The service delivered here at The Tag Stop, eases the pain, of having to pay close to 700 dollars for California annual vehicle registration fees. If it wasn't for the amazing convenience and sweet little angels that work here at the Tag Stop, I would probably be in a really bad mood, for what I have to pay for tags for my ride here in CA... But.... THE TAG STOP saves the day again. I will gladly come back here every yearn for tag renewals, based on how helpful and convenient this place is. read more

Every time it comes around to renew my registration, this is the place to go. I like going here because I get my tag stickers on the spot. It is usually very quick less than 10 minutes and there is no wait. However, they do charge a little bit of an extra fee so if you're prepared to Spend a little more money, it is worth a convenience. read more

In and out in about 5 minutes! I couldn't renew my registration on-line because I have moved, in addition to changing my name. The Tag Stop made renewal easy breezy. Just FYI, they charge 3% of Debit Cards and 5% for Credit Cards. read more

Absolutely amazing! This was a first for me, took no time, we got in and out super fast. The guys in the shop were so fast with my smog.

I was so stressed trying to figure out how to transfer titles for the first time and Denise was so helpful! She made a stressful situation so much better for me. I was so surprised it was so easy to do here. I will never go to the DMV unless I have to again! Thank you so much Denise! read more

I have used Alpine Tag Stop at least half a dozen times over past few years and everything goes well and I enjoy the service, but I'm here to say thank you to the owner for responding to my request for replacing their Torn American flags hanging out front of the building and cleaning up the weeds. You are a good neighbor. Being one of the most visible buildings in the middle of town this sure helps make the town look sharp. Thank you for a quick response., our Alpine community appreciates it. read more

Decided to use this service to save time. Had 2 trailers that needed titles and permanent registration. I was willing to pay for the convenience of not going to the DMV. Huge mistake. They inputted my address incorrectly. I was fortunate to receive my titles at all. I'm lucky I live in a small town with tiny post office. Now I have over paid and will be wasting time having this corrected. Terrible experience with tag stop. DO NOT GO HERE read more

I'll give them one star because they answered the phone other than that the lady on Tuesday morning February 4th at 9:37 they know who they are on the schedule they were short rude and the customer service she could definitely use some classes on it I hope the owner sees this your little Missy needs some help in customer service I'll drive the El cajon first before I come to your little Alpine spot your service sucks read more

This shop refused to provide me service unless I paid for two years of registration which was over $800. Buyer beware of these questionable practices. read more

I highly recommend The Tag Stop for DMV services. Fast and friendly service. Clean, easy access, easy to find location... just look for the brown stand alone bldg near the corner. Was recommended by a local business for DMV car registration renewal. Even when I didn't have the renewal mail from DMV as I lost it. read more

Denise helped us figure out the best registration solution for an older vehicle. I highly recommend this office!

Denise is super sweet and helpful, always! God bless her, she's always very professional. Honest and wonderful service! Thank you, Denise!

Was having issues with the DMV as always as well as it having at least a 2 hour wait so I called this place. I talked to Britney on the phone trying to explain my situation. Wasn't going as I liked so I asked if i could come down there and explain in person which she agreed would be more helpful. Within in 5 minutes of my wife and I being there she had all of our issues figured out and fixed. And within 20 minutes had everything We needed in hand. We will definitely be back there for any dmv related items we have that can be done there. Completely worth it. read more

So easy, so fast so helpful, Denice was so polite and walked me through everything I needed, way more convenient going here than the DMV, was out in less than 10 minutes read more

Excellent service. Denise is a pleasure with a wonderful attitude. Every time I use them they give me great service. I would highly recommend! read more

What a great place, quick in responses, knowledgeable and very friendly. Denice had me taking care of in no time.

I sent my 17-year-old daughter to pick up her registration and tags and this place took $336.50 and sent her away with nothing stating that she needed to get the car's recall issue fixed before they will provide the tags and registration. When I arrived and demanded a refund since no goods or services were provided, they said there was nothing they could do because the information had already been sent to the DMV. The proper course would have been to advise the customer to get the car's recall issue fixed and then come back and pay for the registration. For the owner's edification, a deliberate act that is designed to secure an unfair or unlawful gain or cause another person to suffer a loss constitutes fraud. Taking money without providing the registration that was paid for and on the condition of some future event possibly occurring is fraud. Finally, taking advantage of a minor in this manner is beyond deplorable. read more

Went here to transfer registration to Calif. Gave me a price and refused to tell me what the breakdown of fees were. Rudely said once I pay the $370 dollars they would give me the information. Less then 45 minutes at the DMV saved me $225. read more

Needed to get replacement sticker and stop by the tag shop. Was in and out in about 5 minutes. A little pricier than AAA but definitely worth not making the trip down the hill. Thanks. read more

This is the place to go! No DMV hassles. Couldn't find our current registration for our boat, and couldn't get replacement stickers online. Went to "The Tag Stop" in Alpine and was in and out in twenty minutes! They have a minimal fee, but was so worth it. Brittany helped me right away, was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Hope everyone has as great an experience as I did! read more

Avoid the DMV mess and come here. Shuri was super friendly and helpful. A million times less stressful than the DMV madness.

This company makes my life so much easier. They are quick and curate. They save me the time of "driving down the hill" to the DMV and the cost is well worth avoiding the lines at the DMV. Always go here if possible. read more
