledgeable, proactive, and truly committed to his clients' success, we wholeheartedly recommend Christos. He made all the difference in getting us across the finish line. read more

Mohammed did a great job as our agent. It wasn't perfect, but since we were not physically present in NYC, his help with our former tenants, and our moving folks, and also building management, was invaluable. He truly went above and beyond. HomeDax as a service- you kinda get what you pay for... But in NYC, for most transactions, it's probably plenty. I'd use them again. Certainly a money saving option... and the result will likely be the exact same if you paid more. read more

With Adam's help, my wife and I recently closed on the purchase of a brownstone in Brooklyn. Not only is Adam a great person and a pleasure to work with, he is extremely knowledgeable, professional, responsive and thoughtful in his approach to the purchase process. From the start, it was clear that Adam placed our best interest above all. Adam provided invaluable perspective on the state of the market, as well as the properties we were viewing. He was also extremely thoughtful and calculated when it came down to negotiating the purchase price. We truly felt like we had a partner and an advocate in Adam from the moment we met, to the day we moved into our new home. Lastly, in a fast paced, and at times chaotic market, Adam remained steady and removed a lot of the stress that can come with purchasing a new home. I would recommend him to any and all. He's Thank you so much Adam - we appreciate everything you did for us! read more

Was a first-time homebuyer looking for a 1-br Queens co-op (i.e. not a Manhattan brownstone!) who landed with Adam at HomeDax, and couldn't have been more satisfied. Adam brought me through every step of the process, from the initial search, through getting an attorney and a pre-purchase inspection, making an offer, waiting (and waiting!) as my special mortgage circumstances resolved, to the board interview, setting up homeowner's insurance, and all the way through final closing. Adam was consistently responsive, friendly, supportive, and informative from start to finish - I felt like I was getting the brownstone white-glove treatment regardless of my circumstances. Writing this from my new apartment - Thank you, Adam! read more

We've worked with HomeDax and Mohammed for three occasions: two purchases and one sale. In each instance they have worked very hard on behalf of us and sometime even go above and beyond to handled things that are not within their responsibilities. They were every on top of things and responsive. They helped us navigate through the difficult NYC market during the pandemic for over two years without complaints and were able to close the deal as soon as possible. Their prices are also very competitive, for buyers and sellers alike. I cannot be happier with them and would not hesitate to work with them again. read more

This is my second time working with Christos from HomeDax and both experiences have been fantastic! He first helped us find a tenant for our condo, handling all the formalities in the process, including the move in and out inspections. He even got us rent (multiple offers) above our ask. He then helped us sell the condo, again helping negotiate a great price and managing all related formalities, which was super helpful since we lived 3+ hours away. He also showed great composure and patience dealing with some difficult situations during the process. He's very open & clear in his communication, and very knowledgeable about the market & easy to work with. I would work again with Christos without hesitation! read more

I had a great experience working with the HomeDax team, especially Nick Oliver and Arissa Ifill, on the listing and sale of my Coop apartment. For the professionalism, timeliness, great communication, competitive pricing, I would highly recommend the HomeDax team to any friend in the process of looking to buy or sell an apartment. Wanted to take the time to share some observations I made during my process: - Responsiveness: after my initial appointment with Nick, he took photos / 3d tour of my apartment, got the paperwork done, and listing went live the next day, complete with virtual staging. Nick is one of the few people I've worked with who has consistently replied to my emails / inquiries within the same day, which I really appreciate and respect. - Professionalism: the time when I listed (Aug 2020) was one of the worst times for showings, as NYC just re-opened the real estate showing policy, and market had just started to recover. Despite the challenges, Arissa was able to consistently show the apartment every week in person, to the point my building doorman all knew her. For each potential buyer, Arissa documented in a Google Sheet with their interest level and concise feedback, followed up patiently and updated me regularly on the status. While I was traveling abroad, Arissa helped coordinate calls, visits, paperwork between agents, building staff, management office, which I was really impressed with, and demonstrated the degree of professionalism which earned my trust. - Strategy: Nick and Arissa arranged strategy calls with me at key points in the process, to understand my needs and thoughts, and gave me great advice on dealing with several offers we had received. As a result, things moved quickly and in the end I had a satisfactory combination of offer price and timing. read more

Adam Glaser represented us as a buyer's broker. He is responsive, trustworthy, and quite attentive to our requests during the whole closing process. Our mortgage lender unexpectedly delayed in producing a commitment letter, for multiple weeks, due to some personnel issues on their end, which resulted in quite a few more back and forth with the seller's broker, and attorneys from both sides, in terms of coordination. Adam was very understanding and worked diligently with all parties involved, and helped us navigate the situation smoothly till the deal was closed on time. He even came to the closing meeting and gave us a bottle of champagne! I would definitely recommend him to anyone hunting for a good broker in NYC. read more

Christos Drakakis from HomeDax represented us on the sale of our apartment and purchase of a new home. I give my highest recommendation to use his services and that of Homedax. He was professional and calm throughout the entire cycle - from listing photos through to closing - and was always acting proactively in our interests providing helpful advice, updates and suggestions. He was always available when needed and handled many of the obstacles we encountered with a measured and warm approach. After listing our apartment and the open house we had a solid offer within a week, which he skillfully negotiated. At the same time he negotiated an excellent price on the apartment we purchased. This came after he had chauffeured us around town for viewings, which were coordinated efficiently. Chris is a no-nonsense, straight forward and honest broker. He is very trustworthy and went well beyond our expectations. In the end we got a great result on both transactions and he got both deals done within a tight deadline, saving us a lot of money. Don't waste your time with the usual brokers who promise a lot but underdeliver, give Chris a call! read more

I worked with Lahtifa and HomeDax to buy a co-op apartment in NYC. As a first time home buyer, they were helpful in explaining the ins and outs of buying in a co-op. My schedule for closing was a long shot, but Lahtifa's timeliness contributed to it being met. read more

Purchasing a home is difficult on its own. Add a pandemic with a hot seller's market into the mix and it becomes even more challenging. Thankfully, we were lucky enough to work with a realtor who had our best interest at heart. Christos Drakakis from Homedax Real Estate supported us as first time home buyers. He took time to help us understand the process, answering all of our questions. Christos was patient with us, showing us all the houses we were interested in and providing comps that fit what we were looking for. When there were bumps in the road he checked in to see if we were ok, helped move the process along by working with the lawyers, seller's agent and any other parties involved. There was a moment when a house we were closing on fell through due to terms that were not fair to a buyer. Although our hearts were set on that house, Christos helped us stay level headed pointing out items that could pose issues for us in the future. There are not enough kind words for me to share regarding the support my family received from Christos and Homedax Real Estate. The process from first inquiry to closing went smoothly and was fully supported at every step of the way. read more

I had the absolute pleasure of working with my real estate agent, Adam Glaser. Adam represented myself and my parents from beginning-to-end of the process. We were in the market to buy our first property in NYC. That in of itself is an already confusing ordeal, but from my initial call with Adam, he showed the utmost patience and knowledge of the real estate market as a whole. It was a 6 month process and Adam accompanied my family and I to view listings and we never felt any pressure from him to buy a property - he genuinely wanted the best for my family and I. Adam was always available to jump on a quick call to talk through any hesitations or worries I've had and has always made it a point to ensure that I understood where I was in every step of the home buying process. Adam was very helpful and knowledgeable in guiding us through the home buying experience. Through the hot real estate market during the Covid season we saw many houses. Top marks for Chris Drakakis across the board! He continuously demonstrated the highest level of professionalism and thorough knowledge of the home purchase process. When I was considering a house that had more than a few problems, he encouraged me to be patient and continue looking. When we found something that matched virtually all of my preferences, he noticed a small defect in the yard that, after he interviewed the tenants, turned out to be a deal-breaking liability the seller was hiding. Ultimately, after finding an ideal home, he negotiated a price significantly below list price in a sellers market. I cannot recommend Chris highly enough. read more

My family and I began the process of buying a home late last year. At the very beginning we met with numerous real estate agents, all of them left much to be desired. They seemed to only be interested in steering me towards their own listings (therefore doubling their commission). Fortunately I found HomeDax, and couldn't have been more pleased. I worked with both Nicholas Oliver and Elisa Flores. However, I primarily worked with Ms. Flores. I'm the type of buyer who obsessively checks real estate listings, researches each property extensively, and knows every single home for sale in the area. At this stage I primarily needed showings to be arranged. Elisa was quick and prompt in setting these up for me. When it came time to start putting in offers Elisa's advice was invaluable. We were putting in somewhat lowball offers and Elisa helped us greatly in keeping our offers from being insulting. We lost many bidding wars to cash buyers and began to get discouraged. Elisa urged us forward and we continued to look. We found an amazing home in Woodside Queens and started making offers. Despite being rejected the first time Elisa gave us excellent advice on what to counteroffer and offer was accepted. The day we were to sign the contract the sellers pulled out of the deal for a cash offer. My wife and I were crushed. Elisa saved the day with perfect advice on how to lure the sellers back in. It worked and today we are in the process of moving into our new home! I have only good things to say about Elisa and the HomeDax team. read more
