I have no idea why this firm has so many positive reviews. I initially spoke on the phone with Nick, who seemed nice and willing to help, but then I was assigned to Chris, and it quickly went downhill from there. For starters, Chris told me he'd reached out to listing agents to set up viewings, but after hearing no response about any of the condos I was interested in, I followed up with him via text. He told me that he was still waiting to hear back. I followed up with him a few more times over the next few days, and he kept saying that he'd emailed and called the listing agents but that they were all either unavailable or had said the owner decided to pull the unit off the market. I thought it was strange that I couldn't get appts scheduled for any of the condos I wanted to see, so I tried calling Chris, but he didn't pick up the first few times (I also got an automated Google Voice message asking me to state my name every time I called him, which was weird). When he finally answered my call, he sounded a bit annoyed and basically said he couldn't do anything when the listing agents weren't responding to him. Exasperated, I decided to call up one of the listing agents. She picked up right away, and when I told her that my agent Chris had been trying to get a hold of her, she said that she'd tried calling him back but he never answered (and she said she too felt a bit weirded out by the automated Google Voice message). She also told me that he never emailed her either. Around the same time, I found out that another condo that Chris had told me was off the market was still available for showing. So I emailed HomeDax and basically told them I didn't want to work with them anymore. It was only after I'd sent that email that Chris bothered to call me. I was actually viewing a condo when he called so I couldn't pick up, but I kind of wanted to call him back and be like, "Why didn't you answer my calls before when I actually needed your help with setting up viewing appointments?" Anyway, definitely don't recommend this firm. You're much better off going with a real estate firm you've actually heard of. read more
