In The Kitchen was perfect for our wedding. We had a 200 person wedding and they came through in every sense of the word. The appetizers were awesome, and the main dishes even more so. The whole thing was a nightmare. First lying about the pricing and not letting us adjust our headcount even though we were in the contracted time frame to do so. Sure we let that one go. Then you showed up and fed us canned f****** green beans at my goddamn wedding. We went above and beyond to utilize your catering services and it was a disaster. Everything was cold. Nothing was edible. I did not eat at my own wedding. I actually went around apologizing to the tables. People were coming up to me at my bride and groom table and telling me that the servers were being so nasty to the guests that I should go say something. But I didn't because you know it was my wedding day... And I wanted to have a stinking nice time despite the lack of food in my stomach. Do not use the service or whatever new name Tammy Desjadon and her Crew roll around with. Not to mention her nasty tone she started taking on the phone with my wife after we signed the contract. Stay far away from this caterer AND its' food truck, Foodie Call Food Truck. The owner Tammy lacks in professionalism and fails to deliver. I was at my friend's wedding this weekend and the appetizers weren't just COLD, they also were nothing as described or even similar to an earlier tasting that the bride and groom had. And the owner's response when asked about the change was "things change." The tater tots were frozen. Not just frozen at one point in time... but actually frozen as in icy in the middle. The shrimp in a won ton cup with siracha drizzled over it... still had the shell and feet on it! Not even deveined. I even asked about that and the owner said, "she didn't notice." So not one person who was assembling this appetizer in particular noticed that there was a shell, the feet, and vein still attached to the shrimp before they drizzled siracha on it? Exactly why noone in this company should be in food service. The food was supposed to be chicken parm and beef. The "chicken parm" was boiled chicken with some kind of seasoning thrown overtop of it and the beef was just dry shredded beef. But as Tammy says, "things change." We also had a Pretzel Bar for the "late night" snacks. The pretzels tasted like they should have been thrown away 3 days ago when the "freshness" was gone. Even Wawa doesn't disrespect their patrons with stale pretzels. Three weeks prior to the wedding, my friend reached out to me to see if I knew any caterers because they had actually booked Tammy's food truck for the rehearsal dinner and had found out that the food truck wasn't available anymore. THREE WEEKS before the event when the groom called to finalize some last minute details. It was at this point the owner informed him she was closing on a house the day of the rehearsal and the food truck wasn't available. What a shock that was to hear... and her solution to the groom was "do you want your f****ing deposit back?" After a quick Facebook search of Tammy, it was confirmed that she didn't even close on her house the Friday of the rehearsal dinner. So not only is she unprofessional, she's a liar too. We quickly found a new caterer for the rehearsal dinner and hoped that Tammy would make up for this blunder at the reception and wow, were we ever wrong! We've reached out numerous times to discuss the issues, however she's been dismissive and unapologetic. She's disabled her posts on her Facebook page, has posted lies in response to other people's reviews of her food on popular wedding review sites, and is unwilling to attempt to make things right with the bride and groom. Stay away from this caterer. She seriously lacks in professionalism, communication, and is unwilling to admit her mistakes. read more

They totally screwed me over, withheld my deposit (do NOT pay in advance...ever!), and became so unprofessionally belligerent when I tried to defend myself by quoting the contract to get my deposit back. Seeing some good review for this caterer actually makes me even more upset for my friend that the food for her beautiful wedding was less than sub par. Seeing that she is possibly capable of making decent food makes me wonder why she dropped the ball so hard for this event. Was it because you were too busy worrying about your own happiness and celebrating closing on your home Tammy? The moment the groom had to call to make final payments and you just "remembered then" that you were not going to be available for half of your commitment to their wedding. Cancelling and using foul language when they asked what that would mean for their event. Showing no signs of remorse or offering any solutions other than "do you want you're ****ing money back" Bride and groom trusted that the services they would then provide would be, at minimum, the same as what was presented during the tasting. After the last minute cancellation, one would think they would make sure the prove they were worth every penny and minute of frustration. It was not. It wasn't even close to what was described or taste tested... MULTIPLE ITEMS WERE COLD OR UNCOOKED OR CLEANED! How? Why? Guests and bride approached the staff right away with concerns about the food being cold or undone, but to no avail. They were unbothered, unapologetic and overall unprofessional. As they see these reviews they are calling guests liars and threatening the couple stating they are breaking the contract. Just went to wedding that used in the kitchen catering. Was very disappointed with the tasteless food and the amount they gave you. Think they took home more than they gave to the guests. Got two tiny pieces of meat and was told i could come back. Paid a lot extra for warm water and the service was not any better. Would not recommend them to anybody. read more

This weekend I attended a wedding I'm Mt Bethel PA.i would never recommend this company to anyone, the food, the service, the staff left much to be desired! When the couple went for the sampling they thought the food was good. What they got the day of the wedding was the worst food I have ever had ( especially for a wedding). Had heard about In The Kitchen regarding their vegan options so I figured we'd give it a shot. The day of our tasting Tammy had to cancel due to a family emergency. No big deal. I never rescheduled and ended up cancelling the wedding to I asked for a refund of my $111.30 and 4 weeks later I get a check for $81.50. Called her to ask why and no answer. I was very disappointed with the lemon pepper chicken was pretty plain. It didn't taste like lemon pepper like it then when I did my taste testing. Mashed potatoes were pretty salty but they were good mashed potatoes just way too much salt. Also, I had a lot of my guests complain. They only got two little pieces of steak which I know it's a Buffet they could come back, but I still think a lot of people were still disappointed that they only got two little small slivers. it wasn't the worst meal ever some of my guess didn't seem to mind it I guess I was just a little disappointed because I paid a lot a plate. Also are appetizers weren't supposed to have sour cream and horseradish on one of the sandwiches from what my husband said, and they had that on. Also, you pay a lot of money to add water and you don't even get ice with your water. also, if you do choose her you do you get 10 table Klos for free which is nice but they're all wrinkly so you have to iron or steam them yourself which I know we weren't too happy about that. I attended a wedding this past weekend where this company was the caterer. Let me just say I have never been more offended for someone else in my life. First let's start with the passed hors d'oeuvres...the meatballs with mozzarella pearls were cold, some sort of shrimp thing was assembled with unpeeled shrimp meaning the entire thing needed to be disassembled, and the worst was a frozen tater tot with a pickled jalapeño on top. During the wedding I walked through the kitchen to get to my room (I stayed overnight at the location) and observed catering staff assembling more hors d'oeuvres without gloves. The food was all frozen things from Walmart (great value brand frozen tots, etc). Considering how close I am with the family (I was a bridesmaid in this wedding, friends with both the bride and groom) I know how much they paid, and I think we can agree Walmart frozen items assembled on tooth picks is absurd. The bride and groom were both upset and asked why things were cold and tater tots frozen, and were blown off by catering staff. Once dinner came around I was happy my table was first in line for the food, hoping it meant a hot meal. Unfortunately, the carrots were cold and not fully cooked, chicken was supposed to be "chicken parm" but instead we were served boiled chicken with a hint of pink color to it, a tiny scoop of cold mashed potatoes, and cold pasta tossed in a skillet quickly with sauce. The salad was bagged salad from Walmart. I ate what i could, skipping my entire chicken breast as I was unsure if the pink meant it wasn't cooked or was some pathetic excuse for sauce. After this we were all very upset for the bride and groom. Attempts at discussing the issues were meant with smirks and a lack of caring by Tammy the owner. After dinner was cleaned up the new couple had one last item the caterer was to provide, a soft pretzel bar. I'm 8 months pregnant and starving at this point so myself and my husband grab a pretzel, which we quickly threw in the trash after one bite. They were microwavable pretzels, hard enough they crumbled in our mouths, but sprayed with water to stick on the salt, so they were both dry and wet at the same time. Please, do not trust this caterer. The bride AND groom both felt disappointed themselves, and the guests I encountered all agreed with myself that this was some of the worst food served at a wedding. I ended up eating snacks I had brought with me as my dinner that evening. In addition to this, after expressing our concerns to the groom, we discovered that this caterer cancelled on doing their rehearsal dinner meal two weeks prior, leaving them to scramble to find a replacement. Her response was "well do you want your f*ing deposit back!?". I can't believe this is how someone runs a company. Shame on you Tammy. Shame. Do right by your company and this couple. read more

Hi attended my friend beautiful elegant wedding but then it came to the food and the food did not match how beautiful and elegant this wedding was! We all were excited about this amazing mashed potato bar but then we get there and it's a great value instant mashed potatoes with no salt and pepper no nothing and the weakest toppings that was ever put together. The chicken Parm was chicken strips which were probably frozen with maybe marinara sauce on it couldn't really tell what it was the shrimp cocktail that you had was frozen with the feet still on them. The chicken and waffles was a cute idea but there wasn't enough for everyone the meatballs were frozen and sad looking once again not enough for everyone. Roast beef was dry! This was actually the worst catering I've ever seen in my entire life Tammy was very unprofessional I do not recommend this company for anything I actually think that the bride and groom should speak to a lawyer about how bad this food wise it was an embarrassment! You should not call yourself a cook a caterer or anything oh by the way congratulations on your house that you had to cancel your agreement for the rehearsal dinner with food trucks a week before the wedding! I was at my nieces wedding this past Saturday, 8/17/19, and all I can say is I feel so bad for the bride and groom. I would not have had this caterer if it was for a birthday party, never mind a wedding!! For starters the staff had no idea what they were even serving! When I asked what was "down the line" so I knew what to put on my plate in the beginning of the line I was told "some kind of pasta", pulled pork, and chicken parm. Well, the chicken parm... really? I thought it was fish. It was some type of chicken with a reddish color (herbs of some sort) on top. Chicken parm is a breaded chicken with mozzarella on it. ZERO points for even coming close. And it was dry and tasteless. The pulled pork... ummm.. when I got to that section, the server said "huh? This is beef". There was no pork, and believe me it was horrible and dry as well. Zero taste. Then I got to the "pasta station". A scoop of cooked pasta thrown into a small frying pan and you told her if you wanted her to smother it in the garlic olive oil or the vodka sauce. Neither was good. Oh, I should say they did have other things... like carrots and mashed potatoes! REALLY? For a wedding? Nothing fancy about either. A 5 year old could have made them. Then came the cake. Was really looking forward to the coffee after a long night. When I went up for the coffee and cake I was told "Oh, sorry, the coffee came out a half hour ago and it's gone. It's already been cleaned". ARE you kidding me?? NO coffee WITH the cake and not even an attempt to please anyone by saying "no problem, we'll put more on". So now we get to the pretzels... I think they were pretzels, maybe picked up in New York several days prior because they were anything BUT good. Last came the end of the night. Real classy I must say... the staff came around (oh, I should add that DURING dinner I couldn't find ANYONE and we had to sit for over an hour just to get more water on our table), and they took whatever drink we had left in our glasses and poured them into plastic cups saying "I hope you don't mind, we have to clean up so we can leave". SUMMARY: DO not, I repeat, DO NOT use this company. I heard horror stories about interactions with the owner Tammy as well. She obviously is ill-equipped to handle a wedding. Before you blame the bride and groom, when they went to taste the food it was good and obviously the only time this company puts their best foot forward. Awful. If I ever saw a company that should apologize and do something about the bill it is THIS company! Awful food. So sorry for the bride and groom. I also need to add that they planned a food truck for the rehearsal dinner with this company as well, and she backed out!!! Tammy, get into another line of work! *** I HAVE to add one more thing. In another site I was told by several people that the owner called all of us who gave her bad reviews for this wedding "liars and Hillbillies". I must say, I could not stop laughing at that remark!! Tammy, if we WERE "hillbillies" as YOU put it (not me, I wouldn't use a slur), we probably WOULD HAVE thought the food and service were wonderful! It is because we are not that we know this is the worst catering job I have ever seen. And for those who are even thinking about using this catering company, I have to tell you that over 100 people could not possibly be wrong!! The people that have all comment negatively are friends, family, acquaintances, etc... and several people did not even know others who commented. The only liar here is Tammy. Why don't you put your big pants on and admit that you messed up royally for this occasion and own up to it, instead of trying to cover the horrific job you and your staff did with lies, accusations, and childish gibberish. UNPROFESSIONAL! I just had my wedding catered by them on June 3rd 2022, and I feel completely screwed over by them! I should have listened to the previous bad reviews I saw on her page, they're accurate! We paid for everything in full upfront and our final head count before the wedding ended up being 115 instead of the 125 that we paid for, in which she said she would be refunding us for the overpayment. Over 2 weeks later and still no refund, after asking her multiple times now she is trying to say we owe her $133. Literally just trying to screw us over. When we try to talk to her about it she doesn't let you speak at all and constantly interrupting! EXTREMELY RUDE! Then just blocked my number immediately. Also, we were told they know the bride and groom are busy on their wedding day so they will have plates saved for us to be able to eat, SHE DID NOT! They were already packed up most of the buffet before I realized they didn't have a plate for us and was starving. She was also suppose to serve mini cheesecakes which did not go out. read more

Stay away from this company! During the taste test, the food was good. The prices were fair and they were very personable. Well the week before the wedding, Tammy (the owner) wanted to collect more money in order to provide coffee cups and glassware even though this was supposed to be included in the service. The foid served was not what was contracted. We ordered braised short ribs and received a very fatty brisket. The shrimp dish only had 4 shrimp per plate. The vegetables (Brussels sprouts) were undercooked and had no seasoning. The chicken tacos that were part of our taste test were awesome. The ones served were frozen ones from Sams club. We requested cheesecake bites. Those were frozen and never put out. When food was served, it was brought by type of dish and not by table.there were people waiting for their dinner when others were still waiting to be served. The worst thing though was what they did with the leftover wedding cake- they dumped it in the driveway by the dumpster. They NEVER asked anyone what should be done with it. We wanted their cake. There was a lot of it left. When the other mother attempted to reach out to Tammy via email, Tammy blocked her! This was a nightmare. They are very unprofessiona. My daughters wedding was August 3rd. The wedding was held at Wallenpaupack Creek Farm. This is near the Poconos. The ceremony was outside and the reception held in the barn. The caterer (In The Kitchen) never visited the venue for the wedding. Hors d'oeuvres were served for guest along with a cheeses table and fruit table. By the time we got to the barn the cheese had melted together and the fruit was warm. There were no ice packs or anything to keep the cheese and fruit cold. We sat down to dinner and a wilted small salad was placed in front of us. Then we waited approximately 15 to 20 minutes for the appetizer, which was pasta that was just room temperature, 5 minutes later the server came over with crates cheese and said sorry we forgot the cheese. The main course was then served about 20 minutes later. Several of the guest that ordered chicken got it frozen in the middle and if it wasn't frozen it was barley warm and pink in the middle. The fish served was the same way barley warm and slightly dry. During dinner a pretzel bar was assembled. About an hour later the pretzels were still frozen. I can only hope clients that are considering this caterer will think twice. We trusted this caterer and was so disappointed.
