​​Outstanding customer service A few minutes after my husband and I walked in, I received some devastating news from home, and I sat at the table crying. The staff immediately jumped into action. Not having any clue as to why I was crying, they brought me a glass of water and offerred a hug. When I told them what happened, they brought me a beer flight and a plate of their pretzel bites. Not only did they show compassion, but the pretzel bites were delicious. (Their honey mustard sauce and the homemade nachos cheese sauce was really good.) I commend the staff for their wonderful response to my very unusual situation. (I'm sure there have not been many times where a customer just came in and sat at the table crying.) We had a pizza craving so headed here to take care of that. We started with a beer (of course) at a place where they make their own beer. I chose the Juicy Booty, looking for a nice smooth IPA. It was delicious and I loved the logoed glass that went with it. For pizza, we chose and make your own with pepperoni and black olives. The crust was good. It was the thickness of a hand tossed. Lots of toppings. We were wondering if the 12in would be big enough and it was perfect. No leftovers and left the table not feeling too stuffed. Service was great. Great stop. read more

First, I love St. John Brewers' Summer Ale. And I REALLY love pizza. So this was a must stop for us. I'm a pizza nerd. It's my favorite meal/food group/etc. I typically make some variation of pizza several times per week at home. I'm constantly trying new dough recipes. So with that said, we actually ate here twice during our 8 night stay on the island, once in the restaurant and once for takeout. It definitely hits the spot! This is basically an elevated bar pie, and that is NOT a criticism. It's definitely the best pizza on the island and actually the best pizza I've had anywhere in the Caribbean. They use top quality ingredients and have some great combinations. And honestly it's the most reasonably priced food on this entire island. I've definitely had terrible pizza that cost way more than this on the mainland. If I had to think of a criticism, it would be with the spinach and artichoke pie. As you can see in the picture, it had tons of artichokes! Not nearly enough spinach however. The That's My Jam was exceptional, as was the pepperoni. My 11 year old son likes pineapple on pizza unfortunately, but he says that it was fantastic. read more

The price of the food was excellent considering that it was able to satisfy my family of 5 with 2 teenagers who always come ready to put the food away and the cost was under $100. Now we didn't have drinks which would have bumped the price so keep that in mind. The atmosphere was exactly what you would expect for a place called "The Tap Room" so it's is all in the name. First off, Molly was excellent. Super super friendly, helpful and on her game. Great service. The place is very nice. The AC felt great on a hot day. We were all famished and ready to eat. Amazing food and drink selection! Definitely try the award winning buffalo giant wings. With the bleu cheese. We got the Caesar salad, steak wrap, mahi sandwich and bacon jam pizza. All of us were throughly impressed with the quality and flavor! It's nice that you can sample drinks (often 5 oz for $2.50) and get bigger versions if you like it. Loved it here. Super cute and there were a lot of menu options. We ordered the nachos to go with our beers, and they were great! The bbq drizzle on top was a game changer. I ordered the flight of beers. My favorite is definitely the Juicy Booty IPA. I love that they have flights as an option. The place is seemingly overpriced and underwhelming. I tried the mule and it didn't have any ginger bite or much effervescence to it so I was left feeling like it was flat. More than the least amount of stars for the ice cream shop aon the corner serving their adult root beer with some soft serve as a diy float. The larger disappointment came when I ordered a margarita pizza sans dried/roasted tomatoes. I was greeted with some flatbread that had garlic spread on it(not a garlic spread per se, but plain ole minced garlic put one the bread) with a few melted cheink of mozzarella. The didnt put a pizza sauce of any kind on it and actually charged me for a small side of marinara sauce. Broke af for the price. The view from their outdoor area is of the parking lot. The server recommended lemonade that they make in-house so I got some. It was carbonated and not very sweet but somehow lacking in true lemon flavor. I mentioned that I didn't like it and she took it off the bill. I ordered the BBQ pork nachos. The sauce had a good flavor but was so spicy hot that it literally burned my lower lip. I had ordered a bunch of extra veggies on top but they were diced tiny and the excessive sauce covered everything and made all of the chips super soggy. The cheeseburger enjoyed by my dinner partner was ok. This might be a good place to grab a beer (maybe a burger?) in town, but I would stick to that. read more

The Caesar salad was very good. The one area they really need to address is how to prepare/serve a meal that is more than one course. We got our salad, burger, and pizza all at the same time. Not what we had wanted or expected. Overall, serve was good except for the timing. If you want a salad, then your main course, I recommend you clearly state that when ordering. The Taproom is a gem--don't miss it! It's near the east end of Mongoose Junction. We sat on the small balcony and enjoyed a couple local IPA's (Juicy Booty Hazy/Sky Flower), and shared the Warm Bavarian Pretzel (1/3/24). The pretzel was a generous size, and just perfect with the ice cold IPA's. Service was friendly and relaxed, and no one made us feel guilty about taking a table at the dinner hour, just to have a couple beers. If you go to St. John, don't miss the local beers! They are wonderful! We like hoppy, flavorful beers, but not TOO hoppy, and these fit the bill perfectly. Great location if you're on St John and shopping around the Moongoose area. Plenty of menu items and you get your moneys worth as they dont skip. First off, they have the Best dang root beer I've had in a while. Tasted like a carbonated root beer hard candy. I down 2 glasses because I haven't had root beer that good in probably a decade. Super dope place. In a touristy plaza that looks made for cruise ship tourists but has super sweet architecture and vibes. Came here during the Covid pandemic so things were low key. After hitting up Trunks Beach, we bounced around looking for grub. I wanted to find something super local-really wish there were complete home in the wall spots on these islands that the locals only go to but that's irrelevant to this experience ... Showed up with about 20 min to spare for happy hour ($1 off beers and $5 off pizzas). We sat outside on a balcony but were afraid we'd be missed by the waitstaff for hh so I peaked in and got there attention (sorry, I wasn't trying to be an ass!). Got the BBC (bbq bacon and chicken pizza), blackened mahi mahi sandwich, two pints of their own brew of island hopper ipa, a ginger beer soda and root beer soda. The fish sandwich was legit. First of all, kudos for making the jerk chicken sandwich with Cajun remoulade sauce as it's not on the menu we were given, but it is on the online menu. It was juicy and full of flavor. The blue burger was also good, per my friends' review. Now let's talk about the veggie pizza. It was the most visually disappointing and disgusting pizza we have ever encountered. The fish tacos were amazing. 3 taco was way to much for me to eat on my own. They are larger then your standard street tacos. The 1/2 rack of ribs was mouth watering. It fell off the bone. The broccoli looked like it was airfried with butter and spices. The Mac and cheese was some of the best I have had. It was not drenched in cheese. Just enough to coat the macaroni.
