Delicious! Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars at this location is because we had to wait an extra 10 minutes to pick up our order vs. what the pickup time said. I can only compare this to The Tap and Still in Redhook, home of the best burger on Saint Thomas. The biggest difference is the vibe. The building of the Havesight location is newer with more seating and an on site brewery. The music is definitely intended to cater to the cruise ship crowd with classic Rock and Roll instead of the island Hip Hop of Redhook. The service is comparably good even though Havensight was very busy with a giant NCL ship in port. Multiple servers visited our table frequently and kept us well stocked with ice cold drinks. The burger and fries were on par--amazing. If I had to give an edge to one over the other, I'm going with Redhook for the rustic, authentic feel. The edge is thin, though. Rolled off the cruise ship did some shopping and found this little spot before heading back to the ship. It was an incredibly great find. The day we were there we were celebrating our Memorial Day. We felt right at home with a big American flag draped over the bar area and it seemed appropriate that I should have an ice cold Budweiser right from the states. The burgers at Tap & Still might be one of the best burgers I have ever had. I ordered the double cheeseburger with sautéed onions, pickles, lettuce, and tomato. I'm shocked that this massive burger was only $10. This burger rivals any gourmet burger chain. Our table also ordered the fries and the Asian wings. The wings were so good that we had to order more the next day when we were picking up barbecue next door. Service was super friendly and attentive. When we mentioned the music was a little too loud they adjusted the volume and when I realized I forgot to bring bug spray our waiter brought us some gin to dab on us as a natural bug spray. This spot was amazing for our young boys because the outdoor area is gated off so our kids could run around the picnic tables and burn off a little energy! Easy access at end of Havensight cruise port ... but just ok for pricey food and drinks. DH and I stopped in here for a drink ... as we waited for brewer across the street to open. Hmm ... there were signs everywhere for Rock City Brewing and even some beer tanks/casks in what seemed like a brewpub. But no luck ... as they apparently lost their brewer quite a few years ago and only had about 6-8 on tap from local breweries such as Leatherback (yes - the one across the street that we were waiting on) and St John (DH got the Sky Flower IPA - just ok but crazy priced at $11/pint). Looked like typical pub fare with hamburgers, fries, wings and even funnel cake ... but nothing fancy and price seemed a bit much. I did get a (bartender recommended) Lime & Coconut drink that was ok ... but again, not sure I'd pay $10 for what seemed like only 5 sips in a super small glass. This is one of my stops anytime I make a trip home. I decided to grab lunch as I was out shopping. The table I seated my self at had a wet seat, but they keep paper towels on the table so clean up was quick and easy. Ordering is simple fill out the order sheet with what you want and your condiments and flag down a waiter. The food took a bit longer than expected, but it was good a usual. We visited the St. John and St. Thomas Havensight locations of Tap and Still. The St. John location was a lot better (both food and service wise). The prices are cheap compared to everything else on the island. The service we experienced at this location was not good. We ordered our drinks and they never came - we had to flag down another waiter to get them to bring them after the food came. Same thing with the check - as our waitress disappeared. Then, the other waiter who we cashed out with who had witnessed the crap service we got decided to sneakily auto-add a gratuity onto our bill. And this was after making a comment at the bar jokingly to me "what do I need to do to get some service around here?!" when he saw me standing there awaiting the check and a refill on my soda. We were only 2 people and there was no policy stated on the menu that tip would be auto added. I wrote into the owners to let them know about this experience and did not hear back, which tells you something as well. Too bad! :-/ As someone else commented, sit at the bar if you want service (at all I guess). Or just visit one of the other locations instead of this one. read more

Best bang for your buck on the island. I paid $10 for a solid burger and fries. I don't think you can get a decent meal like that anywhere else around here. I did not get cheese ($1) and got tap water. Again, watching my caloric intake. Service was quick and friendly. Once it got busy it took a bit to get our bill. Basic menu but they do it well. Everything is served in a brown bag or "to-go" fashion dining in or not. They have local beers on tap. And a full bar. You can get a milk shake with a shot of liquor in it. It was a good lunch stop. I would go back. This not the classiest place. But I like the use of wooden pallets for the restaurant ceiling. Music was good. They have some great happy hour specials also. read more

Decent burger, poor service! Our waitress took our order and brought our drinks. Never saw her again. Someone else brought the two burgers and one french fry we ordered. After we finished, we waited about 15 minutes for our check. My wife and I joked that maybe she quit! I finally went to the bar to ask to pay so we could leave. When the lady at the bar handed me the check is when we noticed an 18 percent gratuity was added to our bill. I questioned it and she stated that they do that to every bill. I stated that now I understood why our waitress never visited our table again; she didn't need to, she was getting her tip either way. I usually tip between 20-30 percent anyway, it's having a tip forced on me that I don't agree with. I will never patronize this establishment again. read more
