When we arrived for the appointment, Yuri took a look at Daisy(Havenese/Shih Tzu) and recommended what she wanted to do for her. I leave her grooming to the professionals. She looked so happy and beautiful when I arrived to pick her up 1 1/2 hours later. Yuri proceeds to tell me that it looked like one of Daisy's ears looked red and may be an infection. That same day I took Daisy to her Vet and sure enough, she had an ear infection. If Yuri didn't catch it, I don't know if I would have caught it myself. Note: New clients need to show proof of current rabies vaccination I am new to the area and was looking for a groomer. My dog is a highly anxious rescue and a senior. I prefer and have used mobile grooming in the past but have been having a hard time finding a reputable one who is taking on new clients and/or not obscenely expensive. I stumbled upon Seashore Pet Spa from the Nextdoor app when a few locals mentioned their love for the company after someone asked for a groomer recommendation. Well, they were right! What I also particularly appreciate about this groomer is that the owner/Yuri works on one dog at a time and does not kennel! When my dog was ready an hour and a half after drop off he was just chilling in the front gated waiting area by a large floor window when I arrived. It's the perfect setting to keep him calm and occupied as he observes his surroundings. This place is A+ and his cut turned out wonderful as well! I have officially found my new go-to place! P.S. A small shop but excellent one on one service. I was really dissatisfied and disappointed with my last groomer, so that prompted me on a hunt for a new location for my fur babies. I came across this shop on Yelp- had excellent reviews. it was quite a distance for me but I was willing to give it a try. First impression- shop was small clean and cute. I filled out paperwork, then reviewed the shops rules- which I appreciated, since sometimes this is an important detail that should be reviewed. The owner and I discussed type of cut, my fur babies temperament and confirmed he would be done in 1hr and 30 min. You have 15-20 mins to pick up your dog. The reason for this is they do not kennel your dog, so it has freedom to roam. I was super pleased with his cut, and the shampoo they use is very refreshing and smells great. I took him to Dana point Harbor for a walk the next day and had tons of compliments. I definitely will bring him back, I can see they really showed attention to detail, and really cared for your dog. I find that most grooming places have a feeling of turning and burning, I understand that this is how you make money, but I did not feel that way at all. read more
