    "butt trim"???
    Oriana F.

Edited: Molly left me a very kind voicemail apologizing and stating she hadn't noticed the bad grooming because he was in his carrier. I appreciate the apology. the first time here I was very happy with everything. My cat seemed a little stressed but cool about it when I picked him up. I was like ok awesome!! Felt I could trust them, perfect. I called this morning asking for an appointment and they called back saying they're booked this week but had a cancellation today. Great! HOWEVER, this time I cannot understand WTF happened. When I called, Molly said she could give me no explanation and that Dimpy must've just been "off" today. First of all she said she opened the carrier and my cat, Dimpy had pooped IN it. In 7 years of traveling with him cross country, multiple cars, airplanes, TSA lines, he travels up to LA with me in the car every other week... etc he's NEVER done that. She suggested it happened on the way there even though I live literally 4 blocks away. I was like huh? I would've noticed!!! But I get it ya know he's a cat they can have issues I'm assuming it happened when I first left or something. I apologize about my cat having an off day... THEN I get home and I was SHOCKED. He had feces still on his stomach and he is SHAVED down on his entire butt region. like what possessed them to shave him this way is beyond me. Last time they trimmed and he was clean and amazing but this time it's actually appalling. Also, if he had pooped and they thought something was wrong, why didn't they call me!?!? Molly also told me that next time to call in advance and they'll have scheduled later in the day... like what?! I could've brought him next week even lol no one said the groom was urgent! Also, If he seemed too stressed that there are too many dogs, why didn't they just wait for there to be less dogs and just give me a call? He's a CAT! like I wasn't in a rush!!! When I called Molly, there was at first no apology just defensive, "there's nothing I can do about the hair that's not there anymore" and "we can re-bathe him if you want" like what?? My cat is hissing at me now while I try to clean feces off of his tummy - I'm not gonna take him back - why didn't they notice he wasn't clean when they put him in his carrier? their job is to send him back to me CLEAN for $90 CASH! Needless to say they've lost my business. Filling their schedule seemed to be the most important thing for them and not the wellbeing or my cat. IF you take your cat here make sure it's wayy in the afternoon because any other time is just too crazy and Molly should've made sure of that for me! I would feel better if I felt they were telling me the truth like a dog got too close or my cat freaked out bc of barking or SOMETHING to explain this shave and why he's so shaken up! honesty goes a long way and this review would not be happening if I had some type of understanding of what happened. honestly though, since when does "a little butt trim" mean SHAVE THE ENTIRE BOTTOM OF MY CAT? I would honestly would be laughing at this shave and how ridiculous it looks if my cat wasn't so traumatized! Wish we would've had a better experience because I was really happy to have found a groomer so close to home... oh well. Edited to add the DM

For thirty plus years, Molly, Garrett and her entire crew at Tail Waggers have gone above and beyond in all ways for my pets and family. For three standard poodles and countless rescues animals, I have been going to this exemplary business and I cannot say enough for their kindness, love and care with all of my animals and our family, as well. If I could give them a ten star review, I would. Recently my 16 year old large standard poodle, Sweetie, was near the end of her life. The care and extra time they spent one on one with her was just incredible. They helped her stand, calmed her, and carried her to my car when she was barely able to walk. They took extra care to teach her to be calm while being groomed when she was a baby, and loved her right to the end. She was never afraid to go to Tail Waggers. They are giving the same amazing care to another 17 year old poodle I have. He too, has been going to Tail Waggers since he was a baby. Again, I recommend this groomer to everyone I know without hesitation. These are professional, kind people with a great small business. Many thanks to The Tail Wagger from generations of Amyouny poodles and rescues.

Elf loves going to Tailwagger for her Spa experience!

Fabulous in every way! They love the animals they groom. Incredibly professional. Excellent groomers. They take care of your pet as they would a human. Kind. Kind. Kind.

Thank you so much Garrett for taking such great care of Louie yesterday!!! I was so scarred we were going to have to shave him!!! Louie went from beach hair back to glamour! Thank you so much for all your hard work!

Two girls shopping, not as glamorous as they could be.

I took our two six month old golden doodle puppies for their first face feet and Fanny groom. Garret and Molly were the ones who took care of our baby girls. They said the were " a handful ". I guess so - since they came back not brushed out, not much of a trim, and not completely dry. Very disappointing for our first grooming effort. We definitely will not return. They were a referral from a dog park. So much for that.

The morning of my appointment before I brushed him out.

Do you do flea baths? I have two Boston Terriers. About 21 lbs. how much would it cost?

Yes, we use only natural products however. For the pair would be $90.00

The second time now is he was cut under near his back leg. Jason the owner needs to hire more people so that Jose can continue to trim The dogs. What the issue is Jason the owner is only hiring 1 person to answer the phones , trim and wash the dogs. So when they get a wiggly dog Jose is left by himself to answer the phones and trim the dog. This is not safe! ;( I have heard another customer call in asking why his dog is limping and I bet the dog fell off. I will only bring my dog back if Jason hires someone to answer the phones , help with grooming and then have another employee there for those dogs that need some extra TLC- my dog is a rescue and was abused so he is scared of the noise and needs that extra person to hold while the other employee can trim him. I notified Jason and he has not responded. I have been going to him for over a year and I am not happy with my dog being injured twice. I would be careful and if you want to see for yourself you can stay and watch and see for yourself. Please hire more people for the dogs safety. Thank you Jason for taking this review and changing your standard of care for our dogs.

Several dog owners recommended this place @Dog Tub in Laguna Beach, I'm so glad they did! The first thing I noticed was the setup: a step-up tub with a door that opens, which means no lifting a 95-lb dog. Huge win. There are only three tubs, so it's never overwhelmingly busy, and everything is clean and well organized. They offer a wide selection of shampoos, including some really high-quality options. I was told huskies love the mink oil shampoo, and they were absolutely right, Leo smelled amazing and his coat looked great. They also start you off with brushes and tools, including a super effective undercoat remover that worked wonders on Leo. The towel system, a microfiber shammy you slip your hands, genuinely absorbs water instead of just smearing it around. And the high-end dryer actually reached all the layers of Leo's thick coat. For the first time ever, he dried completely! From the moment you walk in, the owner, Angela, greets you with a big smile. The staff is warm, helpful, and clearly loves animals. They have everything you need, including specialty foods and products Angela personally recommends. They even walk around handing out treats, so your dog is happy the entire time. I will definitely be back!

Since going to the Dog Tub, we have brought our own dog shampoo and cream rinse and bathe the dogs in a single tub. On 5/3/26, when we went to check out, a young woman/girl at the register charged us $20.00 instead of $15.00 per dog.. We asked if there was a fee increase several times, but she didn't respond. She finally said the $5.00 additional fee for each dog was because they were both in a single tub?? Then said it was because there was a lot of hair left in the tub. We always rinse down the tub when we are done and happened to look at the drain before removing our dogs and there may have been a 'light' 3-inch single layer of hair in the drain - an easy swipe to clean. Neither of her explanations made sense to us since it is assumed that the adjustment of fees per size of dog takes into account the added clean up. We did not observe the young woman at any time to examine the tub while we were there and felt she was randomly charging us an added $10.00 for no apparent reason other than what was communicated to justify the extra fee. It left us feeling bad about your business practice since it was unclear why your business would charge customers $10.00 more than expected without a clear and reasonable explanation. The young woman never assisted us at any time and never offered any assistance while we were there; she only overcharged us. Be aware and be certain to ask about what you will be charged since to us there was no plausible explanation for the upcharge.

Having worked in the mental health field, I choose not to engage in combative or confrontational exchanges, which is why I did not argue with you in the moment. However, choosing not to argue does not invalidate my experience. As a fellow business owner, I stand by the fact that feedback--especially when it is uncomfortable--is part of operating a business. My review is not an attack; it is an honest observation based on my direct interaction with you. It is also consistent with prior public feedback regarding similar concerns about your conduct. Respect goes both ways, and professionalism should always remain the standard--especially from leadership. Original review: Excellent groomers, but the owner's behavior was unacceptable. The grooming service itself was great and deserves five stars. Unfortunately, the owner's conduct completely undermined the experience. He was aggressive, dismissive, and unwilling to accept any accountability. Rather than engaging in a productive conversation, he chose to rant, making the interaction uncomfortable and unprofessional. As a business owner, I understand that problems can occur--but professionalism, accountability, and respectful communication are non-negotiable. This experience was tarnished solely due to the owner's behavior, which is disappointing given the quality of the grooming staff.
