We love to stop in for a drink at the Terrace Lounge after we visit Carmel. The views of the iconic 18th hole at Pebble Beach are stunning. And you can pretty much just walk through and seat yourself at any open spot on the balcony. The service is a little hit or miss out here, but this spot is really all about the atmosphere. We enjoyed a glass of Prosecco, an old fashioned, and a cappuccino. No complaints. We relaxed and took in the beautiful view before us. This expedience gives you a little taste of luxury without the price tag (unless that's what you are going for -those more pricey options are absolutely on offer here too). I expect we'll be back next time we make our annual visit to Carmel/Monterey.

We had a great waitress named Nancy who was attentive and took great care of us. We enjoyed a dozen oysters which in my opinion could have had a little better delivery. We were not told what the "sauces" were and there was not a shell bowl. The young guy Simply placed the platter of oysters down and walked away. The chocolate dessert is amazing!!! We sat inside and the views over the 18th hole are spectacular!

Wanted to see the Lounge makeover at PB. My grandson also thought it would be a good idea to grab a Coke and some fries. We're local so we made the 5 minute trip to the Lodge Warp Speed 9. Unfortunately the service in the Lounge left a lot to be desired. First the good stuff -- spectacular Ocean views and a lovely sitting area, larger tables and seating everywhere. A lovely menu of drinks, wine, smaller bites but more than enough indulge in tasty morsels. We sat for at least 10 minutes without any recognition for any of the 4-5 servers. We finally flagged one down and asked to see a menu. It amazes me ( but shouldn't) that the attitude of the servers is "don't care" " I'd rather play with my phone" than take care of you. A 5 star resort should be on its toes 100% not like these folks. So I ordered the fries for grandson, along with a coke and a glass of wine for me. 15 minutes later the fried arrive, no drinks. We both tasted the fries and they were cold. Like they'd been sitting for an hour. Still no drinks, and no server-- so I get up walk to the bar at the other end and politely inquired, "had you maybe forgotten our drinks?" The bar tender points to the side, where the waiter is standing and says, "No they are right here"-- well they were but weren't being delivered. Then the bar tender makes a smile as laughs as he says something to the server. At which point I say, " is there something funny how this?" Bartender catches himself and says something I didn't understand. I left to go back to seating area while our drinks were being dispatched. Look, hotels are in the Service business. Just because this place is filled with Tourists doesn't mean staff can be rude, I'd have given the experience a "2" but I'm a sucker for the views.

We came for the views but unfortunately the view was obstructed by some golf tournament structures. But if you come on a good day, I'd recommend getting some cocktails here. They're about 16-24 per drink, so pricy but reasonable. My drinks were pretty good but nothing amazing. Got a drink that was basically a Moscow mule but with pear juice. Also got a boozy hot cocoa. My bf got a berry cocktail that was good to him but strong for me

We visited the Terrace Lounge which is located at the Lodge at Pebble Beach for a much needed break and light bites. The Terrace overlooks the Lodge's iconic 18th hole with remarkable ocean views. PRO TIP: The 17-Mile Drive admission fee will be reimbursed with a purchase of $35 or more at all Pebble Beach Resorts restaurants, excluding Pebble Beach Market. We ordered the Classic Stillwater Burger, Shrimp Rolled Tacos, and Avocado Tostada to share. To my understanding, the menu changes seasonally. There are a few items that stay all year round. My favorite is the Avocado Tostada-- it's a light and vibrant dish with a wonderful balance in texture. Our waitress was thoughtful and incredibly friendly. We got the 17-Mile Drive admission fee taken off of our final bill which was nice. Although the food was good, I think the true wow factor is the incredible ambiance and spectacular views of the ocean and golf course!

    Crab grilled cheese- so good!!

You can't beat the amazing view and ambiance. 10000% recommended to stop and get a drink and appetizers. I had some wine and we split the truffle fries which were amazing. But the best food was the grilled crab cheese, for some dumb reason on our part we didn't think it would be grilled cheese but let me tell you- best grilled cheese ever! The bread is perfectly toasted, decent amount of crab and sautéed onions with an aioli I think drizzled on top. Service was slow but of course it is so you can soak in the views and drinks/food.

Came here after a long day touring Monterey. This lounge is located in the Lodge at Pebble beach, which is within the 17 mile drive at the south end (near Carmel). Keep in mind that you do have to pay admission to the 17 mile drive to get into this area, if you're not staying in this restricted area. We wanted a place to rest and stumbled across the lounge as we were walking out to the terrace. They have food, drinks and dessert to offer while you enjoy the view of the golf course and ocean view. We ordered the mojito, French press coffee, and fondue dessert. All were perfect and we relaxed on their comfy couches while sipping our drinks. The most memorable part of their fondue was the edible gold lined edible chocolate and the brûlée'd bananas that came with other assorted fruits and desserts to dip. This was the perfect end to our trip and made it so much more memorable!

A rare outing this past weekend led us to The Terrace Lounge at The Lodge on a beautiful sunny calm day with an expansive view of the pacific. Unfortunately our visit started off on a wrong foot when the hostess at the restaurant entrance assumed we were gawking tourists and without asking where we wanted to go informed us this was not the way to the outside ( I was confused as the balcony, where one of our party was waiting at a table already, was 20 ft from us across the dining room in full view ) and she directed us to go out, down the hall to some stair with no elevator and ... whatever. Left a bad taste for the whole lunch wondering who else was going to profile us. When have hostesses stopped asking "how can I help you?" or "are you here for lunch?" Luckily we could explain in time before we started her goose chase and ended up on the lovely balcony outdoors with sun umbrella shaded seats as well as sunny seats according to everyone's wishes. Note: in colder weather the middle of the table can be turned into a gas fire pit - a nice touch. Lunch was good. We shared a good sized fried calamari appetizer with light batter and a black squid ink sauce that raised it up a bit out of the ordinary. The Dungeness crab cake was authentic with a bit of coleslaw and a (kind of bland) green sauce (but had to ask for lemon slices - which came promptly), the fish and chips were nice with a light crispy batter, the 'chips' flavored with herbs and an okay Tatar sauce, the Dungeness crab salad is a nice size portion with fresh lettuce and veg, boiled egg and house made 1000 Island dressing on the side, the fried chicken sandwich is fresh and a nice size. We had a birthday girl amongst us and a small beautifully decorated ( including a candle ) one portion chocolate mousse cake came with forks for all for sharing - delicious ! Service was attentive though a couple times a bit slow ( coffee came late but then a whole thermos pitcher ) - no wonder as the service needs to walk the whole balcony every time to get to the kitchen ! not the most efficient ). Servers all wearing masks and gloves - other patrons not really wearing masks ( most not at all total time of sitting and often not when standing either ) - did notice on the putting green that no one was adhering to the sign posting mandatory masks and social distancing. Prices are on the high side ( were not charged for the birthday cake - a nice surprise ! ) but not so unreasonable considering the view. It's a bit of a walk (200yds?) from the visitor's parking but appears there is a way to drop people off at the door. Except for our initial greeting + non Covid-adherence, an okay experience.

Calamari, Cheese Plate (small), Crab Grill Cheese, Yellow Fin Tuna Tartar!!! CRAB GRILL CHEESE IS AMAZING!!!!

I didn't want to make a scene or tell m6 guest that my real opinion about their service and especially about their culinary selections. the first bad impression, was the broccolini was way under cooked and s stringy, that my knife wouldn't even cut through any part of it. then the rainbow potatoes were tasteless and dry. the next dish was the wild rice dish, very under and under seasoned. I next had the roasted leg of lamb. the carving chef gave me a piece of gristle that came off of the joint of the upper shank and the hip bone, and he didn't even offer to slice it thinner, he just gave me a chunk of meat that was gristley and the toughest and most tasteless leg of lamb I've ever had. the waiter didn't even offer a steak knife for me to slice my lamb.then I went over to the filet mignon roast. what a very disappointment roast that was. it was so overdone and dry, even their horseradish sauce didn't help it at all. then I went over to their highly advertised seafood bar. I had three fresh oysters with their vinaigrette sauce and tobacco, it was ok, but very warm and not chilled enough at all. the artichoke and lobster salad was very disappointing, out of that whole salad display I could see only three tiny pieces of lobster and five pieces of artichokes. I have no idea who's idea it was to serve egg salad with caviar. terrible combination. now on to the fresh baked beads and fruit display. the rolls were cold and tough, the fruit display was very sad. who serves fresh papayas with their shells on it if you're paying $212.00 for a high end meal. and the kiwis were sliced two days ahead of time and were mushy, stuck together and terrible. I just took one look at the pasta station, and just walked away from it. not very appetizing at all. the biggest disappointment was when they advertised king crab legs, and not one piece was in sight! that was the main reason I went there. FOR SPENDING OVER $200.00 AT THE LODGE IN PEBBLE BEACH, I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND OR RETURN THERE AGAIN! I hope management reads this and talks to everyone involved in the choices and the choices of their kitchen staff from the executive chef to the carving station employees. oh, and to top it off, I ordered a cup of coffee with cream! my cream was curdled! the waiter didn't even offer replacement my coffee with a fresh cup of coffee, but I had lost my appetite for dessert! my total bill for an unforgettable meal was over $800.00!

But one kind server can't make up for what was coming out of the kitchen. We played it safe and both ordered the chicken piccata. Big mistake. What arrived was one of the most depressing plates I've seen in a while: basic-béarnaise sauce dumped on top of chicken. Not piccata. Not even close. Just... butter sauce on chicken. This is a meal I'll be thinking about for a long time, and not in a good way. It's genuinely sad to see a restaurant with this much going for it just completely blow it. Cypress Inn deserves better. Carmel deserves better. Skip Terry's and eat literally anywhere else.
