This trip, we enjoyed a milkshake, Skinny Fries (they were out of poutine), Noah's Ark, and Breakfast Monster. The house bbq sauce was chosen to accompany the fries: not my favorite bbq sauce; the fries were crispy and well salted. I hope to try the poutine on another visit. Noah's Ark was a nice blend of sweet and savory. The sausage was ok, but probably would try another meat choice next time. For pesto lovers, the Monster will really scratch that itch! Overall a good experience worth repeating. See you next time...

I haven't been to a Skinny Pancake since I received the devastating no-more-gluten-for-me news, so I was glad to see that they have a buckwheat crepe option for us gluten-free dweebs. I ordered the apple & brie crepe. I was informed that the hash purples go into a shared fryer, so they're not totally gluten-free. I accepted my future stomachache & ordered them anyways, because they've always been my favorite item on the menu. Service was friendly & prompt. Find a table, order at the counter, & they'll bring your food to you. The hash purples were totally delightful, as expected. 5 star color, too. The crepe was unfortunately very underwhelming. It was super thick & the texture was kinda ominous. I didn't end up finishing it. They might just need to tweak their gluten-free batter slightly to get the balance right. I believe in them (: Overall a fun lunch spot in the marvelous capital of Vermont.

Aside from Barre Dogs, there's hardly anything to look forward to eating at in Barre. The Quarry I hope is the start of a good turn in Barre business however. The employees they've hired have shown that they're very determined to give the best service they can and it shows. The menu isn't very large, but their portions certainly are. I have a very special place in my heart for any restaurant that sells Calamari. Seeing Calamari on the menu was certainly unexpected and when I saw that they flavor it with buffalo sauce, I nearly soiled myself from delight. I certainly hope this sets a trend for better businesses and adds to a more aesthetically pleasing Barre Main street. Keep it up guys!

Then she took our order, we asked for an appetizer, they were out. We then ordered our meals, two burgers and a steak bomb sandwich. After an hour we got our drinks and a new appetizer of spinach artichoke dip, it was mediocre at best. Then came the food 45 minutes later missing French fries and pickles on mine, no pickles for my husband and just a few fries. It too the poor little waitress 30 minutes to find out they ran out of fries about pickles. This is another local restaurant going to crash and burn. The poor 3 top next to us waited over an hour for 3 salads. I spoke with some of the other customers who expressed they wouldn't be returning as we would not. So disappointing.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here before going to a performance at the Lost Nations…read moretheater a few steps away. we were promptly greeted and seated by our hostess who explained that a new Southern Indian menu section was just added. We saw Masala Dosa was now offered. We are huge fans of dosa from our previous lives living and working in Singapore. We also ordered the Bindi (okra) and the lamb vindaloo. Food is super tasty - very authentic. the masala (potato) dosa came with a creamy coconut chutney, and spicy sambar, and a big bowl of gravy. We loved it. The Bindi and the lamb soon followed. Amazingly tasty, cooked to perfection. The lamb could be cut into smaller pieces with a fork. We were asked about the level of heat - spiciness - we preferred, and the medium had just the right level of burn for both of us. We also enjoyed a mango lassi (cool and very refreshing) and because my wife eats gluten free, I got to enjoy a wonderful butter naan. Portions are very generous, we both took half our meals home to enjoy the next day. All in all - a great menu selection, plenty of gluten free options, great location on Main Street, and plenty of on street free parking after 5 PM. The hostess was fun to chat with, and gave us good tips about SE Asian food in general. I highly recommend. We will come every time we go to a show at the theater or at the Savoy.

In lovely Montpelier, we stopped by Sarducci's for lunch on our way to Stowe. What a GREAT find…read more To start, we ordered some bread with garlic oil. The oil was infused with lots of crushed garlic, which left the oil itself so fragrant and tasting of garlic. Perfection. I ordered a Greek Salad with some grilled chicken added. My husband ordered a Caesar salad and their Margherita pizza. The Greek salad was magnificent... beautiful presentation, huge salad and lots of wonderful ingredients (mixed greens, marinated artichoke hearts, chickpeas, red onion, Greek olives, feta cheese and roasted red peppers), all of which I love. I always get it with Caesar dressing, just my preference, and I'm always glad I do. Their Caesar dressing was particularly delicious to add to the enjoyment of the salad. What was even a greater surprise was how much I LOVED my husband's pizza. He always offers me a slice, and I usually take one bite and say thank you. This pizza was so freaking good, I ate the entire slice. It was amazing. I think it was the pizza sauce because that pizza style usually is boring to me. This was AMAZING. Another restaurant I'm sad I don't live near. It'd be a really long car ride to get here from where I live, but if YOU are in the area, make sure you give them a try. So worth your time and money.

We enjoyed the mussels gauzzetto and calamari fritti. The Mediterranean chicken was well prepared and tasty. The pasta special was spinach feta almond slices in a light tomato sauce and I substituted penne for fettucine - I thoroughly enjoyed this dish. The margherita pizza was good. We suspect you need reservations for prime dining hours on a weekend. The decor feels a little dated but the food is great. We can forgive the $2 for a quarter loaf of bread because it's only a few dollars and the bread was fresh and served with garlic oil, not like overpriced $10-$12 Parker House Rolls, but it's not a good trend to charge for bread. Service was good until we wanted to pay our bill - that took a little bit. We'll happily return.
