So perfectly seasoned is the meat that I never use any sauces or condiments. I usually get the collared greens as a side. They don't have a truck, but have a small tented area where they display the menu, take orders and pay (credit cards accepted). Then next to it is a large wide smoker and a table where you hand over the receipt and collect your order. They offer pulled pork, brisket, ribs, chicken, roasted hog and sides (baked beans, mac & cheese, coleslaw, cornbread, etc). They use their own special dry rub, so this BBQ is not dripping wet. They do have several BBQ sauces to add to your food. The baked beans had a pleasant kick to them. I do think they should use a nice brioche roll instead of the average burger roll. I've had a lot of different BBQ from various states in the country and this was better than average. About an 8 out of 10. I was glad to see no fatty pieces in my pulled pork, but my husband found one in his brisket. That's just a matter of making sure prep is perfect. At South Mall, there are no chairs and tables to dine. So bring your own portable ones and dine near your car or take it home. The entire area is blocked and all the trucks/tents face the center of the large rectangular area. Worth checking out.

Rarely will I be in the mood for a hot dog for dinner, but seeing Grateful Dogs around the corner from me hit me at just the right time. I knew I wanted an italian sausage with peppers and onions, and I guessed just a plain hot dog. However, they have a bacon dog - a hot dog wrapped in kale! No, I joke - it was obviously wrapped in bacon. Perhaps that seems like overkill to some of you, but to you I say, shut your pie hole! Got it topped with spicy mustard (because I'm American), ketchup, onions, relish and pickles. I would rarely use "wow" on a hot dog, but this had wow. Was it 5 star restaurant in New York City "wow"? No, of course not. But it was food truck wow. And it didn't end there - the sausage with peppers and onions was something special. I don't know if it was the oil they used on the grill (probably) or the amount of oil or butter or lard (probably), or that the grill hadn't been cleaned in a while and it had the flavors of ever sausage and pepper and onion that came before (hopefully not, but probably), but this was delicious. When I was younger and living on Long Island, my friends and I would go see the Mets fairly frequently, and one of our favorite things at Shea Stadium was a sausage and peppers. My memory of those delicious tubes in a bun don't hold a candle to Grateful Dogs Maybe this was a lot of hyperbole. Maybe I've been known to exaggerate. Or, maybe you will see unicorns after trying a Grateful Dogs hot dog. You'll have to taste it to find out.
